Activate this card by paying 1000 LP. Monsters that are in the Extra Deck, as well as monsters in the Deck, cannot activate their effects.

 

[spoiler=Design Notes]In case you didn't know... This is an addition to Skill Drain, Soul Drain, and Mind Drain. It stops effects which are even harder to come by currently as Qli is the only notable archetype this thing kind of hurts (at least I think so: I may need clarification on whether this stops some of the Qliphorts being tributed effect). As it stands now... It is just a specific and crappy floodgate like Mind Drain. To be honest, I made this out of flavor of making a Drain card that stops something the other Drains don't stop already and the thought of what could potentially happen in the future... Being maybe another Pendulum archetype that triggers stuff in Extra Deck.

Following the Drain archetype, this card has it's use useful in my opinion, it's effect has a limit of uses to prevent "Theinen the Great Sphinx" and "Shooting Quasar Dragon which is quite fearsome when summoned. I believe the use is limited.

Following the Drain archetype, this card has it's use useful in my opinion, it's effect has a limit of uses to prevent "Theinen the Great Sphinx" and "Shooting Quasar Dragon which is quite fearsome when summoned. I believe the use is limited.

What? No, this card only stops effects that resolve in the Deck and the Extra Deck. If Shooting Quasar Dragon leaves the field, Shooting Star Dragon will still be Summoned. This car doesn't negate the effects of monsters that are Summoned from the Extra Deck; it negates the effects of monsters that resolve WITHIN the Extra Deck.

 

For example, if someone managed to bring out Number C1000: Numeronious, and you managed to destroy it while activating this card, Number iC1000: Numeronius Numeronia would not be able to Summon itself with the effect because the effect resolves while this card is still in the Extra Deck.

 

I don't think this card will stop Qliphorts. After all, Pendulum Monsters that would be sent from the field to the Graveyard are instead being sent to the Extra Deck is a game mechanic. Tributing cards like Helix and Carrier would still trigger their effects before they  are sent to the Extra Deck because the effects come before the mechanic.

 

The last effect is pretty much dead; I don't remember any monsters that have their effects resolve when they are in the deck. I think this card would only be useful in stopping beatsticks like Number iC1000 that would be Summoned upon the destruction of their previous form.
