Pythr
So I've been playing a bunch of Paleozoic Frogs at my locals, and thought up of some fun support for them that (some of the cards) (should) speed them up (as they are pretty slow right now). [spoiler=Cards (4)] Paleozoic TriproetusTrap - NormalTarget 1 “Paleozoic” Trap Card in your GY; Special Summon that target as a Normal Monster (Aqua-Type/WATER/Level 2/ATK 1200/DEF 0). (That card is NOT treated as a Trap Card/) If Summoned this way, that card is unaffected by monster effects, also banish it when it leaves the field. Once per Chain, when a Trap Card is activated while this card is in your Graveyard: Special Summon this card as a Normal Monster (Aqua-Type/WATER/Level 2/ATK 1200/DEF 0). (This card is NOT treated as a Trap Card.) If Summoned this way, this card is unaffected by monster effects, also banish it when it leaves the field. Paleozoic ArchegonusTrap - NormalTarget 1 of your banished “Paleozoic” Trap Cards; Special Summon that target as a Normal Monster (Aqua-Type/WATER/Level 2/ATK 1200/DEF 0). Paleozoic Triarthrus Trap - NormalTarget up to 2 “Paleozoic” Normal Monsters you control; those targets are unaffected by other Spell/Trap effects until the End Phase. Paleozoic PeronopsisTrap - NormalTarget up to 2 “Paleozoic” Normal Monsters you control; those targets cannot be destroyed by battle until the End Phase. For naming, I did search up fossils from the Paleozoic era to stay consistent (though I don't know how consistent I was), but despite that, I decided to release these cards for the hell of it. I would put it in Advanced if I were confident enough in my ability to balance cards and such. (I do know they're from a certain part of the Paleozoic era, but I just grabbed two names that sounded nice off the Wikipedia and called it a day. I don't want to go researching into this like it's some final science project.)
TOPsycho
Hey there, Pythr! Overall, great cards! Paleozoics definitely need a little help getting monsters out with Link format and the ruling that stopped them from chaining to themselves, and the first two help that immensely. Only other thing I can say is that you could probably make the last two Traps target any Paleozoic monsters, and not just the Normal monsters (I.e. the Traps), and it wouldn't be broken. Protecting an Xyz for a turn wouldn't break the game, but if so you could add a small cost, such as discarding a card. Keep on creating!
Pythr
Thanks for the feedback! I see how that wouldn't be so bad, however I did make these cards to tackle two things I've had problems with; Getting Paleo traps out faster than they currently can.Protecting the lil guys to Xyz with next turn if you need to suddenly use all your traps. But I do appreciate the suggestion. I'm not saying it's bad, but I thought I'd throw in my reasoning for the choice. But I'll probably make the change once I decide on it.
