Frog sat on the sidewalk wiping blood from his mouth as he and his brother stood on the cold sidewalk in a pouring rainy day in Domino City. Looking annoyingly up at his brother he remarked irritably: ``Well, what the heck are we going to do now? We've been kicked out of frikkin' DUEL ACADEMY! Aren't you the one who always gets us out of these situations!'' Frog complained to his older brother, Raven. ``Relax.'' he said. ``I have a way to get us back in.'' Frog rolled his eyes. ``Oh, great, now we'll probably go to JAIL, too!'' Raven silenced his brother with a quick glare. ``There is a tournament going on in Domino City next Friday. The winner gets a one way ticket to the Obelisk Blue Dorm in Duel Academy.'' Raven said. Frog got up from his post in the curb. ``Oh, right! The last time we tried to get in the Obelisk Blue Dorm, we got banned for frikkin' KIDNAPPING A STUDENT!!!''

``The plan would've worked out perfectly if the kid hadn't shouted so loud.'' Raven retorted.

``Yeah?'' Frog stared his older brother straight in the face. ``WELL YOU CAN TAKE THAT PLAN OF YOURS AND SHOVE IT UP YOUR-''

Suddenly an old man stepped up to the quarreling brothers.

``Am I interrupting something?'' the old man said. Raven looked at the geezer. ``....no. And who the hell are you?'' The old man bowed politely. ``I am Mr. Takazuki, a dueling contractor.''

Frog and Raven immediately gave their complete attention to the contractor. For as everyone in Domino City knows, Mr. Takazuki is one of the most famous dueling contractors in the world.

``I heard your going to participate in a tournament of some sorts.'' Mr. Takazuki said. ``Um... yes.'' Raven said.

``Well, I would like to your contractor for this event! You will require vigorous training, too! Both of which I will happily provide.'' the old contractor proposed. ``Here's my card and a book which has been with me for a long time. Here.'' Handing Frog and Raven the card and the book, Mr. Takazuki walked away. Raven looked at the card and Frog looked at the book.

``Saving the World and 1200 Things to Do on a Rainy Day?'' Frog commented sceptically. ``Oh, well, I didn't really have any other things to read.''

 

Frog and Raven trod on toward their apartment. Meanwhile, a strange figure followed them. I must have that book. the man said. Those rank amateurs have no comprehension of it's power... oh well, there's always the tournament....

 

END OF PROLOGUE

 

CHAPTER ONE

 

Frog and Raven had just entered the tournament grounds. Looking above them, Raven could see a broad stadium with bleachers that could seat millions of people. ``Um, Raven?'' Frog said. ``That strange guy with the hat and coat is still following us.'' Raven looked back over his shoulder and raised his eyebrows. ``For jeeze's sake, Frog. You do know where we are? Hello, Domino City!!! Strange guys follow people around all the time. And besides, as I've always said, `If a Strange Guy Follows You, your bound for Greatness.' It worked with Yugi Motou and Jaden Yuki, and it'll sure as hell work for us!'' Frog rolled his eyes. Raven sighed and looked around and saw a young girl with flowing blond hair, sparkling eyes, a nice smile and soft skin walked past Frog and Raven. Gaping, Raven turned to his brother. ``You. Registration. Now.'' Frog protested. ``ME!? But it was your idea so-'' but his pleas all went to deaf ears. Raven pushed Frog into the Registration Area and zipped over to the girl faster than a jet plane.

 

``Hey!'' Raven said, putting his hand up for the girl to shake. ``Name's Raven.'' The girl backed away from him, but shook Raven's hand. ``Um... Isabella.'' the girl said. ``What's a pretty thing like you doing here?'' Raven said. Isabella walked away from Raven. ``I'm participating in the tournament. And if you are too, you should leave me alone. Flirting with other players is against the rules.'' Raven looked, open mouthed, as she walked away. Suddenly he heard cries of anger from Frog. ``Let me go, let me go!'' ``Give me the book, you brat! Ow, that was my best finger!'' Rushing forward, Raven saw the hooded strange guy carrying away Frog. ``Hey, YOU!'' he said. ``Come back here!'' Raven said. Suddenly he saw the book that Frog had. Saving the World and 1200 Things to Do on a Rainy Day. Picking it up, Raven chased after Frog and the strange guy, eventually ending the chase on a rooftop. The hooded cloaked guy turn dramatically at Raven. ``YOU... have the book! GIVE it to me... NOW!!!'' Raven raised his eyebrows. ``Um... you could've just asked, and not kidnapped my brother and lured me into a rooftop. Who are you, William Shatner?'' The hooded guy glared at Raven. ``FOOL!!! Don't you know me? I am the infamous... the extraordinary... MR. MYSTERY!!!'' Raven rolled his eyes sceptically. ``Oh, yeah, VERY original.'' he said. ``*cough*not*cough*.'' Mr. Mystery activated his duel disk dramatically at Raven. ``RAVEN... I here by challenge you.... to a DUEL!!!!'' Raven backed away slowly. ``Um, listen pally, you could just ask, I don't want to duel, I can just GIVE you the book...'' Mr. Mystery let out a roar of rage. ``NO! We must DUEL!!!'' he protested. Raven looked at Frog tied up. ``Well, if you bloody insist.'' he grumbled and activated his duel disk.

 

CHAPTER ONE END...

 

NEXT TIME... RAVEN VERSUS THE INCOMPETENT MR. MYSTERY!!! WHO SHALL WIN?

 

CHAPTER TWO

 

Raven stared at his incompetent opponent. ``Well... I guess I should go first.'' Raven said. Drawing out his hand, Raven looked at them thoroughly. ``I summon Iron Raven LV4! (1200/1000) Then I put two face downs and I guess I end my turn.'' Mr. Mystery drew his cards with a swipe, though he did it very poorly and his cards fell to the ground. ``Um... oops.'' Mr. Mystery said. Picking up his cards, he summoned a monster. ``I summon my Ace Detective Jack! (1600/1000)'' Suddenly a mysterious man in a detective jacket walked onto the field. Pulling out a revolver, the detective shot the raven, destroying it. RAVEN LP- 3400. ``And now for my sleuth's special effect!'' Mr. Mystery said dramatically. ``You have to show me your hand!'' Raven raised his eyebrows and showed Mr. Mystery his hand. ``Excellent, and now I have the option of tributing Jack into order to summon... my ACE DETECTIVE KING!!!'' (1800/1200) Raven raised his eyebrows. ``oookay... as if that matters. I now activate my trap card, Call of the Haunted, in order to revive my bird.'' he said. A ghostly ring of smoke arised and out came the Iron Raven. ``Next I equip him with the Spell Card Iron Beak! It's crude, but effective.'' The Iron Raven LV4 had it's attack raised by 700. ``Of course, at a cost, at the end of the turn my bird will be destroyed.'' Raven said. ``But it's a small price to pay.'' (IRON RAVEN LV4-1900 ATK) The Iron Raven swooped and landed screeching at the Ace Detective King and destroyed him. ``Of course, a super sleuth like you knows what happens to LV monsters if they destroy a card.'' Raven grinned. ``I don't even HAVE to tribute him for Iron Beak's effect. I get to summon a new Iron Raven- Iron Raven LV6!'' A large metallic raven swooped down. (2400/2000) ``Your turn.'' Raven smiled. Mr. Mystery glared and drew. ``God darnit! Um... does this draw um... count?'' Raven glared at the sleuth. ``Of course it counts! What are you, some little kid?'' Suddenly a voice came from Mr. Mystery's legs. ``Uh oh, he's on to us, Billy!'' Mr. Mystery looked down his coat. ``Oh, shut up, Bobby, he'll hear you!'' Raven stepped toward Mr. Mystery. Ripping off the coat, much to the dubbed `Mr. Mystery's' objection, revealing two nine year old boys. ``Who the hell are you?'' Raven said. The smallest one, who seemed to be named Billy, got up. ``sigh... You ruined it! Oh well... our names are Billy and Bobby. We've got no mom nor dad, and we don't wanna go to an orphanage, so we became hired `mercenaries' for people. We were hired by a guy named Mr. Kamikazi.'' Raven untied Frog as he listened to the brothers' tale. ``Mr. Kamikazi, eh? He's the second biggest contractor in Domino, besides Mr. Takazuki. I wonder...'' he thought.

 

Frog and Raven left Billy and Bobby to their own routes while they hurried to the stadium. The tournament was almost starting.

 

A plump man in a black and white checkered shirt which was too small for his stomach sat in a black Lamborghini as he talked to his henchman. ``Igor!'' the man known in Domino City as Mr. Kamikazi said to his servant. ``Um, my name's not Igor, boss. It's Jose-'' Mr. Kamikazi stamped his foot irritably.

``Bring me more donuts!'' Mr. Kamikazi commanded.

``Um, were all out of donuts, boss.''

``Then get some, you fool! And while your at it eliminate those two meddlers, Frog and Raven I think their names were.''

``Yes, boss.''

And the Lamborghini drove out to attend the Tournament.

 

CHAPTER 3: ROUND ONE!!

 

Millions of people had come to watch the tournament. Frog looked around at the competition. Most of them looked like they were ready for a renosaince fair, one guy had some wild western costume while another guy was wearing military uniform. ``Are those costumes really necessary?'' Frog asked. Raven shrugged. ``It's probably a regulation in the pro circuit that you have to wear a stupid costume.

 

The announcer suddenly spoke up. ``Hellooooo, and welcome to the Domino City Annual Toooournament!!!!! Hosted by noooone other than Maximillion Peeeeegasus!!!!'' Frog looked up at Raven. ``Why does Pegasus always hosts these stupid tournaments?'' he asked his older brother. ``Because he has waaaay to much time on his hands.'' Raven replied.

 

Pegasus took the microphone from the announcer. ``Hellooooooo, everybody!'' Pegasus announced. ``Weeeelcome to the Doooominoooo Ciiity Aaaaanual Toooooournament!!!!!''

 

Frog raised his eyebrows at Raven. Suddenly Pegasus shouted: ``Leeeet theee tooooournament begiiiiiiin!!!!''

 

Frog and Raven looked up at the display board. They were dueling first!

 

FIRST ROUND MATCH-UPS

 

RAVEN VS. the COLONEL

 

``All right, sonny boy!'' the Colonel said. ``Get ready to be blasted away! I summon my Machine Gunner(800/800) to the field!'' A soldier armed with a machine gun appeared on the field. Raven raised his eyebrows. ``What's a little tin soldier like him gonna do?'' he asked. The Colonel smiled and put two cards faced down. ``You'll see!''

 

Raven drew and smiled. He had gotten a good hand. ``I summon my Raven Warrior(1600/1200) in attack mode!'' he said. A warrior with a Raven's mask on and a cloak of raven feathers appeared on the field. ``Now attack his Machine Gunner!'' he commanded. The Raven Warrior rushed toward the soldier with superhuman speed, but the Colonel smiled and activated a trap card. A deep hole in the ground appeared and the Machine Gunner lay himself flat in it. ``What's that?'' Raven asked in surprise. Colonel smiled. ``It's a Trap Card known as Trench Warfare. Here's how it works. When Trench Warfare is in play, all monsters on my side of my field get sent into defense mode. Also, monsters on my side of the field in defense mode that were in play while Trench Warfare was activated, cannot be attacked!'' Raven smiled. ``Yes, but I can still attack you.'' The Raven Warrior rushed toward and scythed him threw with his sword. COL LP: 2400. Raven smiled. The Colonel glared. Raven put down three face downs and ended his turn. ``Not so fast, laddie buck! I'm summoning another Machine Gunner in play!'' the Colonel said. Another soldier armed with a machine gun appeared on the field. ``Now here's where his special effect comes in!'' Colonel grinned. ``Attack that Raven Warrior!'' The Machine Gunner started rapidly shooting and suddenly his attack got raised to 1600! Both Raven Warrior and Machine Gunner got destroyed. ``That's his ability!'' Colonel said. ``Whenever one of my Machine Gunners is attacking a monster stronger than him, then his attack doubles! Now my second Machine Gunner will get out of the trenches and fight back!'' The Machine Gunner clattered his machine gun and hit Raven square on. RAV LP: 3200. ``I end my turn!'' Colonel jeered.

 

Raven drew. ``I summon Iron Raven LV4! (1200/1000)'' The same raven made of iron appeared on the field. Colonel smiled. ``You still can't attack my Gunner. Trench Warfare, remember?'' Raven nodded. ``Yes, but remember I can still attack you.'' BOOM! COL LP: 1200.

 

``I'll get you for that, you little punk!'' the Colonel roared furiously. ``I activate the Spell Card Cost Down! Then I tribute my Machine Gunner in order to summon my Armored Tank!(2900/3000)'' Blowing the Iron Raven to smithereens, Colonel smiled. ``There's no way you can get out of this now!''

1201 things to do on rainy days in one book? Eh, as long as it's a page per thing or less, I guess a publisher would consider running it. And the strange figure? Here I was, thinking this would be original, XD. Throw out the next chapter. I want to see what this book is like before I review.

BU-U-UMP! What's wrong with you people? COMMENT! If I don't hear people's constructive criticisms and comments, then I'll assume they hate this fan fic and want to have nothing more to do with it. So roll in the comments, people!
