Already a lonely child with busy parents (Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Kamen) she was easily taken advnatage of and made to be the pawn in the Wiseman's plot. The child was led to believe, by Wiseman, that she was not loved by anyone and caused this horrific transformation. Still, that child still existed which played a major role in her freedom from evil. Tuxedo Kamen and Sailor Moon [in the apparel of her future self] helped the Black Lady see that she was loved.
