"Elemental HERO" Fusion Monster Cards - http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Elemental_HERO

"Elemental HERO" decks mainly focus on swarming the field with Fusion Monsters, using cards like "Polymerization" and "Miracle Fusion". For "Elemental HERO" Fusion Monsters with specified names, "King of the Swamp" and other Fusion Substitute Monsters are very useful. They also have access to Rank 4 Xyz Monsters due to cards like "Elemental HERO Bubbleman" and "A Hero Lives". "Instant Fusion" can also be used to summon "Elder Entity Norden and a level 4 WATER monster, then Xyz Summoning "Bahamut Shark" and using it's effect to summon "Toadally Awesome". Lastly, they can be used as a bridge to the "Masked HEROes".

As with the release of the "Omni HEROs" (Attribute-specifc Fusion Monsters), as well as the 2 Extra Deck "Vision HEROs ("Vision Hero Adoration and "Vision HERO Trinity"), all "Elemental HEROs" can be fused together with each other, as well as other "HEROs". The "Omni HEROs" basically allow the "Elemental HEROs" to exist in any deck focused on an archetype of monsters with the same Attribute, and each Attribute allows these "Elemental HEROs" access to Attribute-specific support cards, such as "Salvage".

Perhaps the best part of an "Elemental HERO" deck is the search/recovery power. Cards like "Salvage", "Shadow Mist", "Blazeman", "Legacy of a HERO", "Fusion Recovery", "Elemental HERO The Shining", "E - Emergency Call" and "Reinforcement of the Army can be used to go into many pluses.

"Elemental HEROes" somewhat lack protection, as they are mostly offensive. "Safe-Zone" is useful here, and can cause an easy OTK by comboeing it with "Vision HERO Trinity".

There is a great combo using Mask Change, Elemental HERO Absolute Zero, and Masked HERO Acid. First fuse any HERO monster and a Water Attribute monster with Polymerization, or any card that can fuse monsters, to get Elemental HERO Absolute Zero. Use Mask Change to send Elemental HERO Absolute Zero back to the Graveyard and summon Masked HERO Acid, remember that when Elemental HERO Absolute Zero is removed from the field, it destroys all of your opponent's monsters, and Masked HERO Acid's effect says that when it is summoned to the field, all of your opponent's Spells/Traps are destroyed, effectively clearing your opponent's field. This combo works perfectly because Masked HERO Acid only needs a Water Attribute monster like Elemental HERO Absolute Zero and a Change card to be Summoned.

Lastly, due to their high recovery and "Elemental HERO Honest Neos", "Elemental HEROes" won't be stopped by disabling Special Summons as their non-Fusion Monsters can stand on their own until Special Summoning is allowed again.

"Masked HERO" Fusion Monster Cards - http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Masked_HERO

Rather than Fusion Summoning like most Fusion Monsters do, "Masked HERO" monsters use cards like "Mask Change" to be Special Summoned from the Extra Deck. In the manga, Chazz Princeton was amazed seeing how "Masked HERO" monsters could use the same effect of "Fusion" using one single material rather than 2 or more.

This archetype favors a fairly straight-forward beatdown strategy. Their "transforming" cards being Quick-Play Spell Cards allows them to be transformed at any time, including during the Battle Phase, for multiple attacks, or in response to an opponent's effect or attack.

While "Masked HERO" is an independent archetype in the manga, in the TCG/OCG they were revamped to be a general "HERO" support, making them splashable options for any "HERO" Deck (though they essentially work well only with "Elemental HERO" monsters, due to their varied Attributes). "Mask Change II" takes this even further by allowing "Masked HERO" monsters to be splashable in any Deck, as long as one can handle the increased cost and Extra Deck real estate.

An efficient build can consist of running a few "Elemental HERO" monsters that help you conduct Fusion Summons (Like "Elemental HERO Blazeman" and "Elemental Hero Woodsman") to Fusion Summon "Elemental HERO Absolute Zero" ("King of the Swamp" help this even further) which has 2 advantages: it can be Fusion Summoned using even "Masked Hero" monsters, and when combined with "Mask Change" or "Form Change", lets you get a WATER or high Leveled "Masked HERO" while destroying your opponents' monsters.

Linked Zones are any Zones that are pointed to by Link Markers on Link Monsters. Any monsters occupying such Zones are considered to be linked to the Link Monster whose Link Marker is pointing to them. If a Main Monster Zone is currently a Linked Zone, a player can Special Summon monsters from their Extra Deck to those Zones.

A Fusion Summon is the act of Special Summoning a Fusion Monster from the Extra Deck using the effect of "Polymerization" or any other card effects which explicitly states that the summon is a Fusion Summon.

During their Main Phase 1 or 2, the turn player can Fusion Summon a Fusion Monster from the Extra Deck by first declaring the action and then activating "Polymerization". Following this, they select the Fusion Monster in their Extra Deck that they intend to Fusion Summon. They then send the requisite Fusion Materials in their hand or on their side of the Field to the Graveyard, as listed on the Fusion Monster itself. After that, the Fusion Monster is taken from the Extra Deck and placed on the field in face-up Attack or Defense Position.

"Change" Field Spell Cards

If a "HERO" Fusion Monster (even if it is face-down) would be Special Summoned from the Extra Deck to Extra Monster zone or/and Linked Zone on the Field, as a Fusion Monster Card, you can place that "Abstract" Fusion Monster in the Main Monster Zone instead, also, after that, you can select that same "Abstract" Fusion Monster on the field, then, if all the Fusion Materials that were used for its Fusion Summon are in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon all of them. You can select 1 Link Monster you control, also, after that, send it to the Graveyard. Non-"HERO" Monsters in the Linked Zone(s) cannot attack or be attacked, cannot change their position, and their effect(s) are negated. "HERO" Monsters in these Linked Zones cannot attack or be attacked. Once per turn: You can Special Summon 1 "HERO" Fusion Monster from your Graveyard, ignoring the Summoning conditions. Once per turn: You can select 1 of your banished "HERO" Fusion Monsters, also, after that, Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position or face-up Defense Position, ignoring the Summoning conditions. You can only activate 1 "Change - Field Spell Card -One" per turn.

Ignoring the Summoning conditions is a phrase that allows a card effects to Summon a monster regardless of the Summoning conditions written on that Monster Card.

Special Summoning by ignoring the Summoning conditions is not considered properly Special Summoning, so if a Nomi or Special Summon-only monster is Special Summoned this way, it cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard or if banished.

However, even with an effect that ignores the Summoning conditions, Nomi and Special Summon-only monsters cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard or if banished unless they have first been properly Special Summoned.

The phrase was coined by Kevin Tewart of Upper Deck Entertainment to allow for flexibility when Summoning LV monsters with either "Level Up!" or "Level Modulation", although this term has been applied to many other groups of cards, such as monsters that cannot be Special Summoned and Special Summon-only monsters.
