Guest BGMCANN0N
Corrosive Tide [Field Spell] All monsters lose 500 DEF. If a monster attacks a Defense Position monster, the controller of the attacking monster inflicts piercing battle damage to their opponent. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Edit: So I did some thinking, and decided to soften the design a bit... Made it from doubled piercing battle damage to just regular piercing battle damage. Additiionally, I increased the decrease of DEF by 200, for more incentive for the offensive side. To say the least we don't have Field Spell or a generic Continuous Spell or Trap that offers piercing battle damage so it still gives players something new to work with. Yuuji Kazami
Seems actually like something really good for Blue Eyes. Since Chaos MAX already does doubled piercing, simply used in correspondence with this card gives it a x4 damage boost. I'm not certain if this causes bad design though, or if this would be overpowered in the case I just mentioned. A simple 1000 damage can jump to a staggering 4000 in one go if Chaos MAX lands the hit. Other than that, it'll be a fun card to play if you're playing all out aggressive Decks. Skill Drain + Qlis could also benefit off this in my opinion.
Guest BGMCANN0N
If enough people suggest that the doubled piercing part is a bad idea... I'll probably just convert it to just piercing battle damage with no multiplier. But, yeah the idea is to charge out defensive or even stally playing styles. It sort of acts like a floodgate/ OTK enabler in that regard which makes me iffy on the design altogether. I'll just await more opinions or a change of mind until then.
