Crystal Fusion


Normal Spell


 

(This card is always treated as a "Crystal Beast" card.)

Fusion Summon 1 "Crystal Beast" Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck using monsters from your side of the field or face-up "Crystal Beast" cards in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as Fusion Materials, cards in your Spell & Trap Card Zone are treated as monsters for this Fusion Summon. If this card is in your Graveyard: You can send 1 face-up "Crystal Beast" card from your Spell & Trap Card Zone to the Graveyard; add this card to your hand. You can only activate 1 "Crystal Fusion" per turn.

 

Of course a fusion spell's power level always depends on what cards it can actually summon but if we ignore that for the moment and just look at the card itself:

- As most archetype bound fusion spells it has a unique way of summoning which gives it some sort of flexibility, in this case it trades the effect of using cards in the hand for using Crystal Beasts in your S/T Zone, which is quite easy to fill up with the specific cards of your choice and thus also makes fusion summons using 5+ materials relatively simple.

- Also, as most archetype fusion spells it does something in the grave; I choose a recycling effect for the sole purpose that I'm a fan of fusion summoning but I'm open for other suggestions.

There are more merits with the card if I take some other of my original cards in account but, as I said earlier, that's not what this post is after.

Btw, is the card actually capable of using cards in the S/T Zone as fusion material as it is written now or is it braking some basic rules? If so, how would you rephrase it?
