The Greatest Tournament (Act 1)

Sinko, is merely your common 15 year old everyday boy who usually prefers to wear a blue vest and blue jeans along with his blue hair. After getting dressed he hears an ambulance and in total shock he could see smoke near his house.

 

He grabbed his skateboard and rushed to the hospital to see if his little sister, Yuna was all right. As she is only 5 years old, while their mom and dad are gone since they went on a business trip.

 

Sinko runs to the room where his little sister is which takes him at least half an hour to find, he sees her with a bandages around her arms & legs.

 

He asks the Nurse very nervously what’s her current condition. The answer he gets is “She needs her rest. She has 1st degree burns around her arms and legs, but fortunately they aren’t too bad but the hospital's bill is 1500$ to get her the right medicine along with treatments to help the parts of her skin that were badly burned. Also she was burned a bit on the heart which might leave her to death.” said the nurse sadly.

 

Sinko sitting next to his little sisters hospital bed tries not to shed a tear seeing how badly hurt his little sister is.

 

After a hour of wondering what he could to help her. Their was a blimp in the sky flying passed the hospital window that was advertising a tournament being held in domino city hosted by Seto Kaiba himself. With newfound confidence, he grabbed his skateboard to a local store to get his own duel disk & participate in the Tournament.

 

He skates past a girl who reminds him of a childhood friend he knew several years back while not looking where he’s skating as he smacks right into a telephone pole and goes unconscious.

At least 15 minutes past before regaining consciousness, realizing he had to get to the local store or he wont be able to participate, he sets out on his way to the shop as fast as his legs will push him.

 

He makes it there with barely a minute to spare before the deadline and sees that the last duel disk goes to a kid with white hair. He couldn’t believe it, all because he had to accidentally go and hit that dang telephone pole which hurt a lot. He won't even get a shot at the grand prize held by this tournament which is one unique card that is one of a kind but better yet 1500$ as well. He sighs & decides to walk out of the store before he stopped by a hand on his shoulder.

 

“I know what you’re thinking sunny, and yes we actually do have a spare duel disk, but you must defeat me in a duel.” says the old store owner. Sinko is completely surprised that he actually might get a chance to save her.

 

“All right old timer but don’t think I will go easy on you” said Sinko eager to take the old man's challenge on.

 

The old man tosses him an old duel disk; Sinko straps the duel disk on & inserts his deck. They say together at the same time “Duel!”.

 

4000/4000

 

Both Duelists Draw their 5 cards.

 

“I will go first.” says the old man as he draws. “I set a monster and I will set two face-downs ending my turn."

 

Sinko draws and much to his surprise he gets his favorite card in his entire deck. “Okay old timer prepare your self” Said Sinko happily. “I play A Legendary Ocean, which downgrades our monsters that are water by 1 level in our hands, but it also adds 200 Attack & Defense points as well. To follow up with, I will also play Space Mambo.” A fish flies down from the very cold reaches of space into the ancient watery city that seemed be blue covered in types of alien like symbols, 1900/1200. “Now I will have Space Mambo attack your face-down monster.”

 

The space fish attacks the old man face down monster & it turns out to be Stone Statue Of The Aztecs, which the fish gets hit a lot for and swims swiftly back by my side.

 

3800/4000

 

“Done yet whipper snapper?” said the old man being sort of grumpy.

 

“I set 2 face-downs and finish my turn.” said Sinko.

 

The old man draws. “I set another monster in face down defense position & set one more face down ending my turn.” Said the old man.

 

Sinko draws a card from his deck, “I Summon Hydrogeddon & Thanks to A Legendary Ocean’s ability Hydrogeddon gains a extra 200 attack & defense.” A giant brown rippling lizard appears on the field along with Space Mambo. Hydro: 1800/1200, Mambo: 1900/1200.

 

“Hydrogeddon Attack His Face Down!” said Sinko. As Sinko’s Hydrogeddon attacks the face down monster with a blast of pressurized hydrogen, yet unfortunately revealing to be Golem Sentry. “I end my turn” said Sinko disappointed hoping to activate Hydrogeddon's ability.

 

The Old man draws & Looks at what he’s got & sacrifices the sentry to summon Guardian sphinx but sends that to the grave, to special summon from hand Exxod, Master Of The Guard. 0/4000. A giant stone statue rises from the ground of the see and appears behind the old man. “You think you can beat my monster with your deck of droplets?” said the old man taunting Sinko and his Ocean Deck. “Also, just so you don't try any funny stuff I activate one my 3 face-downs, Swords Of Reveling Light. Ending my turn.” Said the old man.

 

Sinko overwhelmed by the towering giant behind the old gets a bit shaky & draws a card & is surprised what he drew.

 

“I cant summon my other dragon of the ocean to defeat this guard, but I have something just as good.” Said Sinko Proudly. “I play cost down and discard Star Boy from my hand to summon without a sacrifice, Levia Dragon Daedalus.” Said Sinko. A giant ocean dragon rises from the depths of the ocean, 2800/1700. “Old Timer, this is my victory.” Said Sinko. “Levia Dragon, I activate your ability & send A Legendary Ocean to the grave to destroy all the cards to the grave expect yourself of course.” Said Sinko. The Levia Dragon Roars sends the cards on the field to the grave. “One card on my side that was sent to the grave was Changing Tides, if sent to the grave by spell, monster effect or trap, it gives one water monster a boost of 1400 attack points but at the end of the turn I receive damage equal to half of the monsters total attack power. That would be for me 2050 damage, along with losing but that wont happen for I attack you directly with Levia Dragon Daedalus.” Said Sinko. As the mighty dragon swam threw the old man & caused 4100lp damage to him. Winning the duel and a duel disk for Sinko along with being a step closer to saving his little sister Yuna’s life.

 

“Well sunny, your all registered up and ready to duel as well.” said the old man who was satisfied with the duel.

Sinko walks out of the store with a single thought on his mind. In Sinkos mind: "Don’t worry Yuna I will save you." As he walks out of the local store searching for his 1st opponent.

 

One day after the tournament started....

 

Sinko lies on the grass while his stomach groans for a morsal even that which would be to small for a mouse. “Oh…if I don’t get some food soon I wont be able to save Yuna.” said Sinko who couldn't bare the pain of his stomach.

 

He passes out from having no food in his stomach. After 20 minutes or so, he remains asleep still, yet the aroma of food next to him wakes him up in a flash as he looks around to see to his surprise that very same girl from yesterday before he bonked his head on the telephone pole.

 

She wore a camouflage jacket along with camouflage pants, some black boots, a black under shirt to go with it. She also had short brown hair & chestnut eyes.

 

“If I told you once I told you a thousand times bring rations!” Said the girl.

 

He sort of scoots back a foot or two. “No way your Niora!? I haven’t seen you for a while.” Said Sinko very suprised.

 

“You’re the same as ever you’re always to soft when you meet people.” Said Niora in a mocking tone.

 

“You would duel everybody no matter where you would go went and would win every duel expect against me.” Said Sinko mocking her.

 

“THAT WAS LUCK ON THE DRAW WATER BOY!” Yelled Niora. Flashing back when they were younger in an Arena at the Junior Championship…

 

Sinko: 100

Niora: 1300

 

Sinko: two cards in hand, 1 face-down, Levia Dragon Daedelus: 2600/1500, Recent card in grave: Waboku.

 

Niora: 0 cards in hand, 2 face-downs, Spell Binding Circle, Y Metal Tank: 3000, Megamorph and recent cards in grave: Limiter Removal, X-Head Cannon.

Turn: Sinko’s

 

Sinko draws a card from his deck and is astonished with a change of expression on what he drew. “Its Over Niora” Said Sinko with a serious look to Niora.

 

“What are you talking about I backed you up into a corner in which you can’t escape.” Said Niora who was very confused.

 

“I play A Legendary Ocean which boosts Levia Dragon Daedelus’s power by 200 attack & defense” said Sinko.

 

Levia Dragon Daedelus: 2800/1500

 

“So what your little serpents got a boost it still isn’t a match for my Tank.” Said Niora

 

2800 vs. 3000

 

”It doest have to be so long as I can use his ability and destroy A Legendary Ocean along with all the cards expect him on the field, which I will do.” Said Sinko.

 

Levia Dragon Daedelus creates a whirlpool & destroys the cards on the field.

“That leaves him with his attack, now attack her directly & win me the duel!” said Sinko as the mighty dragon swims threw Niora for 2600 points of Lp damage damage.

 

“Nooooooooo!!!.” said Niora.

 

“You can have the rare card if you want” Said Sinko nicely like the storm had passed and calm waters returned.

 

Niora accepted the card and remained best friends with him.

 

In the present time where the two are eating rations...

 

“They are filling but they scrape my throat.” Said Sinko rubbing his aching throat.

 

“Just like old times before I went to Duel Camp. You couldn't and still can't handle simple rations.” Said Niora said with a small laugh before taking a bite.

 

The two relaxing on the nice soft grass discussing about old times & forget all about the tournament well Sinko doesn’t forget about his little sister Yuna & her operation.

 

Thirty Minutes past as Sinko and Niora remain happy on this bright sunny day. A couple of sketchy looking goons walk up behind them and pushed Sinko over and try to steal Niora’s Deck, but fails as Sinko tackles the goon trying to steal her deck.

 

“If you want our decks, you must duel both of us. Along with that if you happen to lose you must stop stealing the decks of fellow duelists.” Said Sinko in a serious look as though he was a changed person.

 

Niora mentally says to herself: “this is how he looked a few years back at that tournament, like their was something strange yet ancient within him.”

 

“Fine whatever you say kid.” Replied a red haired spiked goon in a black leather jacket with black boots along with a white under shirt, and blue jeans.

 

“Though if you are both defeated by us, the girl comes with us, got that.” Said a green haired spiked goon wearing exactly the same clothes as his buddy.

 

Niora nods with Sinko it seems reasonable, with a confident look on her face.

Actually, it does not. It has enough of each.

 

However, your main issue is the spelling and grammar. Stuff like "your" instead of "you're" and changing tempus.

Ah right, I suppose that would be my penalty for fixing up a 2-3 year old fanfic, though to be very honest I fixed the fanfic up to the best of my current abilities (and a bit impatient so the grammar I can understand why I missed it). Though I appreciate the constructive criticism :)
