schyshter Posted April 16, 2008 Report Share Posted April 16, 2008 got bored wit the meta, so i made another prototype deck, just for fun. ratings, comments, suggestions; as always, all welcome. Deck Size: 40 Monsters: 183x Volcanic Counter3x Volcanic Rocket3x Volcanic Shell3x Volcanic Scattershot2x Lava Golem2x Grinder Golem1x Spirit Reaper1x Marshmellon Spells: 152x Trade In2x Blaze Accelerator2x Hand Destruction2x Creature Swap2x Burial from a Different Dimension1x Card Destruction1x Mystical Space Typhoon1x Heavy Storm1x Brain Control1x Foolish Burial Traps: 73x Dimension Wall2x Dark Bribe2x Solemn Judgment the idea is to get my V COUNTERS in my graveyard as fast as possible. FOOLISH BURIAL, CARD DESTRUCTION, HAND DESTRUCTION, and BLAZE ACCELERATOR helps with that. once the V COUNTERS are in place (along with 3 other FIRE monsters) i just need to receive 2700 damage FTW. SPIRIT REAPER and MARSHMELLON help to keep my LP above 3500 until i can get my COUNTERS into the graveyard. if my opponent tries to ruin the combo my dealing only minimal damage (my V COUNTERS would trigger), DIMENSION WALL sorts him out. if he stalls until he can get rid of my COUNTERS with something like KYCOO, i bring out the big guns... GRINDER GOLEM is the perfect partner for V COUNTER. the tokens summoned by G GOLEM's effect creates an opening for a OTK. if i attack with a token and take 3000 damage, the effect of the V COUNTERS in my graveyard would then trigger and deal 9000 damage to my opponent in turn! thats about it: GRINDER GOLEM + 3x VOLCANIC COUNTER FTW everything else is just support/backup. like i said, its a prototype. changes are most likely to be made as it is still being tested. Posted April 17, 2008 Report Share Posted April 17, 2008 the thing is after the first duel people just would not attack with high atk monsters and slowly beat u down. also correct me if im wrong but i think you couldnt activate three at the same time, for timing reasons. schyshter Posted April 18, 2008 Author Report Share Posted April 18, 2008 the thing is after the first duel people just would not attack with high atk monsters and slowly beat u down. that's just the thing; i don't need to wait for them to attack me. if they try to use that strategy' date=' i just keep them at bay with my DIMENSION WALLS until i can summon L GOLEM and attack it with my SPIRIT REAPER or MARSHMELLON. if they try to avoid that by keeping only 1 monster on the field (which would be really n00bish), BLAZE ACCELERATOR would take care of that monster, and then i just summon G GOLEM and attack. remember, i always got my CREATURE SWAPS and BRAIN CONTROL too, so i summon a GOLEM and immediately just take it back! there's no escape!also correct me if im wrong but i think you couldnt activate three at the same time' date=' for timing reasons.[/quote'] that's what i thought about V COUNTER too. but you don't have a choice when u receive damage; V COUNTER will trigger and remove itself from play whether i like it or not. that's its weakness, but also its best feature. whenever i receive damage, all the V COUNTERS in my graveyard would be triggered, chaining their effects automatically. i just sit back and grin! you may want to mix this with royal oppression if it does work because then it will annoy your opponent more' date=' and make it harder to launch an attack[/quote'] ROYAL OPPRESSION wouldn't work. not for this deck. my GOLEMS need to be Special Summoned for me to complete the combo. especially if my opponent knows about my V COUNTERS and, like u said, only attack with low ATK monsters. i need my GOLEMS. and to keep my opponent's from SS, iv'e got my SOLEMN JUDGMENTS.
