Hello! This is my Great Swordsmen set. I want people to rate them give ideas for future cards etc.

GreatSwordsmanCommanderLaserSword.jpgWhen you summon this card you can get all cards in your deck that include Great Swordsman in their name and add them to your hand. As long as this card is on the field there is no card limit in the hand. This effect affects both players. As long as this card is on the field all monsters thet include Great Swordsman in their name gain 1000 attack points (not including this card). All monsters on the field which are not type Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Warrior are automatically destroyed when this card is summoned. As long as this card is on the field, no monster that is not Beast, Warrior-Beast, or Warrior can be summoned to the field

-1 monster with Great Swordsman in it's name, summon a warrior monster with 1000 attack or less from your deck to your field.

-Two monsters with Great Swordsman in their name, decrease the attack and defense of a monster on the field by 2000.

-Three monsters with Great Swordsman in their name, add a magic/trap card to your hand but you have to show it to your opponent.

-4 monsters with Great Swordsman in it's name, destroy a magic/trap card on the field.

-5 monsters with Great Swordsman in their name, destroy a monster on the field.

NewDeathnos111.jpgWhile this card is on the field one of the following effects will be activated when:

- 1 monster in your field is destroyed and sent to the cemetery. You gain 500 LP.

-1 monster in your opponent's field gets destroyed and sent to the cemetery. This monster gains 500 attack and defense.

When this monster is destroyed and sent to the cemetery you can sacrifice a Darkness monster on your field with an attack of 1000 or more to summon this card back to your field. This card cannot be removed from play. Every turn this card can sacrifice a monster on your field to decrease your opponent's LP by 500. This card can attack the monsters on your field and on your opponent's field.

I like it. But it does have some possible flaws.

 

Thunder Warrior: most people don't like cards with two attributes, personally, i don't care. But meh. 3000 points max increase is a lot, but it is a two tribute with 2000 attack and defence, since its unaffected by its own effect, it seems balanced. To me, anyway.

 

Twin Sword: i think allowing it to attack twice without an equip is going a bit overboard...

 

Swords: The Field lets you get two cards a turn for no cost? A bit overpowered.

 

Golden Shaman: Ok... when you summon it you could simply summon back the monsters you sacrificed. You can summon monsters without tribute and your opponents cost one more? and of course warriors gaining 600 attack but losing 200 defense. That might be pushing it a bit.

 

Command Laser Sword: i think this card is JUST ok. If your opponent doesn't use those monster types... but then again they can set other monsters, so, like 'the last warrior from another planet'. Its good.

 

Great Swordsman: With its effect you could really destroy a monster a turn... But its good.

 

Double Knifer: "But then they have to be destroyed". When? during the end phase?

 

This is just my opinion, and since i'm a newb you should probably wait for a more experienced person :).

 

As for some ideas... Well, this deck seems to be based on Equips, increased attack, and multiple attacks. So... perhaps a card that allows all 'great swordsman' on the field to attack twice? Of course, the cost would have to be big...

 

Some traps would be nice, perhaps a trap that prevents 'great swordsman' from being destroyed in battle for a turn, and any damage you take is gained instead.

 

A Great Swordsman that acts like Ha Des? when 'Great Swordsman" monsters destroy opposing monsters, their effect is negated?

 

There are OCG errors, but i'm no expert, so i can't help you there. Heck, most of the grammar in this post is wrong. You probably don't care too much about that anyway.

 

Anyway, good luck with them. 7.5/10

Yes I meant end phase I'll change it.

You're right but it's defense sucks so any card that can change him to defense position beats it.

I meant to put instead of drawing so it's not overpowered.

Wolf: summon wolf monsters from where? hand? deck? graveyard? Removed?

Some or all of the above?

 

Finding Sword: can you sacrifice a monster from your opponents monster as well?

Great Swordsman: I meant master of Swords, silly me :)

 

Twin Swords: You're right but it's defense sucks so any card that can change him to defense position beats it.

True but you could use an equip such as mage power and united we stand etc. to not only let it attack 4 (or more with further equips) times, but defend well as a bonus. Although, thinking about it, a 'flaw' is that with one card effect, that monster with a bunch of good equips is history. So i guess its ok :).

 

aside from that, the rest are noted and WOOHOO
