armageddon08
I wouldn't put Mausoleum in there, and removing some tributes would be nice. Otherwise, you only need about 5 Traps and 15 Spells, so good luck.
GenzoTheHarpist
Seems pretty well-rounded, no specific strategy.
DestinedCardMaker
Thanks. I only need to tribute for the Phoenix [Added like two secs ago, forgot to include her], Tyrant, Parshath, and the Monarchs.
armageddon08
Agreed Genzo, not really strategically planned. By the way, did you find the Exodia deck?
GenzoTheHarpist
Nope. I did make a half-assed Macro-Monarch though. Not so good though because I had to use crappy monarchs like Mobius instead of good ones like Raiza.
DestinedCardMaker
Weird, I didn't put my Raiza in. o.o Maybe I should focus on like Phoenix Bounce or something, but I only have one Nephthys atm.
armageddon08
Also, take Grinder and Ohka out, as Ohka is destroyed at the end of the turn, and Grinder gives your opponent a powerful monster, and you get a puny token and no summon for the turn. I would also suggest adding a second Nephtys and 2 Hand Of Nephtys( the deck would run a lot smoother).
GenzoTheHarpist
No, just looked. Your deck is nowhere to be found.
DestinedCardMaker
Ohka's only meant as a surprise monster to smash face when needed, but I can see why it can be a problem, especially since it has no special summon ability.
DestinedCardMaker
Mine?
armageddon08
No DCM, he's talking to me. And Genzo, Mobius isn't that crappy, it has a control element.
DestinedCardMaker
Ah. Mobius is considered to be third best now, I guess?
armageddon08
Who are the best in your oppinion: Stalos, Caius, Granmarg, Zaborg, or Raiza?
DestinedCardMaker
Hmm. Raiza slows the opponent down usually, Caius removes and presses damage, making Zaborg obsolete in a sense. Imo, Raiza.
armageddon08
Why is Zaborg obsolete? If he's obsolete, why are you using him?
DestinedCardMaker
No Caius. And Caius not only removes but causes damage. I still like Zaborg though.
armageddon08
I also like Zaborg. Hey, you should check out my Monarch Control( thats the post name) and tell me what you think.
GenzoTheHarpist
Wait hold on, what's so great about Raiza? Seems to me like Caius would be better in 99% of all circumstances. Raiza would just set your opponent back one turn, all the others could cause irreparable harm. I'll tell you though, I think Kuraz will become one of the best in time. DestinedCardMaker
Alrighty.
DestinedCardMaker
Kuraz will be the best soon. Too over powered, imo. Caius is good, but with Return from the Different Dimension coming back, that can be more of an advantage.
Tekken Ham
Raiza gives them a dead draw next turn, how is it bad again? Monarchs should be rated as so: Raiza>Caius>Kuraz>Thestalos>Mobius>Zaborg>Granmarg.
GenzoTheHarpist
Well who says it's a dead draw? Unless you have a really good hand, by the end of their turn you'll be right back where you started and they'll continue pwning you. I could see how it could help press your advantage and keep them from defending but it seems really useless for getting out of a tricky situation. DestinedCardMaker
Duly noted. Although, I'd switch Kuraz and Caius, imo. Removal can become advantage for the enemy.
DestinedCardMaker
Well, you have to think about the meta. Games are mostly fast paced, and anything that can buy you time is well worth it. Most play Raiza to slow their opponents down, maybe get a direct attck, and ponder on how to deal with them. It's an extra turn in a way.
