How Long?

• on average how long a duel can last in current Meta game? (obviously please excluded the FTK plays)

i know it kinda ridiculous but: among all known Meta OR moderate tier OTK play, how long the slowest of the average need to setup?

are time based cards (like Final Countdown) or deck (if existed) is still relevant?

Basically you gotta set up T1 or your opponent with the same goal is going to overrun you, an extreme example of this was PePe's infamous soft lock T1, then pend summon and otk you T3 if they went first. Most decks atm operate under this idea but it wont necessarily end that quickly (5 turns is a good average)

 

If we're talking about the how long a duel takes in minutes, it's still kind of the same as the past years, even if the number of total turns in a duel/match has decreased, the length of an actual turn has increased dramatically as you have more options to available to you and more "branches" to consider.

 

I don't think Final Countdown would be viable, even if you had 3 copies of available to you thanks to cards like Twin Twister Instant Fusion --> Norden, Reasoning, Brilliant Fusion, the Pendulum Mechanic giving you a lot of options in 1 turn chances its unlikely you'd keep up.
