Okay, to make this simpler.

A man of Indian Orientation walks into a job interview, does everything to a mediocre extent, but gets rejected for the job, since he isn't qualified. However, he has every right to assume it was racism.

Nowadays, it is practically pointless to be racist anymore. Given the current era, people have been cross-breeding people with people of different races. My great-grand mother was apparently either an Indian herself or descended from Indian ancestry. Therefore, I'm 1/8 Indian.

 

As a Singaporean, racial harmony is important. The education system has stressed a lot on racial harmony as Singapore is a multi-racial country. Any disharmony formed among the people may cause chaos upon Singapore, as shown in the early 1960s racial riots.

In my town, I dont have to worry about racism. 1/4 of my town is asian, 1/2 of my town is caucasian, and the rest is mixed. I know that racism exists, but many people who live in a situation like mine, simply cannot embrace racism. I wouldn't be socially acceptable.

Racists aren't ignorant, since they need a founded reason to be racist. Racism is; As it's currently used in contexts that have nothing to do with the original meaning. It is more than an opinion when it affects your life and the lives of others. Any form of discrimination is based on ignorance because if you were fully informed you would have no reason to discriminate. I hate the idea not the people it is not their fault (Most of the time) it is usually forced upon by the parents. Racism is still around. At least here it is. People of different races dont/rarely communicate with eachother if not neccessary.

 

Our issues in my town, are that:

 

Our town is roughly 45% white. Whites make up most of the regular jobs in the town.

 

Our town is roughly 40% black. Blacks, make up most of the jobs in the city, miles away. Or, in the local fast food joints.

 

Our town is 8% Hispanic, thy are there, they make up some of the little jobs, they usually work in bars or something.

 

Our town is 7% Asian. We recently had a large family of people from India, move into my town. They run most of our bussinesses.

 

Because of this, the hispanics < blacks < whites < Indians.

 

Everyone, ends up hating eachother, because of, [in my view], the Indians.

They feel excluded, because everyone hates them, so they hate everyone back.

 

They took our jobs, and practically, left the hispanics in town, living in the 'ghetto' and without jobs, which makes them hate all of us.

 

Our town is racist. The very end of it there. We dont really hate eachother anymore because of the colours of our skins, but for the way each of us all live.

Your in a debate, politeness should not be expected from either side, but both sides should try to be polite. You have no reason to judge him based on his hobbies, pushing such judgment gives me (and any other reader) the impression that you are ignorant.

 

Onto the core issue.

 

Racism is the manifestation of 2 forces, one created by craptastic societies like Democracies and improperly lead totalitarian regimes alike, pride, and one found in the core of all humans, hate. Pride is, as you said a "demon" among men, that makes them think they are better than others, for any reason. Education aside, the problem with our society that allows pride is that we are too free, free to think that we are better than another man, and even another race. Hate however, manifests differently. It is part of us that we create out of thin air, something we can learn without teaching, and can be created by any event in an individuals life, be it extreme, reading book or things on the web, or just hanging around with people who have already been corrupted by such poison. Either way, it grows on the individual and becomes harder to remove as the individual ages, just like its harder to show a Christian the truth as they go from being teens to adults and from adults to elderly. I will not elaborate on the genetics of hate, how some people (Whites, especially Irish. I mean, I didn't say that) are more prone to hate and fall victim to prideful thoughts, because it will make me sound like a racist to do so.

 

Racism is racism, it does not depends who you are stereotyping, it is the same hate, and the same pride that make the invdividual act the way they do, and it is distasteful all the same.

Racism still exsists, weather you believe it or not. I think there should be no limit controling what you say. People should have a right to speak out. But racism still exsists. Here is one example.

 

My Indian friend's dad was driving at 80 on 65 MPH zone. There was another car next to him driving at about 90 on a 65 MPH zone (caucasian driver). There were no cars on the road except these two cars. A cop pulled behind the caucasian drivers car, and changed lanes into the car I was riding in. We got a ticket for speeding. Now, if you were a cop, would you want to give a speeding ticket for 15 MPH above the limit or 25 MPH? The cop knew that the other car was going faster. But he still gave a ticket to the Indian guy.
