LIFEPOINTS MATTER!

ATK MATTERS!

STOP SAYING THEY DON'T

WOULD CHIMARATECH FAIL IF ITS ATK WAS 100?!

WOULD MONARCHS BE RIGGED IF THEY HAD 300 MORE ATK?!

WOULD IT BE BAD IF YOU HAD 1000 LP AND YOUR OPPONENT HAD 100000?!

YES!

YES!

YES!

STOP SAYING THAT ITS NOT!

ALL AGREED THAT LIFEPOINTS AND ATK MATTERS?!

They matter, alright. They're the difference between being able to use RftDD and not being able to. And all kinds of other things. LP costs aren't major, but they aren't totally insignificant.

Return uses half your LP.

you could have 1 LP and use RftDD.

Oh, wait, that's right, I'm such an old geezer of a 12-year-old that I remember when playing YGO required skill. Shame on me, and even more on this crappy format. No, LPs don't matter anymore, all that matters is luck. My bad.

You can't use RftDD when you have 1 LP. You can never have 1/2 a life point and you must pay at least 1 LP to use RftDD.

actually

imma dissagree with the pros here

every duel that hasnt been a ss deck and somone has used soulem and half their lp THATS the one thing that made me win EVERYTIME

and attack does matter and effects to matter equally, it just depends on your strategy

and comparing EVERYTHING to dad isnt a good comparison, a guy at my locals made a point the only reason dad won sj is because EVERYONE was running it

lp does matter to an extent

attack

matters to an extent

effects matters to an extent

comparing EVERYTHING to dad is ok to an extent okay

chimeratech with 10000000000000000 atk points vs facedown man eater bug

who wins?

there woudn't be a f/d bug 'cause you would attack face up monsters or not summon chim.

lets say you were in this situation

Your hand: Overload fusion

Your grave: just about every machine monster known to man

Your life points: 400

Your opponent's side of the field: 1 face down monster (maneater bug)

Your opponents life points: 100

Who wins? obviously, this situation is more than likely NOT gonna happen... if it does, your probably doing something wrong...

even if this situation doesn't happen, maneater bug STILL kills chimeratech... you just probably wouldn't summon chimeratech untill that pesky bug was dead...

DAD is ridiculous. However, you are correct in saying that DAD shouldn't be our standard for a good card. In this format, anything that doesn't belong in a DAD Return deck isn't worth playing. (Well, with LOTD, Lightsworn decks are actually better in my opinion.)

In other words, UDE needs to start prepping the ban-cannon.

I didn't think H heated heart was run in most decks 0_o

and of course you wouldn't attack a facedown... but in the situation that I came up with, You wouldn't have much of a choice (it would be a facepalm moment XD)
