Torgola
Hello everyone! This is my first Deck here in the forum, so I hope I'm doing it right :P I'm creating a Deck based in the characters and items of the game "Chrono Cross", while still trying to make it not so overpowered (which was a hard thing in the beginning, since I was trying to base myself in their real abilities and in the game events). Those are not all the card that I've created so far. However, the idea is creating two different Decks: A TimeDevourer-Dragons Deck and a DualWorlds-Warriors Deck. All the events "described" in the cards are based in the lore from the Chrono Compendium. Below, the still incomplete TimeDevourer-Dragons Deck. You might notice some cards mentioned in those cards descriptions that aren't listed here, like "Serge", "Dragon Tear" and "Chronopolis". Those cards belong to the DualWorlds-Warriors Deck. I've defined equivalents from the Chrono Cross's Element Colors to the 6 Basic Attributes (Black -> DARK, White -> LIGHT, Green -> WIND, Yellow -> EARTH, Red -> FIRE, Blue -> WATER). This Deck cards basically try to take the maximum advantage from Field Spell Cards and your opponents Monsters Types and Attributes. El Nido's Water DragonATK/DEF: (2500 / 1500) Level 6Attribute: WATER Type: [Dragon / Effect]Description: If there is any Fairy or Aqua-Type monster on the field, you can Special Summon this card, and that counts as yours Normal/Set Summon for this turn. If “Umi” is face-up on the field, increase this card ATK by 200 points.Observations: This card first effect is based in its in-game location, and the second effect based in the fact that its the Water Dragon. El Nido's Black Dragon ATK/DEF: (2900 / 2100) Level 8Attribute: DARK Type: [Dragon / Effect]Description: If there is any Beast-Warrior or Aqua-Type monster on the field, you can Special Summon this card, and that counts as yours Normal/Set Summon for this turn. If your opponent summons a Beast-Warrior-Type monster, change this card to defense position until it leaves the field. If “Yami” is face-up on the field, increase this card ATK by 200 points.Observations: This card first effect is based in its in-game location, and the third effect based in the fact that its the Black Dragon. The second effect works as a balance to the fact that its a 2900 ATK monster that can be Special Summoned with no tributes, since it will happen if the said Beast-Warrior (in case it's a Beast-Warrior) belongs to your opponent. It is also based in an in-game event. El Nido's Green DragonATK/DEF: (2500 / 1600)Level 6Attribute: WIND Type: [Dragon / Effect]Description: If there is any Insect or Dinosaur-type monster on the field, you can Special Summon this card, and that counts as yours Normal/Set Summon for this turn. If “Forest” is face-up on the field, increase this card ATK by 200 points.Observations: This card first effect is based in its in-game location, and the second effect based in the fact that its the Green Dragon. El Nido's Earth DragonATK/DEF: (2600 / 2000)Level 7Attribute: EARTH Type: [Dragon / Effect]Description: If there is any Rock or Beast-type monster on the field, you can Special Summon this card, and that counts as yours Normal/Set Summon for this turn. If “Wasteland” is face-up on the field, increase this card ATK by 200 points.Observations: This card first effect is based in its in-game location, and the second effect based in the fact that its the Earth Dragon. El Nido's Fire DragonATK/DEF: (1900 / 1700)Level 6Attribute: FIRE Type: [Dragon / Effect]Description: If you Tribute Summon this card by tributing one Pyro-Type monster from your side of the field, increase this card original ATK by 1000 points. Increase this card ATK by 200 points for every face-up Pyro-Type monster on the field.Observations: This card first effect is based in the fact that you find it in a cave with lots of "Pyro-type monsters", and the second effect based in the fact that its the Fire Dragon. This card can't be Special Summoned directly like the others, but in the other hand its first effect grants its a huge bust in its ATK if you control a Pyro-Type monster. El Nido's Sky DragonATK/DEF: (2900 / 1900)Level 8Attribute: LIGHT Type: [Dragon / Effect]Description: If “El Nido’s Water Dragon”, “El Nido’s Black Dragon”, “El Nido’s Green Dragon”, “El Nido’s Earth Dragon” and “El Nido’s Fire Dragon” are in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon this card. If this card is in your field when a card effect declares that all the cards in the field should be destroyed: Return this card to your hand and remove from play all your face-up monsters on the field until the next End Phase.Observations: This card first effect is based in the fact that you can only fight it in-game after defeating all the others. This card second effect is based in an in-game event. While it's the most powerful monster between the 6 Elemental Dragons since it has no drawbacks, it's also the hardest to summon, since it requires two tributes or the Special Summon conditions, which are even harder to achieve under normal circumstances. Dinopolis's Dragon GodATK/DEF: (3600 / 3600)Level 12Attribute: LIGHT Type: [Dragon / Effect / Fusion]Description: “El Nido’s Water Dragon“ + “El Nido’s Sky Dragon” + “El Nido’s Black Dragon“ + “El Nido’s Green Dragon” + “El Nido’s Earth Dragon” + “El Nido’s Fire Dragon”. A Fusion Summon of this card can only be done with the above Fusion Materials. This card can only be Fusion Summoned and Special Summoned, and it can only be Special Summoned by the effect of “Frozen Flame” and by no other means. During the turn that this card is summoned, activate “Terra Tower” (from your hand or Deck). During each Standby Phase, you may change this card Attribute to DARK, LIGHT, EARTH, WIND, FIRE or WATER.Observations: The strongest Dragon in the Deck. This card summon conditions are based in in-game events, just like its first effect. Its second effect is based in its in-game ability to change its attribute to fit to the battle field. While this card is very overpowered, it's very hard to summon considering it depends of at least 7 cards (The 6 Elemental Dragon + "Polymerization" or "Frozen Flame"). Harle - The Seventh DragonATK/DEF: (3600 / 3000)Level 11Attribute: DARK Type: [spellcaster / Effect]Description: Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand or Deck) immediately after applying the effect of “Schala’s Magnetic Storm” if you have a Dragon-Type monster in your side of the field. In the turn that you summon that card, roll a dice. The resulting number multiplied by 600 will be this card ATK, multiplied by 500 will be this card DEF and multiplied by 2 will be this card Level. If you or your opponent summon “Dinopolis’s Dragon God” using “Frozen Flame”’s effect, or “Serge” using “Dragon Tear”’s second effect, this card is removed from play.Observations: That card is most of the time only useful when fighting the DualWorlds-Warriors Deck, since it requires that your enemy have the "Frozen Flame" due to the "Schala's Magnetic Storm" effect. If it's going to be very powerful or very weak, depends of your luck. Its last effect is based in an in-game event. Lavos - The Time DevourerATK/DEF: (3600 / 4800)Level 12Attribute: LIGHT Type: [Fiend / Effect]Description: Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand or Deck) by the second effect of “Time Egg” and by no other means. If this card is destroyed as a result of battle, remove it and “Darkness Beyond Time” from play. This card can only attack if three monsters already attacked during that same Battle Phase. This card effects cannot be negated.Observations: That card was really hard to make, because at first it was too overpowered and at the same time easy to summon. While it's still very easy to summon (using the "Time Egg" is enough), the fact that it's bound to "Darkness Beyond Time" turn it into a kind of last resource card to avoid being defeated by a strong monster, since your won't be able to damage your opponent life points, and won't be able to attack unless you have other 3 other monsters in your side of the field. That will last until you, or your opponent, manage to destroy this card or the field (which will automatically destroy this card). Schala's Magnetic StormType: Counter Trap CardDescription: Negate the effects of “Chronopolis” during this turn. If your opponent controls “Frozen Flame”, target a monster in your side of the field. Until that monster is destroyed, negate the effects of “Frozen Flame”.Observations: Just like "Harle", this card is only useful when fighting agains the DualWorlds-Warriors Deck. In any other case, it's useless most of the time. Frozen FlameType: Spell CardDescription: Activate one of the effects below. • If you have “El Nido’s Water Dragon“, “El Nido’s Sky Dragon”, “El Nido’s Black Dragon”, “El Nido’s Green Dragon”, “El Nido’s Earth Dragon” and “El Nido’s Fire Dragon” in your field and Graveyard, remove those cards from play and Special Summon 1 “Dinopolis’s Dragon God” from your Extra Deck. • Activate “Chronopolis” (from your hand or Deck).Observations: This card is present in both Decks. The first effect is for the TimeDevourer-Dragons one. Basically, it's the "Dragon God" special Polymerization, since it require the Elemental Dragons to be in the Field or the Graveyard, instead of in your hand or the Field, with the drawback that it removes the tributes from play. Time EggType: Spell CardDescription: This card can only be activated if you have one or more monsters in your side of the field. Choose one of the following effects: • Target 1 monster in your Graveyard that was sent there from the field: Special Summon it. • Special Summon “Lavos - The Time Devourer” (from your hand or Deck) in your side of the field and activate “Darkness Beyond Time” (from your hand or Deck). If one of those two cards isn’t in your hand or Deck, this effect is negated.Observations: The card that can summon "Lavos - The Time Devourer", however it also has a "Monster Reborn" like effect, but which can only bring back monsters from your Graveyard, and that were specifically sent there from the field. Powerful, but only for specific cases. Darkness Beyond TimeType: Field Spell CardDescription: This card can only be activated by the effect of “Time Egg”. While this card is face-up on the field, none of the players take any damage to their life points. If this card leaves the field, remove “Lavos - The Time Devourer” from play. This card effects cannot be negated.Observations: This card is part of the Lavos combo. The choice to avoid battle damage is lore-based, but was also decided to avoid making Lavos too overpowered. The "Darkness Beyond Time", in the case of a duel, would mean that the battle is taking place after the duel's end, which means that the life points do not exist here. Also, Lavos does not exist out of the DBT, so leaving the field removes Lavos from play, kinda sending the monsters back to the duel's time. At first I planned to add to that field the effect to negate summons as well, but that would create a "deadlock" in many cases, like for example: when you can't destroy opponent monsters due to Lavos effect and the opponent monster can't destroy Lavos as well due to its huge ATK and DEF. Terra TowerType: Field Spell CardDescription: This card can only be activated by the effect of “Dinopolis’s Dragon God”. If “Dinopolis’s Dragon God“ is destroyed, destroy that card. During each of your Standby Phases: target an Attribute. Monsters with that Attribute increase their ATK and DEF by 200 points until your next Standby Phase.Observations: This card creates the Dragon God combo. While the "Dragon God" isn't bound to "Terra Tower", "Terra Tower" depends of the "Dragon God" to work, so it's destroyed if "Dragon God" is destroyed. It works like a regular Field Spell Card, but which can be changed during every Standby Phase. Attribute FieldType: Continous Spell CardDescription: Every time a monster attacks, this card stores this monster Attribute and add an Attribute Counter. After every attack from a monster with the same attribute, add a new Attribute Counter (max. 3). If a monster with a different attribute attacks, change this card attribute to the one of that monster, and reset the Attribute Counter to 1. For every Attribute Counter, the monsters which have the stored attribute gain 200 points of ATK and DEF.Observations: This card is based in the game battle concept, and is present in both Decks. While it works as a secondary Field Spell Card, it can also be used by the opponent, so if it's managed properly by him/her it might be a very dangerous card. Decks where all (or most of) the monsters have the same attribute would have no problems taking advantage of that card. 5th Level Element - Target FieldType: Spell CardDescription: This card can only be activated if “Attribute Field“ in on the field. Change “Attribute Field” stored Attribute to FIRE, WATER, WIND or EARTH, and change its Attribute Counter to 3. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase the turn you activate this card.Observations: The last part of this card effect was added to avoid players taking use of it to increase a monster ATK by 600 and attacking directly; it also is compatible with the game mechanics. Most of the time, this card could be used to avoid your opponent using the "Attribute Field" under his/her advantage. DARK and LIGHT aren't included in the options because this card is based in the Red/Yellow/Blue/Green Field Elements, and there are no Black/White Field Elements in the game. 6th Level Element - Seal AllType: Continuous Spell CardDescription: This card can only be activated if you have a monster with 1800 ATK points or more and the DARK attribute. During every Standby Phase, add a Seal Counter to this card. When it reaches 5, destroy this card. While this card remains face-up on the field: Spell Cards, Trap Cards and Monster Effects are negated.Observations: The idea of this card is that Spell Cards, Traps Cards and Monster Effects are analogous to "Chrono Cross" Elements. No need to say that, since this Deck has lots of Spell Cards, this card would have a huge effect on it. If you are trying to win the duel by making your opponent draw his/her whole Deck (or just waiting until you draw the right card), you may combine this card to the Lavos combo while "Lavos - The Time Devourer" is in defense position. That give you 5 rounds with no effects and no life points damage unless your opponent manages to summon a monster with an ATK bigger than Lavos DEF. The Deck is still being created. I plan to create the cards with YCM and add them here once the Deck is finished. Any suggestion for the existing cards or for future ones? :) EDIT (18/11/2017 - 18:37 GMT -2): Just changed the name of the dragons to avoid conflicts and name problems with cards that already exist in the game.
