Illusion Magician

The once per turn thing is a bit much; switch maybe over to when it normal summoned other wise there are a lot of targets for this card to grab.

I don't know any Spellcaster deck that can be used with this card to make it too much, except the last format where all the Performages were unlimited. This card was made in mind of the current format, and to make it easier to get out Spellcaster Fusion, Xyz, and Synchro. (Mainly Arcanite Magician support).

Yeah no, we don't need a spellcaster version of Zombie master with a larger selection pool. This in a shaddoll deck even without construct gives you a lot of power, this in Lightsworns gives Lylla or Lumina to set up for heavy plays, Magician Pendulum can use it to recycle their discarded Magicians. On top of that the new blue eyes support is coming out and its full of spellcasters that you'd want to re-use, you could put maiden or a number of their new stuff back on board. It's selection pool is too large for such a minor cost, I didn't mean to give it it such a hard criticism but yeah

TL;DR!!!!!

I can see where you are getting at. However, I don't know how this would greatly benefit Shaddolls, since only winda is a Spellcaster. Her effect isn't even an quick effect, and the discard cost wouldn't trigger Shaddoll effects. For Lightsworns, the best play would always be going for Minerva, the Exalted Lightsworn. I don't see how it would set up Lyla and Lumina for heavy plays, aside from possibly getting two Level 4s out by Summoning Illusion Magician, target Lumina, and then targeting Raiden or another Level 4. You could make Star Eater with this, but with all the other field removal cards we have nowadays, Star Eater is less intimidating when it hits the field.

Magician Pendulums aren't even OP. Compared to PePe, Magicians are actually much nicer lol. Illusion would fit well in with them, but it wouldn't make them outright ridiculous. Sky Iris combo with her for a draw and Odd-Eyes add isn't even broken, compared to the combo with Dracoslayers and Plushfire. I'm not as familiar with the new Blue-Eyes archetype, but I'm almost certain that it would be a Tier 1 deck at most. Even with Illusion Magician, she can only pull back the tuners, not the dragons.

Ok all Shaddoll monsters excluding the fusions are spellcasters that's what I was getting at. Secondly you use this card to grab Lyla to make a Minerva, of you use Lumina to bring out any other Lightsworn monster to make more plays etc. And finally the reasons why I didn't mention PePe anything is because the Adjusted List killed it, there isn't a plushfire play to make anymore. Finally this card has way too much potential for a level 4 and since there isn't a hard OPT you can basically just load up the field and make power plays all over the place; too much potential for this format, if it wasn't Spellcasters if it was a minor type that doesn't have a lot of support it would be fine well it wouldn't but it would be better than this.

Well, okay. Thanks for mentioning Minerva (Priestess) version, since it would actually make it better for Shaddolls if they played Minerva, lol.

I still can't see why Lightsworns would become too OP. Lyla or Lumina have to be in the Graveyard in order for Illusion to have a valid target in Lightsworns. Also, there is no Spellcaster support that would Special Summon Illusion from the hand or Deck. COTH can bring her back to the grave, and then her effect could get quite powerful.

Yes, I also know the adjusted list kills Pepe. I still can't see too much power plays with Illusion Magician though. You'll have to give me a specific example where she becomes too powerful for her type. She can use her effect on herself, yes, but the cards in your hand would be disappearing fast.

Illusion can make easy Minervas, but so could Elder god Norden combo with Instant Fusion.
