Army Ants [New Series]

This is a series of Level 1 FIRE Insect monsters who are weak individually but their effects stack so 3 of the same card on the field can be devastating. I know I want Link monsters based on Army Ranks (Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Commandant) but I haven't decided their effects yet.

G.I.ANT CombatANT - FIRE Insect * 400/400

Gains 800 ATK for each "G.I.ANT CombatANT" you control.

G.I.ANT BombardmANT - FIRE Insect * 400/400

During the End Phase, if this card didn't attack this turn: Inflict 400 damage to your opponent for each "G.I.ANT BombardmANT" you control.

G.I.ANT AssailANT - FIRE Insect * 400/400

This card can attack directly. This card can make an attack during each Battle Phase for each "G.I.ANT AssailANT" you control. When this card inflicts battle damage: You can shuffle 1 Insect monster from your GY into your deck.

G.I.ANT PostulANT - FIRE Insect * 400/400

If this card is sent to the GY by a card effect: Special Summon 1 Level 1 Insect monster from your Deck, and if you do, Special Summon as many copies as possible of that card from your hand and/or GY. You cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except Insect monsters.

G.I.ANT InfiltrANT - FIRE Insect * 400/400

If this card is Summoned: Send 1 Level 1 Insect monster from your Deck to the GY, and if you do, replace this card's name and effect with the original name and effect of that monster.

G.I.ANT ReinforcemANTS - Continuous Spell

Each time you Normal Summon a Level 1 Insect monster, you can activate 1 of the following effects.
● Add 1 card with the same name as the Normal Summoned monster from your Deck to your hand.
● Special Summon as many copies of that Normal Summoned card as possible from your hand.

G.I.ANT ResistANTS - Continuous Spell

Level 1 Insect monsters cannot be destroyed by battle. While you control 2 or more Level 1 Insect monsters with the same name, you take no battle damage from battles involving those monsters. While you control 3 Level 1 Insect monsters with the same name, those monsters cannot be targeted by card effects.

G.I.ANT ConflagrANTS - Normal Spell

Tribute 1 Level 1 Insect monster; Special Summon up to 3 Level 1 Insect monsters from your Deck with the same name but a different name from that target. You cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except Insect monsters. During your next Standby Phase: Destroy all Special Summoned monsters you control.

You gotta love the names. I mean, I gave you a laughing reaction because of that, but I liked the whole set. At any rate, I'm a bit scared with some of the cards, but I'm not saying they're downright OP. For instance, Tributing 1 Insect for ConflagrANTS is pretty negligible, then you summon 3 CombatANTS, each of them with 2800 ATK. Quite the power for a single card, then again, you do good in destroying all your Special Summoned monsters during your next Standby Phase, balancing the whole thing, as you can't simply avoid the destruction by doing an Xyz Summon or something. Actually, unless it was on purpose, I'd recommend making the effect more flexible. Special Summon 3 Level 1 Insects, it says, but I0d go for, "Special Summon up to 3". The card can very much get screwed if you don't have the 3 copies ready in your Deck, and I'm not seeing a shuffle into the Deck effect so far, which btw can be vital for this card of constant swarm strategies. I dunno why I started with the last card, lol, sooo...

CombatANT - Gains 800 ATK for each "G.I.ANT CombatANT" you control.     <---- In this short effect, a couple of things to fix. "This card gains X" is typical usage for many things, but for ATK/DEF, you can right away say Gains YYY ATK/DEF . Also, originally it mentions "for every CombaANT", but here, CombatANT is just this one monster, not the archetype. In other words, you're mentioning 1 particular monster, and imo in that case you should use the full name, including G.I.A.N.T.

BombardmANT - During the End Phase, if this card didn't attack this turn: Inflict 400 damage to your opponent for each "G.I.ANT BombardmANT" you control     <---- again, minor fixes. added this turn, removed points of. Saying damage es enough. Like in the previous case, full card name.

G.I.ANT AssailANT - This card can attack directly. This card can make an attack during each Battle Phase for each "G.I.ANT AssailANT" you control. If this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: Your opponent sends the top card of their Deck to the GY.      <---- Decided to separate the first effect into two sentences. Not 100% sure about the second part, but it should work. Regarding the effect, I'm not too convinced. The milling effect seems a bit out of place in the strategy. Perhaps this is a good opportunity to include the shuffling effect I mentioned earlier. Instead of milling your opponent's Deck, shuffle your own resources (non-mandatory effect). Other decks might want to thin their Decks to draw what they want, but swarming Decks should be ok doing this.

G.I.ANT PostulANT - If this card is sent to the GY by a card effect: Special Summon 1 Level 1 Insect monster from your Deck, and if you do, Special Summon as many copies as possible of that card from your hand and/or GY. You cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except Insect monsters.    <---- More than once in the set, you mention "Insect", just like that, without "monster". Funnily, you use Insect monsters at the end of the card. Deck with Capital D. Oh, and replaced When with If, just 'cause When can miss the timing and If can't.

G.I.ANT InfiltrANT - If this card is Summoned: Send 1 Level 1 Insect monster from your Deck to the GY, and if you do, replace this card's name and effect with the original name and effect of that monster.    <---- Smol fixes similar to those of the above card. Replace is a cool way to write the intended effect. Normally, you "treat" the name as something else, but I said meh, let's include it in the replacement. Perhaps this isn't necessarily correct, but looks good xD. You definitely never "treat" effects as something else, you replace, gain or negate effects.

G.I.ANT ReinforcemANTS - Each time you Normal Summon a Level 1 Insect monster, you can activate 1 of the following effects.
● Add 1 card with the same name as the Normal Summoned monster from your Deck to your hand.
● Special Summon as many copies of that Normal Summoned card as possible from your hand.
<---- And effect that is shouting, Double Summon!

G.I.ANT ResistANTS - Level 1 Insect moooonsteeeers cannot be destroyed by battle. While you control 2 or more Level 1 Insect monsters with the same name, you take no battle damage from battles involving those monsters. While you control 3 Level 1 Insect monsters with the same name, those monsters cannot be targeted by card effects.    <---- Scary protection, but oh well, an MST and it's gone. I imagine you want the effect with 2 monsters to stack with the triple one, so "2 or more". Careful with the semi-colons. We're talking here about continuous effects, so for those, use commas.

G.I.ANT ConflagrANTS - Tribute 1 Level 1 Insect monster; Special Summon up to 3 Level 1 Insect monsters from your Deck with the same name as that target. You cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except Insect monsters. During your next Standby Phase: Destroy all Special Summoned monsters you control.    <---- Suggestion of "Up to" annoyingly added, mwahaha. Btw, when you talk about Tributing, you needn't mention "you control", because if you're Tributing, you can only Tribute stuff you control, UNLESS stated otherwise by the card, in which case you'll see it wording as (even if you do not control it).

Phew, I'm done! And I earnestly believe I deserve a huge and tasty cookie. See ya!

Thank you for the help; cards have now been errata'd. I wasn't sure about AssailANT's secondary ability either but it was actually a toned down version of "Destroy 1 card each time it inflicts battle damage" as I didn't think 3 monsters attacking was enough cost for a board wipe when I knew there would be support to make summoning 3 of them easier. Shuffling probably will help deck so thank you. The only thing I had to say no to was one change you made to ConflagrANTS: you are supposed to summon 3 monsters that share a name but are different from the tributed one. And I originally just had these guys as having ANT at the end which is why so many didn't have "G.I.ANT" in their effects.
