My first fan fic: "Virtues of Malevolence"

Well, hello everybody. Most of you know that I personally do not like fan fics, BUT, I have finally decided to make a fan fic. I would like to think that I also have a good idea too ^_^

 

So, without further ado, here is the idea and first episode:

 

[spoiler=Idea] The story takes place in the USA, in the year 2043. The economy has gotten better, but the rest has not. There are still many deaths. There are way too many people without work. People are suffering all the time. While the government has done it's best to improve the situation, it has not been able to do enough to save its people. This is the life we live in now, and it only gets worse in the future. While this seems bad, people continue there every day lives. But there are the few people that have a grudge against the world for the pain it has caused them...

William - Main character

Deck: Omega Chaos

Attitude: Cold hearted at times, caring at others. Keeps to himself.

 

 

So, here we are the first chapter, I really do hope you enjoy it ^_^

 

[spoiler=Episode 1, "Introduction into Malevolence"]

The air in the night was cold. As people turned there lights out, resting up for the new day to come in just a matter of hours, there were people still awake, hoping to find a warm place to sleep. As many just slept on the benches, and on the grass, some decided to stay awake. Others passed the time by playing games. One of the popular games played by the children was yu-gi-oh! On this night, for one child, the world as he knew it was about to end.

 

William was walking on a city sidewalk, thinking of what has happened to his life.

William: "Why am I out here? Why is it that with all the wealth this country has, and the wealth many people have, is it that I cannot have the money to find a decent place to sleep?"

 

He decided to sit on the sidewalk, and think. Eventually, he decided to look at his Yu-gi-oh! Deck. Until just recently, he had lived in a good home, with a good family. He slept in a warm bed, and had a good life. Now, all he had left to remember that time was the few cards he had in his hand this moment.

 

He got up and started walking to the park. He got to the middle, where nobody would find him, and fell asleep.

He awoke to a sudden flash of light.

Once the flash subsided, he saw something that he would think would not cause a flash. Yu-gi-oh! cards.

William: "This is what woke me up? This is weird, how did THOSE make such a bright flash?"

As he looked through the cards, he soon realized that many of these cards were never made.

William: "How are these cards? They have to be fake, they just have to."

But as he looked, he noticed that they where real, they had nothing wrong with them. Nothing was fake about them.

 

So, hours later, he had made a deck out these new cards. He wanted to test them. But nobody was ever able to duel.

But eventually, he found somebody. This person was a complete stranger to him.

Stranger: "I noticed a flash here. I was asleep. Why did you wake me up!?"

William: "I did not cause the flash, and, why should I care if your beauty sleep?"

Stranger: "Ha, acting smart? Well, can you back it up? Wanna duel?"

William: "Yeah, why not? I need to test these new cards anyway"

 

Duel!

 

William: "I'll go first!

I draw one card from my Deck.

...

I summon a monster in face down in Defense Position.

I end my turn by placing 3 cards face down.

Your turn."

 

Stranger: "Fine, I draw.

I play tribute to the doomed. By discarding one card from my hand, I can destroy your monster."

 

In an instant, a hole appeared underneath the card. A Sangan appeared. It was instantly mummified, and dragged down into the hole.

 

William: "Well, you destroyed my Sangan, so I get to search my deck for a monster with 1500 ATK or less.

...

I pick this card, Omega Dragon,

Continue with your turn."

 

Stranger: "Fine, I summon Skilled Dark Magician in attack mode!

Magician, attack my opponent's Life Points directly!"

 

The magician did as he was told, and rushed at William, with its staff ready to attack. He let out a dark beam at William.

 

William: "Ha, not so fast. I activate Dimension Wall!"

 

The beam from the monster went through a break in a seemingly new dimension, and just then, a hole appeared in front of the stranger. The magicians beam hit the stranger instead of William.

 

William's LP: 8000

Strangers LP: 6100

 

Stranger: "Gaa, I play one card face down, go..."

William: "Gladly, let me show you how it is done.

I play Graceful Charity. I draw 3 cards from my deck, and then discard 2 from my hand.

...

I discard these 2 cards.

I play one card face down. I activate 1 of my face down cards, Wave motion cannon."

I giant cannon rose from the ground, and was pointed right at the stranger.

"Go"

 

Stranger: "That was supposed to show me how it is done? Ha!

I summon another Skilled Dark Magician.

Now, my first magician, attack him directly!"

Again, the magician sent a dark beam to will.

 

William: "Are you really that dumb? Wait, bad question, I already knew you where, my bad. I activate my trap, Des Counterblow! All cards that attack directly are removed from play."

 

Stranger: "Grrr, well, you still lose 1900 life points"

William's LP: 6100

Stranger's LP: 6100

 

William: "I draw a card.

I start by playing a card face down.

"Now I play card destruction.

We both discard our hands into the Graveyard and draw the same amount of cards that we drew.

I draw 1 card.

 

I now play soul release. I remove 5 cards from my grave from play.

Now I flip my face down card, Omega Restoration.

I get to get my Omega dragon back to my hand at the cost of 2000 LP, and put 4 cards that are removed from play to the graveyard.

I remove from play 4 dragon monsters from my graveyard now, 2 light, 2 dark, and Summon my Omega Dragon!"

 

A giant hole appeared in front of William. Then, a gigantic, dark dragon rose from the hole.

 

William's LP: 4100

Stranger's LP: 6100

William: "The ATK and DEF of Omega Dragon is the number of cards that are removed from play, x 700! My dragon has 4200 ATK.

Also, that was a Special Summon, so, I now Summon D.D Assailant.

I now activate my wave motion cannon, inflicting 1000 Damage to your Life points.

William's LP: 4100

Stranger's LP: 5100

"Now, assailant, attack his Magician."

 

The warrior took out its sword and rushed to the magician, but the magician let out a dark beam, and destroyed it. But then, as soon as that happened, a dark hole appeared behind the monster. It was sucked in.

 

William's LP: 3700

Stranger's LP: 5100

Stranger: "What happened? My magician had more ATK than your card!"

 

William: "Simple, when a monster destroys assailant, both of them are removed from play. That increases the ATK of my dragon to 5600.

Now may dragon, finish this duel, Attack him directly!"

 

The dragon fired a gigantic black ball at the stranger, and it struck him.

 

William's LP: 3700

Stranger's LP: 0

 

As soon as the Stranger's LP hit 0, a hole appeared behind him. Out of it came a black hand. It pulled the stranger in, and the hole closed.

 

William: "What was that? Wait a second...If that is what happens when I win a duel with these cards..."

An evil look soon came over Williams face

"I can do anything I want, nobody can stop me. All I have to do is beat somebody, and they die, or at least go somewhere else. I have all the power!"

Well, I hope you all enjoyed that. I will be making chapter two soon, so, I really do hope you enjoy this.

Um, in the world you just described as the setting, life is not dominated by dueling, so not many people would play card games, especially a certain type of card game, and even less would meet this kid. Thus, unless you change the backstory, he has very little power.

 

Oh, yay! I can kill people by beating them in a duel! Now, let's see - in my area, there are about 20 people who play Yugioh at the club I go to most mondays. Applying this to that world, considering that it's in a bad state, that means in an area like mine, about 5 people would play.

 

So this guy has the power to kill five people. Whoopie. Make it four including him, and three considering he just killed one, and you have a very short story.

Ah, but there will be no change is backround. There will be an explination of that sentance in the next episode ;)
