Warmonk Archetype ~ The Vanguard Will Prevail!

Come one, (please) Come All! The Warmonks have taken centerstage!

 

The Warmonks are an old Warrior Tribe hidden on a remote island in the ocean. Alas, they have finally decided to move from their island and take the fight to the world! These ancient fighters use their Pendulum abilities to keep themselves cycling and ready for battle. If you can Summon you're "Ascetic" Warmonks, you can go into their powerful Xyzs and become a powerful force of will!

 

This archetype was largely based on how Cardfight! Vanguard is played and I've tried to capture it into Yu-Gi-Oh! With the field spell in play, the theatre is changed and your game makes it's biggest change to its theme, but be wary, for if you lose control of your troops, you will surely pay (LP). The main playstyle revolves around keeping 1 large Xyz monster and protecting it using the various Warmonk cards at your disposal.

PE: Once per turn, when a "Warmonk" monster you control destroys an opponent's monster by battle: you can shuffle 1 face-up "Warmonk" Pendulum monster from your Extra Deck into the Deck; that monster can attack again.
ME: Once per turn, you can destroy 1 other "Warmonk" card you control: excavate the top 5 cards of your Deck, then add 1 "Warmonk" monster from those excavated cards to your hand, then return the rest of those cards to the bottom of your Deck in any order. If this card is added to your hand by the effect of a "Warmonk" monster you control: you can place this card in your Pendulum Zone or Special Summon it.

ME: Once per turn, you can destroy 1 other "Warmonk" card you control: place 3 "Warmonk" monsters from your hand and/or GY on top of your Deck in any order, then draw 1 card from the bottom of your Deck. If this card is added to your hand by the effect of a "Warmonk" monster you control: you can place this card in your Pendulum Zone or Special Summon it.

ME: Once per turn, you can destroy 1 "Warmonk" card in your Pendulum Zone: destroy 1 face-up card your opponent controls. If a "Warmonk" monster you control battles an opponent's monster: you can change this card to Defense Position; that monster gains 500 ATK. This card cannot attack the turn you activate this effect. If this card is added to your hand by the effect of a "Warmonk" monster you control: you can place it in your Pendulum Zone. During Damage Calculation, if the "Warmonk" monster you control with the highest ATK is attacked by an opponent's monster with higher ATK; You can place this card from your hand face-up on your Extra Deck; your battling monsters gains 1000 ATK during this battle only.

ME: Once per turn, you can destroy 1 "Warmonk" card in your Pendulum Zone: destroy 1 Set card your opponent controls. If a "Warmonk" monster you control battles an opponent's monster: you can change this card to Defense Position; that monster gains 500 ATK. This card cannot attack the turn you activate this effect. If this card is added to your hand by the effect of a "Warmonk" monster you control: you can place this card in your Pendulum Zone. ME: This card cannot be used as Xyz Material for a Summon during the turn it was Special Summon. When this card is Summoned: destroy 1 "Warmonk" card you control. During Damage Calculation between this card and an opponent's monster: excavate the top card of your Deck: if it is a "Warmonk" monster, add it to your hand, and if you do, this card gains 500 ATK, otherwise, place it on the bottom of the Deck. A "Warmonk" Xyz monster with this card as Material gains the following effect:
*Once per turn, you can destroy other 1 "Warmonk" card you control, then detach 1 Xyz Material from this card (Quick Effect): Special Summon 1 "Warmonk" monster from your hand, or place 1 "Warmonk" monster from your hand in your Pendulum Zone.

Gains the ATK of all "Warmonk" monsters attached to it as Material. During Damage Calculation between this card and an opponent's monster: excavate the top card of your Deck: if it is a "Warmonk" monster, add it to your hand, and if you do, this card gains 500 ATK, otherwise place it on the bottom of the Deck. You cannot Summon Rank 11 or higher monsters the turn you Xyz Summon this card. Gains the ATK of all "Warmonk" monsters attached to it as Material. During Damage Calculation between this card and an opponent's monster: excavate the top 2 cards of your Deck: add any excavated "Warmonk" monsters to your hand, and if you do, this card gains 500 ATK for each, then place the rest on bottom of the Deck. Once per turn: you can detach 1 "Warmonk" monster from this card; attach 1 face-up "Warmonk" Pendulum monster from your Extra Deck to this card, then shuffle 3 "Warmonk" cards from your GY into the Deck. While this card has a "Warmonk" monster attached to it, it cannot be Tributed or destroyed by battle. If this monster on the field is sent to the GY, you can place it in Pendulum Zone.

ME: You can also Xyz Summon this card by using 1 Rank 10 "Warmonk" monster you control as Material (Transfer its Materials to this card). Gains the ATK of all "Warmonk" monsters attached to it as Material. During Damage Calculation between this card and an opponent's monster: excavate the top 3 cards of your Deck: add any excavated "Warmonk" monsters to your hand, and if you do, this card gains 500 ATK for each, then place the rest on bottom of the Deck. Once per turn, you can detach 1 "Warmonk" monster from this card (Quick Effect); attach 1 face-up "Warmonk" Pendulum monster from your Extra Deck to this card, then banish 1 card on the field. While this card has a "Warmonk" monster attached to it, it cannot be Tributed or destroyed by battle or card effects. If this monster on the field is sent to the GY, you can place it in your Pendulum Zone.

Place 1 face-up "Warmonk" Pendulum monster from your Extra Deck on top of your Deck: destroy 1 card your opponent controls. You can banish this card from your GY: for the rest of this turn, your opponent takes no damage, also draw 1 card from the bottom of your Deck.
 
Warmonk Recovery Tactics
Normal Trap
When a "Warmonk" card(s) you control is destroyed by your opponent's card (by battle or card effect): place 2 "Warmonk" cards from your GY and/or face-up from your Extra Deck on top of your Deck in any order; draw 1 card from the bottom of your Deck.
 
Warmonk Counterstrike
Counter Trap
When your opponent activates a card or effect, or Special Summons a monster(s): destroy 2 "Warmonk" cards you control; negate the Summon or activation, and if you do, destroy that card, then you can Set this card.
 
Warmonk Theatre
Field Spell
Unaffected by card effects, except for its own. Your opponent takes no damage, except battle damage from the highest Level/Rank "Warmonk" monster you control (The first to battle if tied). You cannot Set or activate Field Spell cards. While there is a face-up "Warmonk" Pendulum monster in your Extra Deck, you take no damage, also you cannot Special Summon monsters, except for "Warmonk" monsters. If there are 5 or more face-up "Warmonk" Pendulum monsters in your Extra Deck, you lose the Duel. "Warmonk" cards in your possession cannot be banished. During the End Phase, if you do not control another face-up "Warmonk" card, destroy this card and lose 3000 LP.

 

Feel free to give any criticisms. I would also like to ask someone to help me figure out how to make the little spoiler boxes for the cards.
