UPDATES - MAY 2008

 

 

After recent events and discussions, Myself and Browarod have come to an agreement over Rule changes.

 

 

Change 1

 

Attachments + Thumbnails + Links ARE NOW ALLOWED.

 

If you see someone post using thee above, and tell them to use IMG tags, i will delete your post, if a member wants to use any of thee above, they can.

 

 

Change 2

 

This update goes for all of Custom Cards.

 

Credits are now volutary. All that is required is a Disclaimer of some sort, and your thread will now be deemed fine. If you do own the image, please state so, so we know if anyone hasnt added a disclaimer, they should be told to add one.

 

The only advantage to having credits, is that if a member of whos artwork you have used, comes on to the site to question you about it, you can safely say you credited them. And all should be well, as afterall, most artists just want credit.

 

 

Extra Note

 

If you see a thread in the wrong section / has inappropriate cards, please use the report button, its highly annoying seeing people complaining in the thread and not actually doing anything about it.

With New Moderation Comes a Rules Upgrade!

 

These are the rules for the Realistic Card Section, if you break any of the rules then you can expect us to notify you.

 

 

 

Rule 1 - Try to keep the Number of Threads you make to a Minimum by placing as many of your cards in one thread as possible, especially if they are part of the same set.

 

Rule 2 - Please put your cards in the correct sections, read each sections description before posting. Any cards in this section which belong somewhere else, will be moved by myself, Browarod or Jerry, and maybe even Kaze and Tkill.

 

Rule 3 - Do not post your cards in other Peoples threads without that thread makers permission. The only exception to this is if you need to show someone something in order to help or prove a point to someone.

 

Rule 4 - All general Site Rules apply here.

 

Rule 5 - No double Posts allowed, use the Edit button or your posts will be deleted.

 

Rule 6 - If you want your own thread either Moved / Locked or deleted then please say so in the thread Title.

 

Rule 7 - No Attachments or Thumbnails!

 

You must post your cards using IMG tags, if not your thread will be instantly LOCKED, you will also be notified of a thread which helps you learn to use IMG tags.

 

This will stop people not understanding IMG tags

This will stop comments like 'use IMG tags' etc.

This will allow better viewing and rating for members.

If you cannot be bothered with that though then simply;

 

go to tinypic.com or imageshack.us, upload your card and copy and paste the IMG code it gives you.

 

 

Rule 8 - Seriously Bad OCG cards!

 

Are you tired of seeing cards in this section with awful OCG and general writing??

 

Yes??

 

Good, cos i am putting a stop to it, the very bad ones i mean.

 

Too long have we had to see cards with effect text like;

 

'this monster can use arrows to shoot the opponent and deal 800 damage'

 

'this card losses 500 attack and 1000 defencee for every card in the grave. remove from grave to out of play zone two cards from hand per your turn'

 

 

Basically, any cards with words like 'grave' or seriously wrong wrong wrong OCG will be moved straight away to the 'Other Cards Section'

 

as its clearly not realistic...

 

Do not worry though, its very bad cards that will be moved only, so if your not brilliant at OCG or grammar its ok, but if you use seriously wrong terms or just complete nonsense it will be moved.

 

Also as an extra, if too many cards in a thread contain various OCG / Grammar errors they maybe moved, they WILL be moved if they also contain a few unrealistic cards.

 

 

Rule 9 - IMAGE CREDITS

 

UPDATE: February 15th 2008

i. As of February 15th 2008' date=' the Yugioh Card Maker Forum requires you to post a disclaimer/cite-your-artwork. Due to recent events regarding the illegal use of artwork, we will be slowly adapting the forum to new rules until we are within the law, starting with this rule.

 

If the card artwork you’re using originated from a source other than yourself, we ask you add a disclaimer to your main post of the thread. It can be:

 

FORMAL:

[i do not own the artwork used for my cards. I only use them as a means of increasing the overall quality and effect of my work. I do not claim ownership of them.']

 

Or INFORMAL:

I don’t own these cards pics, this guy does: *insert link to DA Account*

 

The disclaimer will differ from member to member, though it is recommended you simply “copy & paste” the formal disclaimer.

 

 

ii. I also ask you now AT LEAST post the name of the owner of the art. If the art is from DA, most likely it will be in the pic’s title when you save it. You can either post the name with a link to their DA account in your main post, OR, add a © to the card under the Edition Section like so:

No matter which you choose, you should also provide a link to the owner’s account. It shows respect to the art’s owner. If you want to go as far as to ask the artist’s permission, that would be greatly appreciated as so much conflict can be averted this way. I asked the artist’s permission for the above card, and I’m still alive.

 

 

iii. If the art’s owner visits the forum and requests that you remove the card with their art, please do so. They have the final say on what happens to their own creations. Along with the DA Members, I will be asking specific members help enforce this rule. If they ask you to abide by the rules and post a disclaimer/cite your work/add a link to the gallery/remove your card, please do. In extreme cases, if I feel your constant ignorance of the rules and/or flaming of the members warning you unnecessary, you will be banned.

Rule 10 - Credit Enforcement!

 

This rule was actually sort of instated but not enforced due to 'God Kaze', the rule creator not been active etc.

 

You will now have to credit to the best, of your ability. To show you what i mean...

 

- If you post on your thread, NO Artist credits, No Disclaimer and basically nothing regarding the artists, AT ALL, your cards will be removed and thread LOCKED!

 

- If you simply post on your thread;

 

'From Google' or 'From Photobucket', your cards will be removed until you can provide Links to the artwork, if however the artwork you used is old and you have since forgot the original artists / links, you MUST state so or your cards will be removed. Also a Valid reason why you don’t know the artists must be on your thread or they will be removed.

 

And, if you continue to ignore credit rules, in a row, you will be reported and hopefully, you will be banned ^_^

 

Any threads created before this rule can have some credits missing / no credits.

 

These rules go for any cards posted after the new rules are officially up.

 

These rules should soothe the image credit situation and also stop comments like 'credit the artists' etc.etc

 

If you own the image you must say so on your thread.

 

 

Extra Notes

 

Rules 7, 8 and 10 will be for threads after this Rule threads creation. Any cards which are slightly old - old old, will not be effected.
