The Shade Summoners is an archetype based on powerful monsters that summon powerful tokens; tokens are essential to maintain your superiority on the field, preserve other monsters and continue your strategy of domination (especially after the activation of “Source of Shadows”).

 

 

Shade Mask

DARK - level 2 - Spellcaster/Effect - 200/300

When this card is Flip Summoned successfully: You can target 1 Level 6 or higher face-up “Shade Summoner” monster on the field; equip this card to that target and treat it as an Equip Card. The equipped monster gains 500 ATK and when it is destroyed you can draw 1 card. When this card equipped to a monster is destroyed and sent from the field to the GY, add it to your hand intestead.

 

Shade Guardian

EARTH - Level 3 - Spellcaster/Effect - 0/2050

FLIP: You can active 1 of these effects:

Target 1 Level 4 or lower “Shade” monster in your GY; add it to your hand.

Target 1 banished DARK monster; return it to GY.

 

Shadecaster

DARK - Level 4 - Spellcaster/Effect - 1550/1050

For each face-up “Shade” monster or “Shade” token on the field this card gain 400 ATK. When this card leaves the field: You can discard 1 card, then add 1 “S/S” monster from your Deck to your hand.

 

Shade Summoner

DARK - Level 4 - Spellcaster/Effect/Tuner - 1050/550

When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the GY: Special Summon 1 “Shade Minion Token” (Fiend-Type/DARK/Level 4/ATK 1850/DEF 0) in face-up Attack Position. It cannot attack the turn it's is Summoned. It cannot be Tributed, and cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster, except for the Tribute Summon of a “S/S Pure Darkness” or by the effect of “Sacrifice of Shadows”, and you treat this 1 token as 2 Tribute Tokens for this Tribute Summon. Destroy this token during the end of your next turn. If this card is in your GY: You can banish it; add 1 “Gate of Shadows” or “Source of Shadows” from your Deck to your hand.

 

Shade Minion

DARK - Level 4 - Fiend/Normal - 1850/1550

A shadow warrior conjured by the shademasters. His power of darkness increases as it materializes. In the form of a spectrum the minion loses its ability to defend however it should never be underestimated.

 

Shadowhound of Darkness

DARK - Level 5 - Fiend/Effect - 2050/1550

(This card always treated as an “Shade” card.)

If your opponent controls 2 or more monsters and you control no monsters, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). If you have another DARK monster face-up on the field, this card can make a second attack during each Battle Phase.

 

S/S Pure Darkness

DARK - Level 6 - Spellcaster/Effect - 1550/2350

When this card is Flip Summoned successfully: You can return this card on the field to your hand. If you do, Special Summon 1 “Shade Overlord Token” (Fiend-Type/DARK/Level 7/ATK 2550/DEF 0) in face-up Attack Position. It cannot attack the turn it's is Summoned. It cannot be Tributed, and cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster, except for the Tribute Summon of a “S/S Pure Darkness” or by the effect of “Sacrifice of Shadows”. Destroy this token during the end of your next turn.

If this card is in your GY: You can banish 2 DARK monsters from your GY; add this card to your hand.

 

S/S Corrupt Darkness

DARK - Level 6 - Spellcaster/Effect - 2350/1550

(This card's name is always treated as “S/S Pure Darkness”)

When this card is Flip Summoned successfully: You can target 1 DARK monster in your GY, banish it; then active 1 of these effects:

Special Summon 1 “Shade Minion Token” (Fiend-Type/DARK/Level 4/ATK 1850/DEF 0) in face-up Attack Position. It cannot attack the turn it's is Summoned. It cannot be Tributed, and cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster, except for the Tribute Summon of a “S/S Pure Darkness” or by the effect of “Sacrifice of Shadows”, and you treat this 1 token as 2 Tribute Tokens for this Tribute Summon. Destroy this token during the end of your next turn.

Target 1 face-down card on the field. Destroy it.

If this card is in your GY: You can banish 2 DARK monsters from your GY; add this card to your hand.

 

Shade Overlord

DARK - Level 7 - Fiend/Normal - 2550/2350

Conjured by the black magic of the shadows this terrifying overlord spreads chaos in the name of his shademasters. In the form of a spectrum the overlord loses its ability to defend however it should never be underestimated.

 

S/S Total Darkness

DARK - Level 6 - Spellcaster/Synchro/Effect - 2250/2350

1 DARK Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters

Once per turn: You can Tribute 1 “Shade Minion Token”; Special Summon 1 DARK level 4 or lower monster from your hand. It cannot attack the turn it's is Summoned. When this card leaves the field: You can Special Summon 2 “Shade Minion Token” (Fiend-Type/DARK/Level 4/ATK 1850/DEF 0) in face-up Attack Position. It cannot attack the turn it's is Summoned. It cannot be Tributed, and cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster, except for the Tribute Summon of a “S/S Pure Darkness” or by the effect of “Sacrifice of Shadows”, and you treat this 1 token as 2 Tribute Tokens for this Tribute Summon. Destroy this token during the end of your next turn.

 

S/S Great Darkness

DARK - Rank 4 - Spellcaster/Xyz/Effect - 2050/1550

2 Level 4 DARK monsters

Once per turn: You can detach 2 Xyz Material from this card; Special Summon 1 “Shade Overlord Token” (Fiend-Type/DARK/Level 7/ATK 2550/DEF 0) in face-up Attack Position. It cannot attack the turn it's is Summoned. It cannot be Tributed, and cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster, except for the Tribute Summon of a “S/S Pure Darkness” or by the effect of “Sacrifice of Shadows”. Destroy this token during the end of your next turn.

 

S/S Infinty Darkness

DARK - Rank 6 - Spellcaster/Xyz/Effect - 2250/2550

2 Level 6 DARK monsters

When this card is Special Summoned: Target 1 card on the field; banish it. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Special Summon 1 “Shade Overlord Token” (Fiend-Type/DARK/Level 7/ATK 2550/DEF 0) in face-up Attack Position. It cannot attack the turn it's is Summoned. It cannot be Tributed, and cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster, except for the Tribute Summon of a “S/S Pure Darkness” or by the effect of “Sacrifice of Shadows”. Destroy this token during the end of your next turn.

 

S/S Supreme Spectral Lord

DARK - Rank 7 - Spellcaster/Xyz/Effect - 3050/0

3 Level 7 DARK monsters

Cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. When this card destroy a monster by battle: Special Summon 1 “Shade Overlord Token” (Fiend-Type/DARK/Level 7/ATK 2550/DEF 0) in face-up Attack Position. It cannot attack the turn it's is Summoned. It cannot be Tributed, and cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster, except for the Tribute Summon of a “S/S Pure Darkness” or by the effect of “Sacrifice of Shadows”. Destroy this token during the end of your next turn. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, only DARK monsters can be Special Summoned, and all effects of non-DARK Effect Monsters on the field are negated, also it's effects cannot be activated.

 

Spell of Summoning Shadows

Normal Spell

Pay 1500 LP to active this card. Special Summon 1 “Shade Overlord Token” (Fiend-Type/DARK/Level 7/ATK 2550/DEF 0) in face-up Attack Position. It cannot attack the turn it's is Summoned. It cannot be Tributed, and cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster, except for the Tribute Summon of a “S/S Pure Darkness” or by the effect of “Sacrifice of Shadows”. Destroy this token during the end of your next turn. You can only active 1 “Spell of Summoning Shadows” per turn.

 

Turmoil of Shadows

Normal Spell

If you control an Level 6 or higher “Shadow Summoner” monster face-up on the field, target up 2 face-down cards on the field; destroy them. In addition inflict 1000 damage to your opponent LP.

 

Rank-Up-Magic Shadows Arise

Normal Spell

Target 1 face-up “Shade Summoner” Xzy Monster you control; Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 “Shade” Xyz monsters but 1 or 2 Rank higher than the monster you control, by using it as an Xyz Material. (This Special Summon is treated as an Xyz Summon. Xyz Materials attached to it also become Xyz Materials on the Sumoned monster).

 

Gate of Shadows

Continuous Spell

Once per turn you can pay 500 LP; Special Summon 1 “Shade Minion Token” (Fiend-Type/DARK/Level 4/ATK 1850/DEF 0) in face-up Attack Position. It cannot attack the turn it's is Summoned. It cannot be Tributed, and cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster, except for the Tribute Summon of a “S/S Pure Darkness” or by the effect of “Sacrifice of Shadows”, and you treat this 1 token as 2 Tribute Tokens for this Tribute Summon. Destroy this token during the end of your next turn. You can only use this effect of “Gate of Shadows” once per turn.

 

Shadows Materalization

Normal Trap

Active this card only if you have 1 or more “Shade Overlord Token” face-up on the field. Target up 3 “Shade Overlord Token” tokens on the field, then Tribute them. Special Summon the same number of “Shade Overlord” monsters in face-up Attack Position from your hand, Deck or GY. It cannot attack this same turn.

 

Sacrifice of Shadows

Normal Trap

Activate this card when you Special Summon a “Shade” Token. Target it and Tribute them; inflict 1000 of damage to your opponent.

 

Source of Shadows

Continuous Trap

Level 6 or higher “Shade Summoner” monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle. Special Summon of “Shade Overlord” and “Shade” tokens cannot be negated. Increase the ATK of all face-up “Shade Overlord” and “Shade” tokens you control by 300. When your opponent's card or effect(s) is activated that target this face-up card on the field: Target 1 DARK monster in your GY, then banish it; negate the effect(s) and destroy them.
