After becoming AFK in YCM for a while, I wanted to make up for it, and what better way to do it than to make an Archetype! Welcome to Oakburn. The Oakburn Archetype is a group of cards that work around changing the monster Types to either Plant (Oak) or Pyro (burn). You can use them to Summon level 6 and 8 Oakburn monsters.

The monsters are split into 3 groups. There are the Swarming monsters, that swarm the field, useful for Summoning the level 6 and 8 monsters. There are also the Protection monsters, which helps keep field control, which can help the Swarming and other Oakburn monsters stay on the field longer. Then there are the SS-Only monsters, which require a certain amount of Oakburn or Pyro or Plant-Type monsters on the field to Summon, the beatsticks of the Archetype. There is also an Xyz monster that is technically part of the Swarming group. The Archetype also has 2 Spell cards to make this happen.

Oakburn Zebra

Once per turn, if you control a Plant or Pyro-Type monster, you can Special Summon this card from your hand.

 

Oakburn Buffalo

EARTH Lv. 4

Beast / Effect

1000 / 1700

You can return 1 "Oakburn" monster you control to your hand to Special Summon this card from your hand. You can only use the effect of "Oakburn Buffalo" once per turn.

Oakburn Chieftan

All "Oakburn" monsters you control are unaffected by your opponent's monster effects. Once per turn, when an "Oakburn" monster(s) would be targeted or destroyed by a monster activated effect: You can return 1 "Oakburn" monster you control to the hand; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it.

 

Oakburn Boar

EARTH Lv. 2

Beast / Effect

1300 / 1200

Once per turn, this card cannot be destroyed by battle. Once per turn, if an "Oakburn" monster you control would be destroyed by battle or by card effect, you can activate this effect: That monster is not destroyed, then your opponent gains 600 LP.

 

Oakburn Ostrich

EARTH Lv. 2

Winged Beast / Effect

The Special Summon of "Oakburn" monsters you control cannot be negated. Once per turn, during either player's Battle Phase: You can pay 600 LP; "Oakburn" monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects, also, your opponent cannot activate Spell/Trap cards, until the end of the Battle Phase.

 

Oakburn Scorpion

All "Oakburn" monsters you control cannot be targeted by an opponent's card effects. Once per turn, when a Spell/Trap card is activated: You can pay 300 LP; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it, then your opponent gains 300 LP (this is a Quick Effect).

Oakburn Gorilla

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by controlling 3 or more "Oakburn" monsters, and cannot be Summoned by any other way. Once per turn, you can add 1 "Oakburn Home" card from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. Once per turn, you can target 1 "Oakburn" monster on the field: This turn, it cannot be destroyed by card effects.

 

Oakburn Crocodile

EARTH Lv. 6

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by controlling 1 or more Pyro-Type "Oakburn" monster, and cannot be Summoned by any other way. All "Oakburn" monsters you control gain 500 ATK, except this card. Once per turn, you can target 1 Plant or Pyro-Type monster you control: This turn, it is unaffected by your opponent's card effects.

 

Oakburn Rhino

EARTH Lv. 6

Beast / Effect

2100 / 2500

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by controlling 2 or more Plant-Type monsters, and cannot be Summoned by any other way. All "Oakburn" monsters you control are unaffected by your opponent's card effects during the Battle Phase. Once per turn, you can target 1 monster on the field: That monster's Type becomes either Plant or Pyro-Type (your choice).

 

Oakburn Lion

EARTH Lv. 8

Beast / Effect

3000 / 0

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by controlling 3 or more Pyro-Type "Oakburn" monsters, and cannot be Summoned by any other way. Once per turn, you can target 1 "Oakburn" monster on the field, except "Oakburn Lion": Until your next Standby Phase, that monster is unaffected by your opponent's card effects.

 

Oakburn Elephant

EARTH Lv. 8

Beast / Effect

0 / 4000

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by controlling 3 or more Plant-Type "Oakburn" monsters, and cannot be Summoned by any other way. Once per turn, you can target 1 "Oakburn" monster on the field, except "Oakburn Elephant": Until your next Standby Phase, that monster is unaffected by your opponent's card effects.
