It seems I've made yet another Digimon Archetype, but I think this one will go over better than the one that's deep in the abyss of old threads. I'm going to update (hopefully) daily with the lines of the DigiDestined first, then I will add other Digimon afterwards. If you can think of ways to make them better, please feel free to suggest them! If you have ideas for OTHER Digimon's effects please feel free to add those as well, I will credit you if I do not think of another effect for that Digimon. Anyways, I'll start with my favorite Digivolution line growing up; Agumon! Then I'll do the other lines in no particular order! Thanks in advanced for the C&C!

NOTE: I'm only doing Digivolutions that have made it into the anime/movies BY that DigiDestined, meaning you won't see Rosemon in with Palmon's Digivolution Line because Palmon didn't digivolve into Rosemon while Mimi had her, BUT I will include Lalamon's Digivolution Line since Lalamon digivolved into Rosemon while under Yoshi from Data Squad's control

 

[spoiler=Agumon's Digivolution Line]

When this card is added to your hand, you can reveal it to your opponent to add 1 "Mega Digimon - WarGreymon" from your Deck to your hand. If you activate this effect, you cannot Summon "Mega Digimon - WarGreymon" this turn.

 

If your monster Summons a monster that has a higher ATK than this monster, you can Tribute this monster and Special Summon 1 "Champion Digimon - Greymon" from your Hand or Deck. (This is a Quick Effect)

This monster cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by the effects of "Rookie Digimon - Agumon" and cannot be Summoned by other ways. If Summoned this way, you can target 1 monster your opponent controls; negate it's effect(s) and destroy it.

 

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by Tributing 1 "Champion Digimon - Greymon" after it has destroyed a monster by Battle and cannot be Summoned by other ways. When Summoned this way, you can add 1 "Rookie Digimon - Agumon" from your Graveyard to your Hand.

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) during the Battle Phase after "Champion Digimon - Greymon" declares an attack by Tributing that monster and cannot be Summoned by other ways. When Special Summoned this way, destroy all other monsters on the field. This monster cannot attack the turn it is Summoned.

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by sending 1 "Tai's Digivice" from your Hand to the Graveyard and Tributing 1 "Ultimate Digimon - MetalGreymon" on the field and cannot be Summoned by other ways. When this monster attacks, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step.

If you opponent Summons a monster with a higher ATK than this one while this monster is on the field, you can Tribute this monster to Special Summon 1 "Champion Digimon - Garurumon" from your Hand or Deck.

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by the effects of "Rookie Digimon - Gabumon" and cannot be Summoned by other ways. When Summoned this way, you can discard 1 random card from your opponent's hand. Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response.

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by Tributing 1 "Champion Digimon - Garurumon" during the End Phase it destroyed a monster by Battle and cannot be Summoned by other ways. When Summoned this way, you can shuffle 1 "Rookie Digimon - Gabumon" from your Graveyard to your Deck then draw 1 card.

 

When this card is added to your hand, you can reveal it to your opponent to add 1 "Mega Digimon - MetalGarurumon" from your Deck to your hand. If you activate this effect, you cannot Summon "Mega Digimon - MetalGarurumon" this turn.

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by sending one "Matt's Digivice" from your hand and Tributing 1 "Ultimate Digimon - WereGarurumon" on your field. When Summoned this way, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the End Phase of the next turn.

If you opponent Summons a monster with a higher ATK than this one while this monster is on the field, you can Tribute this monster to Special Summon 1 "Champion Digimon - Togemon" from your Hand or Deck.

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Can only be Special Summoned by the effects of "Rookie Digimon - Palmon" and cannot be Summoned by other ways. If "Black Garden is on the field when this monster is Summoned, your opponent cannot target any monsters you control for attacks, except this one. If this monster leaves the field while "Black Garden" is on the field, you can add 1 "Mimi's Digivice" or 1 "Ultimate Digimon - Lillymon" from your Deck to your Hand.

When this card is added to your hand, you can reveal it to your opponent to add 1 "Ultimate Digimon - Lillymon" from your Deck to your hand. If you activate this effect, you cannot Summon "Ultimate Digimon - Lillymon" this turn.

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by sending one "Mimi's Digivice" from your hand and Tributing 1 "Champion Digimon - Togemon" on your field while "Black Garden" is on the Field. When Summoned this way, you can add 1 Field Spell Card from your Deck to your Hand.

Target 1 "Rookie Digimon - Veemon" you control; send it to the Graveyard, also, after that, if it left the field by this effect; Special Summon 1 "Armor Digimon - Flamedramon" from your Extra Deck.

Target 1 "Rookie Digimon - Veemon" you control; send it to the Graveyard, also, after that, if it left the field by this effect; Special Summon 1 "Armor Digimon - Raidramon" from your Extra Deck.

Target 1 "Rookie Digimon - Veemon" you control; send it to the Graveyard, also, after that, if it left the field by this effect; Special Summon 1 "Armor Digimon - Magnamon" from your Extra Deck.

 

If your opponent Summons a monster with a higher ATK than this one while you control this monster, you can Tribute this monster to Special Summon 1 "Champion Digimon - ExVeemon" from your Hand or Deck.

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by the effects of "Rookie Digimon - Veemon" and cannot be Summoned by other ways. When Summoned this way, you can add 1 "DigiEgg" Spell Card from your Deck to your Hand.

Must be Special Summoned with "DigiEgg of Courage" and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. When this monster is Special Summoned; add 1 "Rookie Digimon - Veemon" from your Graveyard to your Hand and if you do; discard 1 random card from your opponent's hand.

Must be Special Summoned with "DigiEgg of Miracles" and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. When this card is Special Summoned; Target 1 monster and 1 Spell/Trap Card on the field; destroy them.

Must be Special Summoned with "DigiEgg of Friendship" and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. When this card is Special Summoned; Target 1 monster in your opponent's Graveyard and Special Summon it in Defense Position. That monster's effect(s) are negated and that monster cannot be used for Tribute, Synchro Summoning, Xyz Summoning or Fusion Summoning.

Target 1 "Rookie Digimon - Hawkmon" you control; send it to the Graveyard, also, after that, if it left the field by this effect; Special Summon 1 "Armor Digimon - Halsemon" from your Extra Deck.

Target 1 "Rookie Digimon - Hawkmon" you control; send it to the Graveyard, also, after that, if it left the field by this effect; Special Summon 1 "Armor Digimon - Shurimon" from your Extra Deck.

 

If your opponent Summons a monster with a higher ATK than this one while you control this monster, you can Tribute this monster to Special Summon 1 "Champion Digimon - Aquilamon" from your Hand or Deck.

 

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by the effects of "Rookie Digimon - Hawkmon" and cannot be Summoned by other ways. While this monster on the field, your opponent cannot attack any monsters other than this one. When this monster is destroyed by battle or card effect, you can add 1 "Rookie Digimon - Hawkmon" from your Graveyard to your hand.

Must be Special Summoned with "DigiEgg of Sincerity" and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. When this monster is Special Summoned; you can Set 1 Spell/Trap Card from your Deck on the field.

 

Must be Special Summoned with "DigiEgg of Love" and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. When this monster is Special Summoned; add 1 "Rookie Digimon - Hawkmon" from your Graveyard to your Hand and if you do; Banish 1 card from your opponent's Graveyard.

When this card is added to your hand, you can reveal it to your opponent to add 1 "Mega Digimon - Magnadramon" from your Deck to your hand. If you activate this effect, you cannot Summon "Mega Digimon - Magnadramon" this turn.

 

If you opponent Summons a monster with a higher ATK than this one while this monster is on the field, you can Tribute this monster to Special Summon 1 "Champion Digimon - Gatomon" from your Hand or Deck.

 

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by the effects of "Rookie Digimon - Salamon" and cannot be Summoned by other ways. When Summoned this way, you can add 1 "Kari's Digivice" from your Deck to Your Hand.

 

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by Tributing 1 "Champion Digimon - Gatomon" during the End Phase of the turn it attacked and Destroyed a monster by Battle. You can discard 1 monster from your Hand to add 1 "Mega Digimon - Magnadramon" from your Deck to your Hand.

 

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by sending one "Kari's Digivice" from your hand and Tributing 1 "Ultimate Digimon - Angewomon" on your field. When Summoned, you can Target up to 2 Spell/Trap cards and 1 monster on the field; destroy them and if they are destroyed this way, Banish them.

Target 1 "Champion Digimon - Gatomon" you control; send it to the Graveyard, also, after that, if it left the field by this effect; Special Summon 1 "Armor Digimon - Nefertimon" from your Extra Deck.

Must be Special Summoned with "DigiEgg of Courage" and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. When this monster is Special Summoned; add 1 "Rookie Digimon - Salamon" from your Graveyard to your Hand and if you do; Banish 1 random card from your opponent's hand.

If you opponent Summons a monster with a higher ATK than this one while this monster is on the field, you can Tribute this monster to Special Summon 1 "Champion Digimon - Stingmon" from your Hand or Deck.

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by the effects of "Rookie Digimon - Wormmon" and cannot be Summoned by other ways. When Summoned this way, you can add 1 "DNA Digivolution" from your Deck to your Hand.

This card can only be used to Fusion Summon "DNA Digimon". You can shuffle this card from your Graveyard to your Deck and add 1 "Rookie Digimon" from your Deck to your hand. You cannot use this effect the turn this card is sent to the Graveyard.

 

"Mega Digimon - WarGreymon" + "Mega Digimon - MetalGarurumon"
This monster can only be Fusion Summoned with the above materials using "DNA Digivolution" and cannot be Summoned by other ways. When this monster is destroyed by battle or card effect, you can add 1 "Rookie Digimon - Agumon" and 1 "Rookie Digimon - Gabumon" from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand.

 

"Champion Digimon - Stingmon" + "Champion Digimon - ExVeemon"
This monster can only be Fusion Summoned with the above materials using "DNA Digivolution" and cannot be Summoned by other ways. As long as this monster is on the field, add 1 DigiCore Counter each time a monster is Summoned. If this monster would be destroyed, you can remove 1 Counter instead.

 

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Can only be Special Summoned by Tributing 1 "DNA Digimon - Paildramon" with 2 or more (max 5) DigiCore Counters. When Summoned this way, place 3 DigiCore Counters on this monster. When this monster destroys a monster by battle, add 1 DigiCore Counter to this monster.

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Can only be Special Summoned by Tributing 1 "DNA Digimon - Imperialdramon Dragon Mode" with 2 or more (max 5) DigiCore Counters. When Summoned this way, place 2 DigiCore Counters on this monster. If your opponent Summons a monster with a Level/Rank lower than this one, add 1 DigiCore Counter to this monster for each Level/Rank lower than this one.

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Can only be Special Summoned by Tributing 1 "DNA Digimon - Imperialdramon Paladin Mode" with 2 or more (max 5) DigiCore Counters. When Summoned this way, place 1 DigiCore Counter on this monster. As long as this monster is on the field, monsters with a Level/Rank the same or higher than this monster cannot declare an attack or activate their effects, except this monster.

"Champion Digimon - Aquilamon" + "Champion Digimon - Gatomon"
This monster can only be Fusion Summoned with the above materials using "DNA Digivolution" and cannot be Summoned by other ways. When Summoned this way, this monster can attack monsters up to twice per Battle Phase but cannot attack directly.

[spoiler=Seven Great Demon Lords]

When this monster destroys a monster by battle, you can add 1 "Digimon" monster from your Deck to your Hand.

When this monster destroys a monster by battle, gain Life Points equal to half of the destroyed monster's original ATK.

This monster cannot be destroyed by battle. If this facedown monster is attacked, you can return the attacking monster to your opponent's hand.

When this monster is Summoned, you can destroy all Defense Position monsters. This monster cannot attack the turn you activate this effect.

If this monster is the only face up monster on your side of the field, your opponent cannot attack.

Once per turn, you can target 1 monster your opponent controls; take control of that monster. When this monster leaves the field, any monsters targeted by this effect are destroyed and sent to the Graveyard.

Once per turn, you can target 1 monster on the field; this monster gains ATK equal to the ATK of the targeted monster until your opponent's End Phase.

Okay, first of all, The Rookie. Just add "Once per turn, during either players turn". I'd recommend adding that to front.

 

Now, Greymon (champion) and the one after it. Instead of putting "By tributing "Champion Digimon - Greymon" after it has destroyed a monster by battle blahblahblah", instead, on Greymon itself, put an effect like so: "During the end of the Battle Phase, if this card destroyed a monster by battle, you can tribute this card: Special Summon 1 "Ultimate Digimon - MetalGreymon" from your hand" and the effect on MetalGreymon should be "Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Can only be Special Summoned by the effect of "Champion Digimon - Greymon". This goes for all monsters.

 

Now that I got that out of the way, onto Tai's Device. The problem with this is that it stays... so you can get an instant Mega Digimon. I can only find 2 ways to fix this:

• "If this card is added to your hand by a card effect; you can discard this card: Add 1 "Mega Digimon - WarGreymon" from your deck to your hand"
• "If this card is added to your hand by a card effect; you can reveal this card: Add 1 "Champion Digimon - Greymon" or "Ultimate Digimon - MetalGreymon"

So that is my problem with Tai's device, also, an activation effect could be nice like "Target 1 Greymon monster you control: Halve its ATK; it can attack your opponent directly this turn" or something like (most preferably not that, that is a little to good, lol, it was just for example). It also doesn't have any OPT clause, so summon WarGreymon, magical stone excavation, add it, get another WarGreymon... yeah... So that is all I really have to say.

Too tired to go in depth with the effect analysis, but doesn't Omnimon seem too pointless to summon for what it's worth? Considering the amount of effort needed to summon it, 3.5k attack with no solid effects wouldn't make anyone want to summon it by getting rid of both Megas. 

Just a thought. 

Otherwise, I'm interested in seeing this go places.

What would you recommend for Omnimon?

 

Palmon's line added, not sure what exactly happened in GIMP when I edited Lillymon's and Palmon's pictures to add the backgrounds, probably just a smidge off when resizing

Since Omegamon is a fusion of WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon, and their effects are preventing effects from being activated when attacking/summoned (respectively), I suggest Omegamon to have the effect: While this card is on your side of the field, your opponent cannot activate cards or Effects. If that is too op for your tastes, maybe you can try: "While this card is on your side of the field, your opponent cannot activate cards or Effects, except during the Standby Phase" or something similar.

 

Will you add Rosemon? I know it's not in the original Animation, but that is Mimi's Mega digimon. 

Also, I recommend making the changes that SpasmicUnitato recommended, as most of the cards are still pretty underpowered imo

Really? I'm pretty sure it happened in Tri., unless you don't want to count that as part of the continuity, which is fine. Otherwise, this isn't the place to discuss this (lol) 

 

I do find the use of the Black Garden interesting though, so maybe a Rosemon card can better use tokens that come with it.

I only put Black Garden in til I make my field spells, then I will be changing it. And I like the idea of Rosemon with counters, maybe after so many counters, make it to where you can tribute it with the counters to summon Burst Mode, and could do the same with Paildramon, Imperialdramon, Dragon Mode and Paladin Mode too
