Another "Red" - Red Ruler Armadreggon

You may or may not remember "Red Ravager Dragnarok". It was a card I made a while ago that got some nice reviews. I'm lazy to look the thread up, but it had quite a lot of support too. The original "Red" was this one:

Now I found this pretty nifty art, also done by pamansazz of Deviantart (btw I don't claim ownership of the art and credit is given in place of the edition), and decided to make a counterpart for it. I'll be updating this thread with support cards as well.

Yes, 'tis powahful, but it's 2-Trib and near Nomi. And so is Light and Darkness Dragon, and that one's Semi-Limited. :P

I'm sorry about the early bump, but I had added a new card so I thought I was supposed to warn when I made an update. Apologies. ;)

I love the pics, the artists I got them from are my 2 favourite on deviantart: pamansazz and wen_m. Check out their galleries, they're awesome for making cards. The only problem with wen_m are the not-so-great backgrounds, but the creatures are always amazing.

1st. pretty OP

2nd. VERY OP

3rd. We need a bigger font to describe it's OPness...

1st. Base a deck around this guy which summons stall monsters... pull him out and start destroying your opponents defenses before they can blink. Arch Summoner brings him back when he dies...

2nd. Again, a stall deck w/this guy as trump would destroy. when he is summoned, he destroys your stall cards (which you will no longer be needing) and obliderates your opponent's monsters. then he attacks each turn, meaning the 1st turn is a given 2800 Damage, and chances are your opponent won't have time to retaliate w/and effect monster until you've drawn enough to have 3 cards in your hand. He's perfect circle+aggro+field control.. that's every duelists dream and TCG's nightmare

3rd. Crystal Beast deck. Need I say more? not only that, he can bring back your uber-power monsters...

there's very little sacrifice needed to get these guys out, and their effects are all over the place (aside from the last guy, who's just about the greatest combination with Foolish Burial you're ever gonna get). They look cool and all, but they're not fit for TCG.

1st - Nobody runs stall. Nobody will allow you to have 4 Spells and Traps. Everyone runs Dark Armed Dragon and Judgment Dragon that would obliterate the entire strategy before I even got 2 counters. Besides, and most importantly, Ravager is slow as hell, and as such that's a very situational overpoweredness.

2nd - I'm not sure you understand how Ruler fails to be broken: first, since I have to Tribute 2 monsters to get him out in the first place (disregarding Arch Summoner), the number of cards on my side of the field will be quite diminished when he's finally out. As such, the destruction it causes won't be that huge most of the time. Besides, it'll always be a +0, while some cards out there are +1 reset buttons, since they nuke everything and remain alive, and they're run in threes (cookie if you guess what I'm talking about). Also, nobody destroys cards by targeting. He cannot be targeted by Spells or Traps, but all monsters in the game are destroyed by non-targeting cards like Smashing Ground, Fissure, Torrential Tribute and Mirror Force. So that part of the effect is just a very slight bit of protection. Effect Monsters' effects that are run nowadays... Dark Armed Dragon and Judgment Dragon? When they're out I already lost, so it doesn't matter that it comes back in the End Phase; I'll have lost by then, because if anybody plays DAD or JD and I get a next turn, they're doing it wrong. ;)

3rd - Who would let their opponent have 4 Spells and Traps at any point in the game? Crystal Beasts are indeed the best choice, but since the theme is so useless, it would hardly make an impact: while you have to focus 90% of your Deck on making the Crystal Beasts work, you leave very little room to abuse this guy in the Deck simply because the core theme sucks and would get trounced by Dark, GalBeasts, Lightsworns, Monarchs, etc, on the spot. Admittedly this may well be the most broken of the 3 cards, I might tweak it a bit, but I don't think it's as gamebreaking as it seems. I'll have to somehow test it. ;)

Thanks for the comment! :)

EDIT: Tweaked version up.
