Svenny
Ancient Crystal Beast Cuprite TyrannoFire / Level 8 / Dinosaur / Effect This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Deck or Graveyard. You can Special Summon this card (from your hand or face-up from your Spell & Trap Card Zone) by sending 2 other "Crystal Beast" cards you control to the Graveyard. You can only use the following effects of "Ancient Crystal Beast Cuprite Tyranno" once per turn.• Send 1 "Crystal Beast" card from your Spell & Trap Card Zone to the Graveyard: Destroy 1 Spell/Trap Card your opponent controls.• When this card destroys a monster by battle: You can place 1 "Crystal Beast" monster from your Deck face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card.• If this face-up card is destroyed while in a Monster Card Zone: You can target up to 2 "Crystal Beast" monsters, except "Ancient Crystal Beast Cuprite Tyranno", in your Graveyard; place them face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as Continuous Spell cards. ATK 2800 / DEF 1700 I felt the "Crystal Beast" archetype needed some raw power and so I invented the "Ancient" sub-archetype. This guy is only an example (have made 4 others so far).Stating the obvious I guess, but anyways; what makes it a good card(?) is:- High ATK.- Versatile summoning conditions (but also quite limited I guess).- Removes your opponents Spell/Trap Cards.- Possibly gives you a new "Crystal Beast" card in your S/T Zone every turn.- Replenishes your "Crystal Beast" stock when it's destroyed. I'm kind of new to the forum but I appreciate all CnC and would like to hear your thoughts.
dustdevil9
As far as Crystal Beast go this definitely would be pushing them in the right direction. With this they might be able to start keeping up with the dueling world; I'd love to see what else you have. But on to CnC:Getting this into your S/T Zone requires you to use other CBs, so you're still stuck with Pegasus Turbo. His 3 effects are OK, but his first effect is a weaker version of Rainbow Ruins 3Rd effect. Having to send 2 Crystal Beast cards you control to Summon seems a bit steep but only sending 1 wouldn't be enough. It is searchable off of the generic Dinosaur search spell. And it's a trade in target. It's got a lot going for it but I doubt it would be more thanon-tuner a 1-2 in the deck, but having more Crystal Beast names makes it easier to Rainbow Dragon. I'm not saying Tyranno is stronger only not as conditional.- You can send both monsters and Crystal Beasts in the S/T Zone for the SS (if that wasn't clear). E.g. I deem sending a Pegasus and the card Pegasus placed in the S/T Zone as a fair price for the summon. But I'm not the most experienced player so you might be right.- If the search spell you're talking about is Fossil Dig it can only search for lvl 6 or lower monsters. Second, the card pushes Pegasus Turbo which is a problem because without opening Pegasus you simply lose.Thirdly, I suppose S/T destruction proves to be easier to pull off considering the conditionsFourthly, the problem in his summoning conditions is that it needs you to supply it consistently with Crystal Beast buthe the only way to reliably do that is Pegasus which means no Pegasus no point?Lastly, I forgot Fossil Dig was Level 6 or lower. Moving on, I'll probably make a post in the Multiples section in a near future and post a link here. Thanks for your feedback! One more thing btw. As Crystal Beasts in the S/T Zone lose all their monster effects and basically become blank Spell Cards, will the effect to summon Tyranno from the S/T Zone disappear or is there some way to go around that? They suffer a lot, would have been kewl to see Pendulum refrains of them, but I can only dream.
