Many sites i know and see which are not freely hosted are far much more better then this site in terms of features and stuff and also the moderating staff. Not complaining about the mods quality but about YCMaker's lack of interest in the moderating team and how small it is. For instance the 2 moderators in the CC section aren't enough when you get more then 100 topics and like 500 posts a day. Now the TCG section and Fan-Fic section (along with the RP) are quite slow and it's not harming them that only 1 moderator on each section is taking care of them but 2 could seriously mean an improvement in both of the sections especially the TCG section (deck section included). It's not always to the fact they aren't always around but it's the number of work that you are putting on 1 mod when 2 could make the place much better in terms of quality of posts and feeling members get when they now there are mods ready to help them. General section could also need one more mod since TSL isn't as active as he should be imo and that's not his fault but the activity on the general section is great as well. Next point, the place lacks activities. I remember we once had this YCM Carnival last year and it was really nice, to bad that isn't around plus the Awards aren't there any more cause it ain't really exciting winning because your not gaining anything at all except the headache the council was getting. A good step to solving the problem would be installing a blog system or an arcade system. Server isn't a problem with the +100 bucks you earn a day from ad's on the card maker alone you can easily afford it plus make enough profit, it wont harm you to take more care really. Another issue, the rules are really slack especially rules no. 2,4,5,11,17 and 21. I suggest you either fix them or actually implement them cause right now it's funny the amount of rule breaking going on and i myself decided to test that to make sure if rule breakers are actually punished or not. I spammed, flamed, trolled and advertised just recently for some time and funny thing is that the mod team was so small that it wasn't noticed or that the mods saw it but never did something about it because they didn't give a damn or they didn't notice it. Whatever happened it should be stopped and a solution must be found to stop such behavior. Also, one more thing that's annoying me is the lack of a Multimedia section or even better just make two forums besides the General Section and call them "Entertainment Section" (for movies and videos) and "Gaming Section" (for games like PS3, 360, etc.) which would make it more organized, we'd have the "Gaming" for exchanging codes and talk about releases and games while we can talk about movies, videos, music and such in the 'Entertainment Section" and leave talk about the world, politics, space, life's, rants and such stuff in the General Section. That will also mean 1-2 more mods but that would make the place better, more organized and fun. One more thing left, leave MyBB for god's sake. Move to vBulletin or even IPB. It really wont hurt you to pay some money and they are really versatile and cool, they have tons of cool skins (check for proof) plus additions to keep us happy for another 2 years. You may say finance is a problem and i agree so if you want put some more ads at the bottom of the page or even on top if you need, really we are all fine with ad's just as long as it isn't a pop-up ad. It would give you more money to spend and keep and we promise to click on it every now and then in order to get money if you want. The site hasn't had an addition since it started and the skin is really boring now and the portal is in a bad shape, close the site for like 1 day and freshen things up with a new skin and some additions. Your smart enough to do this stuff. Discuss and if you have nothing to say then "YCMaker is doing the best" then your wrong and please don't post unless your going to add something to the argument please. Waiting for Frunk, TKill and Salty and i hope Static joins this argument and YCMaker be a man as he says and stand up for himself. Remember to express your point cause i'll be debating with you who oppose my thoughts.... I'll ask mods to delete posts such as stated above so don't waste time spamming.
