armageddon08
Hi. I need some help for my monarch deck. I like all suggestions, except for "Macro Monarch" and "Full Circle Monarch". This deck is supposed to be a competitive Advanced Format Monarch. Please, no Gadgets or other deck suggestions, I just want a good Monarch deck. Wyhe
why do you the same card in both main & side decks simutantously?

The Dark One
Lol at using Granmarg. Also lol at not maining at least 2 Thestalos.
armageddon08
I didn't main 2 Thestalos because I don't think they do that good in the current format. As for the Granmarg, it's just worth trying out, lol.
The Dark One
No, Granmarg isn't worth trying out. As for the Thestalos, they are probably the most important in this format. They can dump your opponent DAD or Judgment Dragon if you're lucky, or cards like Heavy Storm, Monster Reborn, and Lightning Vortex that never hit the field. armageddon08
When I use Stalos, they just throw away some useless card into the grave. And my opponent always seems to find a way to fill their hand, like with a Disc Commander, or an Allure.
Guest Star
Let's say that you Summon Thestalos on the first turn. What if you discard an opponent's Dark Armed Dragon or Judgment Dragon that could have won them the game on their first turn. In my opinion, you should main 3 Thestalos or main no Thestalos. armageddon08
Lets say I main 3 Stalos. In your oppinion, what should I remove if I did?

armageddon08
I agree with Lord wyhe here. There aren't that many good ways to get a monarch out on the first turn. Also, I heard that some decks run Instant Fusion, and sac the fusion for a monarch. Could that be very competitive in the current format, or is it just a waste of time? littlem101
I like it 8/10 It would be no match for my deck though i rock. nut i like it. if i had it i might use it probably not but cool though.

tonisanoob
YOU BASE -1ING YOUR OPPONENTS HAND BAD ON A FRACTION OF A CHANCE THAT YOURR OPPONENT DECKS 1 PERTICULAR CARD OUT OF LIEK 2000 your getting negged for that as thats the worst logic EVER D : <
The Dark One
Lol at using Reign Beau. (Even Dark World isn't a threat you should be worrying about now.) Also, you'r opponent doesn't exactly get to choose which card he/she dumps. Even if your opponent does have a Disc Commander he doesn't mind getting dumped, that's a 1 out of 5 chance of hitting it on opening turn. Also, if Thestalos follows up on a Trap Dustshoot, and you were smart enough to keep track of how your opponent shuffled his hand, luck is no longer a factor. Benraino
If your playing against a good Dark World Deck, your thestalos won't hit the field.
The Dark One
Why do you think that Monarchs have managed to stay meta until DAD while Dark World hasn't? Monarchs are better.
armageddon08
So, what you people are saying is this: Stalos isn't worth playing, but I should remove Avarice and 2 other Spells/Traps for 3 Solemns?
The Dark One
No, what we're saying (or at least what the people who know what they're talking about are saying) is that you need the following. 0 PoA2-3 Thestalos3 Solemn Judgment/Dark Bribe
armageddon08
About how much is a playset of Bribes, and wouldn't bribes help them draw cards and finish me off more quickly(I know what bribe does).
