Eldritch Knowledge

[ Field Spell ]

Once during your turn, during any phase:  You can destroy 1 monster you control;  Special Summon 1 Level 2 or lower "Eldritch" monster from your Extra Deck.

 

Eldritch Birthright

[ Spell / Quickplay ]

Destroy 1 monster you control; Normal Summon 1 Level 2 "Eldritch" monster from anywhere (except your Deck).  You cannot activate "Eldritch Birthright" if you have already Normal Summoned this turn.

 

Eldritch Discovery

[ Spell ]

Add 1 "Seeker of Knowledge" from your Deck to your hand.

 

Eldritch Dormancy

[ Spell ]

Negate the effects of all LIGHT Fiend-type monsters on the field.  Gain 500 Life Points for each effect negated by "Eldritch Dormancy".  You can only activate "Eldritch Dormancy" once per turn.

 


 

Seeker of Eldritch Knowledge

[ EARTH || LEVEL 4 ]

When this card is Normal Summoned:  Activate "Eldritch Knowledge" or "Eldritch Birthright" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard.  You can only activate the effect of "Seeker of Knowledge" once per turn.  If there are no targets for the effect of "Seeker of Eldritch Knowledge":  You lose the duel.

When this card is Synchro Summoned:  Change the DEF of all monsters with a higher DEF than this card to 1000.  For every monster affected this way, this card gains 500 ATK. Cannot be destroyed by battle.  Cannot be targeted by monster effects.

When this card is Synchro Summoned:  Activate "Eldritch Dormancy" from your hand or Deck.  If you have activated 3 "Eldritch Dormancy" during this Duel by the effect of "Eldritch Goddess Ixnn":  You win the Duel.  This card cannot attack.

I think i might try a review myself. I'll only be focusing mostly on the negatives, with a summary paragraph about the positives.

Sacking 1 monster, and getting ANY Syncro/Fusion/XYZ/Pendulum of the archtype on the field seems like way too little cost and way too much reward to be fair. In my opinion, such an effect is too overpowered to be reconciled by any cost.

 

"Negate the effects of all LIGHT Fiend-type monsters on the field.  Gain 2000 Life Points for each effect negated by "Eldritch Dormancy"."

 

I get that its kinda specific, and is meant to target your cards, but 2000 LP? That is WAY too much. I'd say reduce it to a max of 700, and thats even pushing it.

This part of the effect kinda contradicts itself. Very few cards let you normal summon twice or more during a turn, so the second half seems very superfluous. 

 

"  Cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects.  Cannot be targeted."

 

These are the kinds of effects i loathe. Cant be removed from the feild? Well then, just set it to defense position and stall out the duel to eternity! The only way to bypass that is by inflicting effect or piercing damage, neither of which are very common. And look at that, five monsters have that effect.

 

"When this card is Synchro Summoned:  The DEF of all monsters on the field becomes 1000.  For every monster affected this way, this card gains 700 ATK."

 

This has the potential to be extremely powerful. You didnt specify to exclude monsters that already have 1000 def, so it targets itself as well as other cards. I suggest reducing the amount to 600 or 500, to be safe.

 

"When this card is Synchro Summoned:  Activate "Eldritch Dormancy" from your hand or Deck.  If you have activated 3 "Eldritch Dormancy" during this Duel by the effect of "Eldritch Goddess Ixnn":  You win the Duel."

 

Okay then, just dont play any eldrtich dormancy cards, get all 3 syncro monsters and your tuner and BAM you win the duel. The fact the syncros cant be destroyed only makes this so much easier. Eldritch Knowledge and Birthright make this almost childsplay in the right hand. Scrap-Iron scarecrow, Kuriboh, Waboku and so many other cards only make this a cakewalk. Also, if you get Eldritch knowledge first turn, you can get Ixnn right then and there and win the duel- Theres nothing stopping that.

 

Im afraid i cant find any positives. This archtype is just far too powerful to be redeemable in my eyes. Perhaps someone else can find a way.

Changed the archetype based on your criteria specified.  Most everything has received a nerf - including things I overlooked, like Eldritch Knowledge allowing Ixnn to be special summoned.  Do note that it's required to synchro summon Ixnn thrice before the wincon is met.  The archetype is meant to stall until you can do that three times.  Aside from her, there are little offensive actions, and the Extra Deck is notably constricted.  However, this allows for a lot of stall to go in the main deck.

 

Also, you're required to run three Eldritch Dormancy - an otherwise dead card in the hand.
