Luna Diviner Posted July 5, 2008 Author Report Share Posted July 5, 2008 Chapter 3 - The Bridge CollapsesThe blackened and dead remains of Simon Connolly’s terrier, Lightspeed (The Fire Dog), was an exciting site for the University Students, even for Jet; nothing had in the last few months that anybody could even consider recalling. It was the type of day when you are just expecting great things to happen; yet it is just a simple day. The so-called saviour of the universe or 'searcher', found the rotting remains of a dead dog, fascinating. Two months earlier and Jet would probably be of in an uncharted part of the Universe, duelling aliens but thanks to Jona he was looking at a dead terrier. Where was Jona, by the way? Probably of somewhere in the Universe, stealing all of his glory.Jet's body erected from the chair, lodged outside facing the dead dog and left to go to his room. Sitting alone in his room, Jet picked up a small knife, but it was quite peculiar as its point just disappeared, the reason was because it was so sharp it was practically invisible. He had never tried what he was attempting before; he was not the type who didn't value life. But he knew one other thing that could damage him in a way that death would be a cure, his soul. Clutching the blade he headed towards his deck, ready to stab his prized card, Razor Wing Dragoon. As the tip of the blade, reached the card, Jet felt the life being ripped out of his body, seconds away from plunging the knife into his entire deck, Jet readied himself.Jet was whisked away from the natural world, he was gliding across space, and he felt no pain despite the lack of oxygen in his surroundings. A blurred vision, starred at Jet like a lion, watching its prey. "Come here, Jet,” asked the blurred figure. Jet moved closer to the being, naive of the consequences that might happen because of his actions, all he cared about was reaching that person. "Jona?""Jet? I've found you, I'm afraid I've got some bad news to tell you." "What is it?" asked Jet. "We found out who X is. He is..B..." The essence of belonging, worth, point was once again ripped out of Jet, the only person that could help him, was...gone. But how? That is what he wanted to know. How did Jona just disappear?Jet heard a loud, thunderous noise. He looked around, the strange space he was in was no longer space, as he glided silently in nothing, he was moving closer and closer to Earth. He looked around him, all the other planets all moving closer towards Earth, even the stars were moving. Then, to the finale. As each of the planets moved closer towards Earth, one of them, unnamed but still leading the others towards Earth.It had finally happened, the leading planet had crashed into the Earth. The Earths core was ripped open, sending cataclysmic waves towards all corners of the galaxy. Many inhabitants of both planets had died, it was in Jet's hand to make sure no more did.As he opened his eyes, Jet found himself inside an enormous space ship. Locked inside a giant, transparent sphere was Jona."Why is he in there?" "I need his power; inside him courses the blood of the true King of Games. He is a descendant of Atem, the Pharaoh of Egypt!” boomed a powerful yet ancient voice. "Who are you?" Jet asked. "I am the destructor of universes. The eradicator of races. But before all of that, I was shunned by my former companions, left alone to wander a deserted land, but now, I have evolved far beyond that of a normal human, I am Infinity X. With the power within Jona, I will become ruler of all of creation!" "You are insane!" "No you are insane to be so blind. To not be able to see the potential within my hands. And now, I banish you from existence!" screamed the dark, unknown figure, currents of dark energy surging through his fingertips and flying towards Jet. Jet stood, he felt no pain nor did he flinch. "How are you still here? You should be dead!" shouted X. The large metallic sphere, cracked open and Jona ran out and instantly grabbed hold of Jet's wrist. "It's time to go!" he shouted as he and Jona were teleported from the space ship to another quadrant of the universe.Jet fell to the ground with a thud, he and Jona had teleported back to Earth. Or was it? Something felt different about this planet, it was half of the planet that had crashed into Earth, desolate yet filled with the dead spirits of its former inhabitants."I'm afraid we're stuck." said Jona. "Can't you just teleport us back?" "No. The only way I could teleport us was by using my bloodline to mould Atem's energy around Infinity X's time powers." "Oh well but who is Infinity X by the way?" "I can't tell." "Why not?" "His real name has a tracker on it, whenever it is used, he will be able to locate us." "This just got a lot tougher!" ------------------------------------------------------------------The plot just got a lot bigger, but it is going to be massive.Sorry for the short episode, it is just to reinvent things.Jet does not hate his life and his cards are still normal, he teleported the seconds the blade reached it. Cornelius AckbridgeDeck : Gigaplant Swarm.An ace duelist, he is world famous for his ability to comunicate with duel monsters, an old friend of Jona he came at just the right moment to lend a helping hand but will he get on with Ace?
