The new mentality of Blackwind turned into a card.

Lately I found myself able to overcome several limits I thought I couldn't. Namely, I've been able to work out both during the morning and the afternoon, started losing weight steadily, and still found time to prepare for my college finals. I'm proud of myself actually, since these were two things I had been wanting to be able to do at the same time for ages now. That inspired to make this new card, which will eventually be the ace card of the main character in my very first fanfic - yes, I'm thinking of starting one. At any rate, here it is: Limit Breaker.

Card Lore: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set except by Tributing 2 monsters. This card gains 1 Level each time a Spell or Trap Card is activated. This card gains 1 of the following effects depending on its Level: - 6-7: During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent.; - 8-9: Once per turn, if this card would be destroyed by a card effect, it is not destroyed; - 10-11: This card can attack twice during the same Battle Phase. Negate the effects of your opponent's Spell, Trap and Effect Monsters' effects that target this card; - 12: This card gains all its other effects.

Note, this card can still be Special Summoned.

I made it Level 5 so it wouldn't be searched by Reinforcement of the Army, but still had room to increase Levels.

I gave it 2800 so it wouldn't die on the spot, and gave it the 2-Trib requirement in the effect.

Took me ages to crop that picture, I think it's from some kind of videogame; it had a lame white background, so I cropped it, gave it outer glow and found that blue background on deviantart (background credit goes to N1LS). Well, hope you guys like it. It can be too slow or just fast enough to be useful, depending on the Deck you're running.

Hum, nevermind. There's no such thing. Never was. :P

Well' date=' "inflicts Piercing damage" isn't correct OCG, but otherwise it's good :P

overall - 13.49/13.69 ^_^

[/quote']

Yes it is: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Cyberdark_Horn

And if you're still unsure, read that card's Errata. ;)

Some other recent cards use the "when this card battles a Defense Position monster whose DEF blah blah", but this one is legitimate OCG as well, thought it was only used on Cyberdark Horn. However, it's much shorter, and if I had used the common Trample sentence, the text would become unreadable. Believe me, I tried, I don't like "Piercing damage" either.

Thanks both of you :)

Huh... I apologise... I've never heard of "Piercing Damage" before... Is it just the same as Direct Damage or different?

I'll change my rating to 9.5/10...

Apologies again.

Piercing damage is the same as "During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent."

It was only used once, but it was used, so my guess is it makes it legitimate OCG. ;)

It was used once? Really?? Do you remember which card it was on? I've never seen it used in YGO....

Well, it is a lot shorter, and probably keeps your card readable :P

Ahh it's the differential matter... Now I understand and I agree, if it was used then it has to be legitimate, whether it was used once or one hundred times.

Cool, totally understand now. Great card! Thanks for clearing that up.

O_o That's so weird. It explains on the Piercing page that it's never been used before or since....but it was an errata change?!?! It's so confusing >_>

Well, I guess that totally throws what I know out the window. I guess I'll have to do more studying :P

Exactly' date=' maybe they were short on space too :P

At least I was, but I guess it's a legitimate change, since the real game used it before... right?

[/quote']

If you can find it on a card that hasn't been errata'd since it was made (or in this case, that was errata'd), then by all means use it ^_^

I'll have to remember that in the future if I'm ever short on space ;)

Well, you have tried many times to make a 'unique' card, and they were unique too, but overpowered. You just wanted to much of one card.

But now, you have finally made a card that is unique, original, powerful, and limit-breaking!

You've finally done it, Blackwind, you have broken your own limits :D

Well done, this is the best card I've seen from you.

100/100

Woot!

Well' date=' yes OCG has changed over time but just because it was used once doesn't make it "legit" any more. I love the car though. Excellent job.

Thanks ;)

The reason why I say it might be legit is because we're talking about the latest OCG review for Cyberdark Horn. Of course this is an exception, and it's debatable whether or not what I did is valid, but I also believe we're talking about OCG that isn't obsolete yet. ;)
