Explode Off The Line - An Incomplete Football Poem

[SHINI [THE CHAOS]]

[align=center]Well I've noticed that a lot of people are writing poem's nowadays, so I'm going to give it a try. :P

 

This poem is about a game that is from my experiences with School Football. I'm a Defensive Tackle, but as some of us know that in School they have different names for different positions. So there are 2 Defensive Tackles, the Nose Tackle and the Defensive Tackle. I'm the Nose Tackle (The difference between a D-Tackle and Nose is that the Nose goes straight up with the Center). :P

 

I'm not too good at writing, so cut me some slack! First attempt at a poem :lol:

Explode Off The Line ( Written by Shini )

 

I walked through the tunnel,

Taking deep breaths trying to calm down

The air is cold, it makes me shiver

I inhale and the air is hot

 

Our Leader stood in front of us,

Motivation in his eyes..

"Warriors, it's time"

The words that escaped his mouth

 

I glanced at him with excitement,

I chanted with the my comrades,

The ones I was to fight with,

Blood was to be shed tonight..

 

We exposed ourselves to the crowd,

Keeping our energy and anger within

The time for intimidation was not now..

The time is when the last man gets on the field

 

The fans cries were loud

I fed off their energy

I knew I was fighting for them

More importantly I was fighting for me

 

We jumped to the huddle at the middle of the field,

Our Team Captain jeered,

We echoed his jeers,

Intimidating was even close to describing us
