Basically you are paying your life points to your opponent and they are forced to give you cards. However, they necessarily don't have to give you good cards to make it fair, because otherwise you can just take their zoos or whatever, when in actuality they will give you like, their shuffle reborn or pot of desires because they know you cant use shuffle reborn or that you still think pot of desires is a -9, so they don't really mind about losing 1 of their 3 pot of desires, a total of -27. Even better, give you their garnet in hand.
