Planet Earth. Year 3098.

Dueling is a way of life but the legendary Golden Duel Disk has been stolen. This duel disk was the award Jesse Anderson recieved for defeating Yugi Motou. But as the years passed everyone became restless and the Golden Duel Disk is now out of date. But workers at Kaiba Corp have created a new high-tech duel disk but only 1 person can win it, in the search to find the King of Games !

Chapter 1 - The Tournament

Chapter 1 - The Tournament

"Jin, come back !" shouted Jenny.

Jin ran speedily towards the Kaiba Corp building and looked at the massive poster at the top of the silver doors. 'New Tournament', Jin walked through the large pair of doors and leaned over to speak to the acountant.

 

"Hey can I sign up for the tournament ?", Jin asked.

 

"Sure you can, what is your name ?"

 

"Jin Castor", he replied.

 

"Ok" she said and she wrote Jin's name on a sheet of paper.

 

Jenny gasped as she ran through the large pair of silver doors and she gazed at Jin signing his name onto a sheet of paper.

 

"Hey Jin what are you doing ?"

 

"I'm signing up for a new tournament " said Jin.

 

"Woh, I'm signing aswell" said Jenny estaticly.

 

And Jenny signed up to the tournament. Miraculously, when Jin and Jenny walked out of the building a limozine pulled up near the tree adjascent to the public phonebox and the door slowly slid open. Jerome Kaiba, a boy about the same size as Jin wearing a white clothes with KC inprinted on his shirt in gold, walked out of the limozine and pushed Jin out of the way.

 

"Hey Jerome, stop being a jerk !" Jin shouted.

 

"Ooo, I'm hurting your feelings am I ? Well get over it !" said Jerome rudely.

 

Jerome slamed open the silver doors and leaned over to speak to the acountant.

 

"Has the tournament been set ?" he asked.

 

"Yes boss, everything is starting in 30 hours " she replied.

 

"Excellent, 30 hours till I begin my search for the king of games - but I don't have to look very far as I'm right here, hahaha" chuckled Jerome.

28 hours 34 minutes later. Jin ran up the stairs with a piece of buttered toast in his mouth. He grasped the door knob for his bed room and twisted it open. He gulped down the piece of toast and picked up his hairbrush and combed his hair whilst looking at the mirror directly infront of him. Then he put on his coat and pulled the zip upwards sealing it until the opposite happens.

 

"Bye mum, bye dad !" said Jin and he ran out of the house. Jenny was waiting outside.

 

"Hey Jin, we need to speed up to get to the boat"

 

"Oh man, I wish I was old enough to drive a D-Wheel !" groaned Jin.

 

"But you're not so we've gotta make do with our legs"

 

They both ran along to the boat dock. An enourmos crowd of duellists were crowding around the large white Kaiba Corp boat all eager to get in. As the time came, Jin stepped into the boat and got handed a Duel Pass which allowed him to stay on the island, where they shall be heading. Half way acros the atlantic ocean, a helicopter flew over the boat and dropped down a ladder made of rope and Jerome climbed down and went inside the boat.

 

"Welcome fellow duellists, I hope you enjoy your stay and get ready to..DUEL !" shouted Jerome.

The crowd cheered wildly but Jenny stared suspiciously at Jerome. Whilst everyone was speaking to each other a large brown haired man wearing a red sleeveless top walked over to Jin.

 

"Hey, my name is Jack" he said.

 

"Cool my name is Jin" he replied.

The boat came to a halt at a large lush island and the passengers ran out like a headless chicken. Meanwhile, Jerome was nowhere to be found on the boat. Jerome was standing in the middle of a forest speaking to a group of duellists.

 

"Take this and make sure you beat everyone one of them accept me !" said Jerome and he handed them a large sum of money.

 

"Sure boss" replied the hooded man and he stuffed the notes into his pocket.

Jin and Jenny were browsing around the island looking for opponent's, Jin saw the perfect opponent, a green haired girl.

 

"Let's duel !"

 

"Gladly" she replied.

 

DUEL !

Jin : I draw six cards and I set one monster. Then I set 3 face-down Spell or Trap Cards.

*The holographic images rose up on the field.*

 

Shana (name of girl): Oh what a boring move. I draw a card and activate Mystical Space Typhoon and I destroy the face-down.

 

Jin : Which one ?

 

Shana : The one nearest to your left !

 

The card blew up and Jin picked it up and placed it in his Graveyard.

 

Shana : Then I summon my Blade Wielding Beast (1900/1200) and I attack your face-down card !

 

The large beast lifted up it's swords and cut the face-down card in to pieces.

 

Jin : Oh no my monster. *Life Points decrease by 1200* oh no why are my Life Points decreasing ?

 

Shana : Did I mention it inflicts piercing damage ?

 

Jin : Oh man ! She's got a card that inflicts peircing damage aswell ! Damn it !

 

Outside of Duel

"Now my Dark Armed Dragon (2800/1000) finish him !" shouted the hooded man.

The large dragon smacked down his opponent, decrease the man's enemies's Life Points to 0.

 

"Ok you win here are the points"

 

"Haha, thankyou very much" he said as he snatched the points from him.

 

Back In Duel

 

Jin : Now it's my turn. I draw then I play Future Fusion to send 3 Hunter Dragon (1700/100) and 2 Decoy Dragon (300/200) to the Graveyard. Now I activate Dr..

 

Outside of Duel

"Oh you've already defeated won of them, welldone my minion !" said Jerome as he praised the hooded man.

 

"Thankyou my boss" the hooded man replied.

It's easy just guess what card Jin was going to use and if you're right you win a rep. But don't post in this thread just PM me ! Goodluck all and remember the first two letters of the card are 'Dr'.

Since Jin is using a dragon deck...

And conducted a fusion by future fusion to summon a fusion type monster!

note: Future Fusion requires you to wait for your second standby phase to summon that fusion monster!!! and sooo!!! to make it!!! quick!!! by removing the monsters you sent to the graveyard from play You can summon the fusion type monster you need! to the field without waiting for your 2nd standby phase!!!

So the card Jin used is none other than!!!

TADAA!!!! I SOLVED IT!!! ITS!!!!!

"Dragon's Mirror"!!!

Effect: Remove from play, from your side of the field or your Graveyard, Fusion Material Monsters that are listed on a Dragon-Type Fusion Monster Card, and Special Summon that Fusion Monster from your Fusion Deck. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon).

 

While "Future Fusion"'s effect is

EFFect: Send, from your Deck to the Graveyard, Fusion Material Monsters that are listed on a Fusion Monster Card, and select that 1 Fusion Monster from your Fusion Deck. Special Summon the selected Fusion Monster during your 2nd Standby Phase after this card's activation. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon.) When this card is removed from the field, destroy that monster. When the monster is destroyed, destroy this card.

Plot

Nicely presented, especially with the graphics. However, the plot speeds up quite fast, the tournament starts and pretty much the entire first duel ends in just a single chapter. I suggest you slow things down for now. And also, by a millenia passing, I'd think the technology has passed way beyond Duel Disks. Not a complain; Simply an idea of what you have to play with.

 

Structure

Nicely done with the graphics. On the other hand, the rest needs to improve. You could use some more descriptions. (You have some, but most of this is dialogue) One thing I've noticed is that you space between a sentence and a question/exclamation mark, which isn't supposed to be done. I'm normally against the whole "said" format, but if you want to use it, that's fine by me.

 

Rating

As the fan-fic has just started, I won't be too harsh on the rating. I'll give it a 59%.

Thankyou and 59 is better then last time. But yeh Old Skool dueling is fun.

Thanyou and yeh but the duel disks are super cool and yeh I am kinda new to writing well not new but you know I am not as good seeing as I'm only 10.

Chapter 2 - Dragonic Destruction

 

 

Back In Duel !

Jin : Dragon's Mirror ! to Fusion summon my almighty, Infernal Hunter Dragoon (??/??) and I as 5 dragons were used to Special Summon it, its ATK becomes 3500. For every card used to summon it I can place 1 Dragoon Counter on it ! And by removing 1 counter from the card I destroy your Blade Wielding Beast and inflict 500 points of damage to your Life Points !

 

The large beast exploded into oblivion and Shana's Life Points decreased.

 

Jin lifted his hand in to the air and averted it so that it was pointing towards Shana, and he clicked his fingers. At that moment the large multi-headed beast flung open it's mouths and an array of beams shot out. Shana had been defeated, it was barely a duel more of a slaughtering.

End of Duel !

Shana saw a strange side of Jin, even though she only knew him for a few moments she knew something was wrong. His attitude changed at the moment he clicked his fingers - was their more going on in the mind of Jin ?

The smoke from Infernal Hunter Dragoon's blast began to clear and Jin was standing still, with an emotionless look on his face and Shana was on the ground, all her cards were on the floor and her duel disk was no longer what it used to be - it was distorted during the instant in which the dragons blast had wiped half of it straightof her arm. What was left on her arm was not a a site the faint hearted will dare to look at. What had begun as a 1 person crowd (Jenny) quickly grew to a vast amount of spectators.

Jin looked around him to see many people gasping in total amazement not only did he completely innahilate Shana but the card he used to do so was extremely rare and was reserved to those of luxurious and exclusive backgrounds. How had Jin obtained such a powerful card ?

The power circulating inside of Jin was immense but the crowd had lost interest and began to turn away.

 

"Jin you never told me you could do that " said Jenny.

 

"Do what ?!" asked Jin.

 

"Well a dazzling array of lights were coming from you and this strange mark appeared on your face !"

 

"Can we speak of a different matter !"

Jin began to feel as if he shouldn't have come to the tournament as what just begun as a bit of fun turned to a large spectacle in which he was just a pawn of the crowd. Jin sighed at carried on looking for an opponent.

A strange looking duel disk was lying on the floor and Jin began puzzling over it's look. This was not a duel disk he was familiar with.

He picked it up and began browsing it's feature, it was out of date and inside it was a card, 'Obelisk The Tormenter', Jin laughed. The card was considered the one of the best cards in the game. But it had no effect printed on to it, Jin ripped the card up.

 

"Yugi was a fool ! How could have used this piece of trash !"

 

Jin had angered Obelisk and a large blue, muscular creature arose from the card !

A spectrum of golden lights began to shine from Jin, hologram or spirit, one thing was true - Jin wasn't scared of it. The golden lights forced the spirit back into it's card prison.

Since the age of 6 Jin had an ability. He could speak to his monsters and for that he obtained an unimaginable force. He had won many duels during his life thanks to his ability but thats why he had only one friend - Jenny. His friends, at the time, would lose to him and out of fright from his ability they all abandoned Jin and called him a freak. Jerome used to be a friend of Jin until they had gotten into an argument which resulted in Jerome greatly offending Jin, consequently unleashing the true wrath of Jin's force. It was a subject he would not usualy speak of and he would have been taken away to be experimented on by Duel Scientists but his parents pledged to keep his power refrained. Sometimes when Jin was angered bursts of this ability will be unleashed.

Jerome was speaking to the hooded man, "Have you defeated more ?!"

 

"Yes boss, I have obtained 30 points !"

 

"Welldone, maybe one day you could become famous for what you're doing right now !"

 

"No boss I wish for my life to stay as it is"

 

"Well that is your choice but for doing such a wonderful job I shall award you with this card "

 

Jerome handed a card to the hooded man.

 

Jin hard an ear shattering crash and a large blue spectrum of light rose from the ground, not far from him. Jin ran towards the scene. It seemed their was somebody else like him but this other person wasn't on his side. The one responsible for the crash was wearing baggy jeans and a green zip-up coat. At that moment a golden mark appeared on his face, this person was much like Jin and he rivalled his power. The man wearing the coat was named Yakatori. Yakatori used his power to demolish his surroundings, Jenny ran infront of a Yakatori and asked him to stop doing what he was doing. But he didn't listen and shot a beam of energy at Jenny - but what was amazing was that the beam was nowhere near his ultimate power, even a fraction of his energy could dent a piece of steel.

Jenny screamed as the beam raced towards her.

"Leave her alone" shouted Jin.

 

"Make me"

 

"Gladly !"

 

The two activated their duel disk and prepared to duel. Both Jin and Yakatori were going to unleash the full force of their power during this duel and sparks of energy filled the air.

I hope everyone enjoyed this ep, and no the bit about Obelisk wasn't random as it integral to the plot and all will be revealed soon.
