Gragonith, Lightsworn Dragon : Discussion

1 tribute, piercing effect and it's ATK can get so high it isn't even funny.

i say Limited, this can win you the game as soon as it hits the field.

Here is a combo i thought of, get Judgment Dragon out and say you have like 5-6 lightsworns in the graveyard and perhaps 1-2 on the field, then pay 1000 life points to clear the field then tribute Judgment Dragon to get this monster and it will have say 2000 ATK + 1800 ATK if you have at least 6 monsters in your graveyard making it have a total of 3800 ATK points which can easily make you win in like 2 turns.

Discus.

Yep, this guys incredibly high atk is not even lol anymore.

But limited, I donno.

Anyways, it's worthless to tribute your JD for this, you should not win in 'like two turns', the turn that JD hits the field must be the turn that you win.

The combo should be 'Activate Beckoning Light to discard your hand for 3 JDs while your graveyard is filled, then win the game in that same turn'.

Beckoning Light is the new Dimension Fusion.

Also, 5-6 LS in grave is not much, you can expect like 12-15 LS in grave in a few turns.

A key card in Lightsworn decks for sure' date=' was it really smart of UDE/Konami to keep Him as a common? Who knows, but this guy on His own can do some serious damage before JD even hits the field. Helpful? I think so.

Hmm, the reason maybe that it wasn't used so extensively in OCG Lightlord decks.

It maybe a surprise, but summoning 2 JD's (happens quite a lot) and normal summoning a Lightlord is pretty much enough to finish the game, so a lot of people don't run Gragonith. Also, Celestia is used over Gragonith in most cases.

I wonder which of the two mid-level Lightsworns will be popular in the TCG. It's so fun looking at difference in trends between the TCG and OCG.

I am using him as a substitute, until I can get some of the harder to get LS. At first he was just filler, but recently I have been able to get him to be a 4100 attacker by turn 2 easy...

...but I will still probably replace him with Celestia, when I can get my hands back on one...

Well, Celestia isn't needed if you run JD anyways, but besides that there is no really downside compared to Gragonith. Well, except the fact that she has less atk, but like you said, they're both not needed if you're going for game with JD.

I think that they both won't be used much, until the time comes that the main problem will be anti-meta and when you will see cards like Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo and Royal Oppression lot, if that time ever comes. In that case, it would be Celestia.

I love how everyone seems to be evaluating this guy based on how he works with Judgment Dragoon' date=' when anyone can see that Judgment Dragoon needs to be banned.

Once Judgment Dragon gets banned, then we will discuss how well he works with other cards, until then I see no reason we shouldn't be evaluated on how he works with Judgment Dragon, even if Judgment Dragon should be banned

If you're discussing a card's brokenness, you must discuss it in the proper context. If there was a card that let you draw 10 extra cards when Pot of Greed was activated, would that card be banworthy?

True, but we are not all simply putting him up against JD...

Assuming that Judgment Dragon is dealt with (As it should be), I think Lightsworn decks will run 3 each of this card and Celestia. Even without the OTK, they're still playable. (At least now they are, with D-Fusion banned and Return at one, the format has slowed down enough to give Zombie-paced decks a second coming.)

True...very true...

Anyway...its funny how they call it a dragon when it should be called a Pegasus or at least a Winged Horse instead of a dragon...(since it looks like a horsie with wings!)

hmmm... odd art...

good card' date=' but limited?? i don't think so... because if the piercing damage and the pumping ATK effect makes it lmit worthy, why not limit parshath and ban neo-parshath??

[/quote']

>_<

but it gains ATK from the number of LS and there must be at least 10 in your Graveyard and with the piercing effect that's just sick.
