The Gears of Time

"Dad, were are you going ?, will I ever see you again ?!"

"Son..I'll be back !"

"So that was the last thing he said to you, right ?" asked a stern looking woman.

 

"Yes my dad left that day and never came back" replied the boy.

 

"Do you know what that means? Time Corps sales will decrease by 27% and I don't know what else will happen to the universal timeline !"

 

"So what do you need ?"

 

"Well I need somebody to be able to travel across time to get your father before it starts affecting our timeline "

 

"I think I should do it ! "

 

"Kid how many years do you have in using the Time Glider 300.2 ? "

 

"None but I learn quickly" proclaimed the boy.

 

The boy walked over to the Time Glider and he opened the door, in a matter of seconds the large mettalic box disappeared as it flung itself to the great beyond.

 

The Time Glider travelled for so long centuries had past and Earth was in it's time of need, what it needed was a hero. Not just any hero !

*Foosh* the Time Glider materialised in a public super-market it sides lodged in the cash register. The cashier fainted in terror. The door slid open, the boy walked out. He had a look arround....

 

"Who are you boy ? You are not on the records, show me you passport or I will have to take you to court ?" shouted a uniformed man who seemed to be a figure of authority around these parts.

 

The boy put his hand in his pocket and showed him his passport.

 

"What ? Yamaga Kentari ? You were said to have died 100 years ago ? How did you get here ? "

 

"By Time Glider 300.2 " Yamaga said.

 

"Oh the finest of it's time" the man said.

 

Yamaga was pardoned by the stunned policeman. Yamaga looked around the city...

 

"Hey you baby give me the card or you'll get it" said a boy who Yamaga seemed to recognize.

 

"No my daddy gave it to me and I won't give it to you !" The little boy tightened his grip over the card.

 

Yamaga stepped in.

"Stop it, pick on somebody your own size !"

 

"Shut up !"

 

"stop picking on people, I bet you have a great life, so don't other peoples lives worse !"

 

"Urgh" the boy charged towards Yamaga like an angry bull.

 

Yamaga recognized the move his friend Richard always used it in the fights they got it.

 

"Hey if you want a card then you must be into dueling, let's settle this with a duel !"

DUEL!

The two boys shuffled their decks and drew 5 cards and as it was Yamaga's turn he drew a 6th.

 

"Draw ! My turn" Yamaga looked at his hand carefully.

"I summon Cybernetic Cyclone Buster (1700/1300) and by paying 800 Life Points I place 1 Cyclone on it."

 

"Haha, such a weak monster you have, prepare to face defeat from the likes of a real deck. I draw and oh look at this card. I summon my almighty Bust Rancher Golem (1800/1000) and by discarding my hand I get to increase its ATK by 500 for each Golem monster discarded, giving it a grand total of 3800 ! Now my beast attack !"

 

"No my monster !"

 

"I end my turn, loser"

 

Boy - 4000 LP

Yamaga - 1900 LP

 

"I draw and I activate my Spell Card Life Line so by removing 1 Cybernetic monster in my Graveyard from play I increase my Life Points by its ATK. Now I summon my Blue-Eyes Summoner (100/100) which by paying 2000 Life Points allows me to Special Summon any Blue-Eyes monster from my hand ignoring any conditions. So now you shall face a bitter defeat in the hands of my Blue-Eyes Cybernetic Dragon ! (3500/2800)"

 

An array of blue lights surged from the field into the sky and it formed into a mighty dragon.

The boy trembled in fear as he faced its power.

"Now prepare for defeat in the hands of my monsters wrath, first I pay all but 100 Life Points so I can summon my Cybernetic Warper (800/1500) and Cybernetic Flow Beast (1000/1000). Then I activate my Cybernetic Blast so by Cybernetic Warper, Flower Beast and my Blue-Eyes summoner I can increase my dragons ATK by 1900 !"

 

"You still can't defeat me"

 

"Oh can't it, I activate Limiter Removal !"

 

The dragon destroyed the boy's monster and the duel was over as quick as it started.

 

"Sorry I just thought the card looked cool, my names Richard, well just call me Richy"

Richy handed the card over to the little boy.

 

"Apology accepted my names Yamaga"

 

New friends, new cards what more is Yamaga going to encounter in this strange future.

Yamaga picked his cards up and walked away.

"Wait up !" cried the little boy.

 

"What happened ?" asked Yamaga.

 

"Heres a card for helping me" said the boy as he handed the card to Yamaga.

 

Could it be the almighty Cybernetic Limiter a card he searched to find. So it was true the Cybernetic monsters are truely from the future.

But their was more to Yamaga's amazement.

"Wait Yamaga I'm not stupid, I know how I know you, you are in a picture that belongs to my Grandad, you time travelled didn't you ?"

 

"How did you know ?"

 

"Come on look at you, no one wheres that kind of clothes nowadays, lets say I help you find what your looking for so you can go back to your timeline."

 

"Thanks but it will be a tiresome and difficult task are you willing to do so ?"

 

"Anything for an old timer, like you "

 

The new friends giggled and walked forward without a care, care free as ever.

*Boom, bang*

The door of in factory flew open and a strange figure crept out of it.

"Argh" the factory worker fell to the ground and the strange creature crept over him, sucking out his inner essence.

Thanks I got the idea from watching the Sontaran Strategem.

As I am a Doctor Who fan.

Thanks everyone.

I've made the main character (tektek) and I will edit the first post later today.

The Infinite Code

"Argh..What is that ?..No, no ! Leave M...EEE !

 

"So your saying you used to have these things called 'wheels' on you vehicles ?"

 

"Yeh, we did" replied Yamaga.

 

"Woh, amazing"

 

"Not really"

 

"Not you, that !" *Richard pointed at a giant hovering truck*

 

"You live in a world without wheels and the uncanny ability to easily travel through time and you think a flying truck is cool ?"

 

"But..but it's El Remundo's truck !"

 

"Who the heck is El Remundo ?!"

 

"You don't know ? He's the leader of Cyber Inc. ! That's what creates Time Machines and the new Duel Disk System !"

 

"I thought it was Time Corp last time I checked" said Yamaga.

 

"Times change, Time Corp was over like 100 years ago, they got bankrupt 'cause of that 27% decrease."

 

"Hey Richy, how's your dad these days - and how is that ?" El Remundo boomed.

 

"That's Yamaga, he's a time traveller !"

 

"Wow, hey Richy how about I show your friend around the factory"

 

"Thank's sir that would be cool"

 

"No problem kid"

 

They hopped in the truck.

 

"Wait kids I need to give this lady her Time Glider 300.6"

 

He knocked on a near-by door and left a large box shaped package at the front door.

 

*Voosh*

 

In about half an hour the truck pulled over at a massive factory.

 

Richard and Yamaga jumped out of the truck and looked around. Remundo put his hand into his backpocket and pulled out a silver key. He unlocked a door and walked in. The site was grim..

Everywhere he looked all he could see was dead factory workers. He wanted to know who had done it. But the real answer was waiting for him.

Yamaga looked at the bodies each of them had a code of numbers encrusted on them.

 

"These numbers might all add up, maybe whoever did it used something that leaves a code"

 

"Or maybe their just random numbers" said Richard.

 

"Richie people don't just randomly put numbers on bodies, it's not normal"

 

El Remundo lunged his hand into his pocket and pulled out his mobile phone. 989 he dialed onto his phone.

"Help, come to Cyber Inc located at coordinates 85,67 East Ward, in need of dire help..Workers found dead..repeat dead".

And he closed his mobile as a tear trickled down his face.

The door was forced open and a group of about 20 armed men ran through the door.

"Arrgghh!"

A grey humanoid creature lunged into self towards the man, undaunted by the copper bullets being targeted at him.

 

"I shall suck your inner essence"

 

The man fell to the ground and 1 by 1 small digits began to appear on his body.

 

"Leave him you beast" Remundo lunged his large body at the creature.

 

*Quir*

 

Remundo fell to the ground, it was his end.

 

The creatur began to speak, "Who else wants to face me ?"

 

"Me"

 

A dark-haired girl hovered into the room standing on a purple board.

 

"Woh a Hover Board X.2957 Purple Edition" said Richie

 

"Hover board what ?"

 

"Quite boy's, leave it to the ladies"

 

"Oh little girly how are you gonna beat me ?"

 

"In a duel"

DUEL

They both drew 5 cards. But what was strange was that the creature pulled its duel disk out of it's back.

 

"Wow a duel between two unnamed people- things whatever"

 

"The names Rose"

 

"Get on with it" shouted the creature.

 

"Oh shut up ugly, what did they say when you were born ? It's an it ! " said Rose rather offensively.

 

"That's really hurtful" sobbed the creature.

 

"My turn, I activate Dark Destruction which by 1000 Life Point's allows me too send 3 DARK monsters from my deck to the graveyard."

 

"What's the point ?"

 

"Well know I can Special Summon by Dark Armed Dragon (2800/1000) and now I end my turn."

 

"My turn, I draw, I set 1 monster and play 2 face-down cards."

 

"I draw, and I activate Shadow Armour, it increase my Dragons ATK by 800 for every DARK monster that is removed from play."

 

"But you have none, little girl"

 

"But now I do, I remove all 3 of them from play to destroy all 3 cards on your side of the field. Now my Dragon has 5200 ATK points. Now Dark Armed Dragon, attack it's Life Points directly."

 

"Not so fast, I activate my Supreme Battle Guards (100/2500) effect, by removing it from play I can halve the damage I take."

 

"You might not be finished but I have the lead !"

 

"Their is no lead in this game until victory !"

 

"I end my turn"

 

Rose - 4000 LP

 

???? - 1400 LP

 

"Prepare to be wiped out, I activate...."

 

The card began to glow and large mass of energy was exerted from it.

Yamaga ducked down and he pulled Richard down. The energy from the card hit the walls missing Richard and Yamaga by a few inches, smashing the wall.

 

"Oh my."

 

"Haha, you shall face defeat at the hands of the greatest Xenothorpe general, you must be honoured !"

 

"Honoured to face defeat at the hands of my enemy BAH, maybe I will if you were going to defeat me - which is pretty unlikely !"

 

"Don't you dare"

 

The card glowed powerfully, sending waves of energy towards the walls and with every blow the factory became more and more unstable.

 

"See the numbers on your friends, each and everyone of them fuels my power and the more power I have the more devastating it will be to face defeat !"

 

"You sick thing !"

 

"Ha, you angered me. Now activate Invasion of the Galaxy !"

 

Large holographic ships began to appear.

 

"These resemble the Xenothorpes fleet" It bellowed.

 

"Be careful Rose", shouted Yamaga and Richard in unison.

 

"Haha, now I flip a coin, if heads I lose if tails you take damage equal to your dragon's ATK."

 

Everyone looked in fear as the ships aimed their cannons at Rose, it was all in one flip of a coin, how could it end like that.

 

The coin suspended in the air began it's fall..

Short review: Confusing.

 

Long review: The plot is not well described, neither is the setting. A total lack of environmental and character description makes me wonder how everyone looks, really. The first chapter is also a little confusing by itself, (mostly by the lack of descriptions) and also that Yamaga recognizes his friend's... grandson? seems strange. I'll cut you some slack on the Spelling/Grammar (You've done that quite well, but there are flaws) since you're only ten.

 

Tips: Write descriptions in the text. Not only does it make the chapters a little longer, it also makes it easier to read and understand.

Infinite Code (2) : The Xenothorpe's End

*Voosh*

The coin steadily and slowly hurtled closer to the ground

Yamaga stared above him as the coin was falling, it was grim, the shiny golden coin looked as if it was going to land on tails.

Richard froze in the suspense. But Rose was undaunted by the fact. Yamaga had an idea, he lowered his hand and got hold of his deck holder. He opened it and took out his deck. He browsed through it and grabbed his Blue-Eyes Cybernetic Dragon.

"Yamaga this is no time to look at your cards !" shouted Richard

 

"Oh it'll help !" replied Yamaga.

 

*(FLASHBACK)The Xenothorpe held the card and bundles of energy which had accumalated inside shot out, slamming into the wall and Yamaga ducked down*

 

Yamaga forced his energy into the card, it began to glow, but only by a small amount. Yamaga's idea was unsuccesful. Was the Xenothorpes card that much powerfuller ?

Rose smiled, she knew it was not over. *Ting* the coin fell. The large dragon shrunk in size.

"Fool, don't you know that Shadow Armour's effect is negated during my opponent's turn."

*Rose Life Points dropped down to 1200 and the large dragon blew up*

"You are the fool to leave yourself wide upon with only 1200 Life Points"

 

Rose took the fact lightly but she knew that it was true she had no cards that could help her in the situation.

Rose slowly reached to her deck and drew the top card. She smiled as she saw the card, Shadowdust Dragon (2600/1900) a counterpart of a card that is now legenderary. She thought if she won the duel she could make her card legendary.

"I remove my Dark Armed Dragon, now I Special Summon Shadowdust Dragon."

 

"Ha, I am no stranger with this card - you cannot attack on the first turn it was summoned."

 

"Well, you wait !" said Rose as she looked at the large black dragon in the air.

 

The large Xenothorpe, savagely pulled a card from the top of his thick deck, if he was going to lose it was deffinately not going to be because of running out of cards. A smile grew on it's face as it twisted the card in it's hand. It placed it face up on the field in attack position and in magnificent gold writing it was written at the top of the card, Frontal Assualt Cannon. With a staggering 1800 ATK and a safe 1300 DEF this monster was a threat but not because of it's stats but because of it's effect.

 

"By discarding 2 monster cards from my hand this card allow's me to increase it's ATK by the mean of the 2 discarded monsters"

The humanoid cannon's ATK plummeted to 2950.

Rose felt mortifyed. She had lost her abundance of hope, accumilating in side of her was sadness.

 

"Now my cannon, Murder Missile !"

The large grey missiles projected from the monster swiftly flew towards the dragon. It was the first time Rose had a chance to portray her dragon but it wasn't going well, destroyed on the turn it was summoned.

*Boooooooom*

The dragon exploded into nothing decreasing Rose's Life Points by 350.

It was Rose's turn and she had to stand up for herself. Her hand crept on to her duel disk and picked up a card. It was her last chance. She placed the card face-down and hoped things will all go to plan.

 

"Haha prepare to encounter defeat, I activate Power Play, I increase my Life Point's by 800 times my monsters level, making 3200 and now my Life Points are at 4600 !"

This was a blow to Rose's plan, she just hoped it could pull through for her.

 

"I activate Frontal Draw which allows me to draw 2 cards if I control a Frontal monster, then I discard the 2 monsters I drew to use my Frontal Assualt Cannon's effect and I increase it's ATK to 4550 ! Now attack her Life Point's directly !"

"Not so fast, I activate Magic Cylinder, causing you to lose 4550 Life Point's, leaving you with 50 !"

"Argh the pain !" the Xenothorpe cried as the missiles crashed into him.

Rose laughed, "I had the lead but you took it from me but look at you now ! Just pathetic"

 

"The Xenothorpes shall prevail !"

 

"In your dreams !"

 

"You scarred my Life Points but you cannot scarr my pride !"

Rose drew a card, I activate Destructive Storm, by paying half of my Life Point's I can destroy all monsters on your side of the field, destroying your Frontal Assualt Cannon !"

 

The cannon blew up leaving it's dismantled pieces lying on the ground.

"Now I summon Chaos Cat (200/300) don't let it's cute looks fool you, it's more than enough to take you down, ATTACK !

The small cat pounced on the Xenothorpe reducing it's Life Point's to 0.

END OF DUEL

"Rose you have won my respect !" said the Xenothorpe.

"Well thankyou" replied Rose

"Your...w.e..l....."

The large creature fell to the ground. Stading outside of the factory holding a small golden tourch, somebody stood. His only way of seeing inside was through the window directly infront of him, which had a crack on it. Yamaga looked out of the window to see who it was but the figure ran away before he could see.

About 3 days had past since the incident. Yamaga, Richard and Rose all dressed in black stood clumped next together at the funeral of the many dead factory workers and El Remundo. Many people sobbed as the payed their respect to the great people. The 27th century was usualy a happy place but now it was mourning.

Rose didn't know if she felt sad for the Xenothorpe, it was killed but it killed many others. Yamaga put his arm on her shoulder and said, "We will pull through this".

The grieving was over and everyone pulled themselves together but was it going to be enough. Yamaga, Richard and Rose knew their was an assasin on the loose.

"Yamaga we need to stay safe and hide from the assasin so you can find your father." said Richard

"What find your father ? I'm always ready for a good challenge. I'll help you !"

"Thanks you guys"

Yamaga, Richard and Rose went to Richard's father's house to stay. Yamaga spent his night thinking who the assasin was. Could it be someone he knew ? He doubted it but in the future everything was a possibility. If it was likely, Yamaga had to wait and see.
