You are missing the point.

FREE SPECIAL SUMMON!

Use in monarchs:

Cydra > this > mobi

kill F/D

cydra attack' date=' mobi attack.

Next turn:

this > caius

kill monster / F/D

attack 4 game

[/quote']

If I'm reading the bold correctly, then you've got it wrong. "If you Normal Summon a monster this turn, you can Special Summon this card from your hand."

finally somone see the potential free sp summon is good, also some weirdo destruction attack thingy

point is cydra, mobi this mr. picky -.-

FOR PEOPLE WHO DON'T GET HOW THIS IS GOOD.

Let's say you run Recruiters, lots of people (used to) do, right?

1. Normal Summon Recruiter.

2. Suicide Recruiter into opponent monster.

3. Special Summon monster with Recruiter.

4. Attack with remaining monsters (or not).

5. End Battle Phase.

6. Special Summon "Oneshot Booster" from your hand.

7. Tribute "Oneshot Booster" for its effect.

8. ????

9. PROFIT.

OR:

1. Special Summon "Cyber Dragon"/"Evil Hero Infernal Prodigy"/whatever from your hand.

2. Normal Summon "Elemental Hero Stratos"/Destiny Hero/whatever.

3. Grab "Destiny Hero - Plasma" with Stratos' effect.

4. Special Summon "Oneshot Booster" from your hand.

5. Tribute all three monsters to Special Summon "Plasma" or "Dogma".

6. ????

7. PROFIT. (Wait... That's an instant -2, WTF?)

I would rather run Smashing Ground/Fissure/Hammer Shot/etc.

Does Smashing Ground give you a free summon?

It's a useless play to SS something from the hand under the condition that you've already NS'd this turn' date=' just for either

A) destroying 1 opponent's monster that has battled this turn

B) Using the SS'd monster for a Cost

when destroying 1 opponent's monster that has battled this turn is done better by

a) destroying said opponent's monster in that battle

b) destroying said opponent's monster with an effect that isn't nearly as convoluted

and Using an SS'd monster for a Cost is done better by

i) SSing something that doesn't require such a convoluted condition for the SS

ii) SSing something that benefits from being used as Cost like this

Like I said earlier,

~FOR PEOPLE WHO DON'T GET HOW THIS IS BAD~

Let's say you run Recruiters. Aside from getting massacred by everything out there, because everything out there has a committed fieldwipe that DOESN'T trigger the effects of your Recruiters, the following flaws are latent.

1. NS Recruiter. Your recruiter is now susceptible to about 3000 different ways of dying that don't involve it getting to Damage Calculation. Without reaching Damage Calculation, there is no Battle, and Oneshot can't be used for its effect.

2. Suicide the Recruiter. You've now lost Life in most cases, which is bad; rarely will the Recruiter kill something of equal stats in battle, and when it does, chances are it'll be another Recruiter, making the battle's relevance to Oneshot... zero.

3. SS a monster. Your monster is again susceptible to 3000 different ways of dying that don't involve Damage Calculation, thereby harming Oneshot's usability.

4. Attack as you see fit. For Oneshot's effect to be useful, monsters have to remain after these attacks; such is pointless when you can just destroy by battle or by the cards' own effects.

5. End the Phase.

6. SS Oneshot. If you use Turn Priority to immediately activate its effect, the effect could be wasted completely. If you do not, Oneshot is now susceptible to 3000 different ways of dying that don't involve its effect being activated, thereby making it useless.

7. Pay the Cost to activate.

8. ????

9. Lack of PROFIT - You went through all that just to destroy one monster, when other cards do so with appreciably less risk and appreciably greater reward. Comparatively, Oneshot is a waste, and therefore bad when it comes to destroying monsters, not only because of the greater investment, but also of the huge situationality of the matter. It just works less often.

~OR~

1. Special Summon CyDra/Hell Brat/whatever. It's susceptible to those 3000 ways. We also note that CyDra is Semi-Limited, AND that it is better suited for Battle than tribute; We also note that Brat is better suited for Tribute Summons.

2. Normal Summon Stratos/a Destiny Hero/whatever. Note that the Stratos play is by far the best one of this bunch, but also depends upon a recruitable-but-Limited card. It's also susceptible to those 3000 ways.

3. Get Plasma via Stratos. Note how this step assumes that Stratos is used in the above step. If the others are used, it is noted that you are generally screwed, as you've held a dead Tribute-requiring monster in your hand for a duration of time before that, which is ALWAYS bad.

4. SS Oneshot. You're not using Priority here, so it's susceptible to those 3000 ways.

5. Pay the Cost to summon Plasma or Dogma.

6. ????

7. Lack of PROFIT - Again, comparatively, it's just better to do things that don't require breaking your back; this play does such to the back. Plasma and Dogma best summoned through Token Generation -or- the use of monsters SS'd from places that are not called "hand." Dogma in general is of little point beyond Dragoon D-END at the moment, with good reason.

@Atem' date=' troll phails at arrogance card.

Nah

You guys just overrate trash is all - Oneshot is obsolete.
