Dark World

Recommended Posts

Why doesn't anyone run Darkworld anymore...

Even though it's slower than a PC deck' date=' it still kick ass.

Can anyone who lives the meta tell my why Dark World Died...sob..

Have you sen the Dark World deck I posted on this site?

It died because of the more popular deck choices.

The first and third posts are downright humiliating.

To the first post:

Yes, it *CAN* kick ass. That does not mean that it *WILL* a majority of the time.

Someone could run the worst deck ever, and still win against a good deck.

Stop thinking that "it being able to perform" EVER MATTERS. To think such is immensely naive and shortsighted.

The best decks don't win because they are "able to kick ass". They win because they consistently yield the best perormance of the period - they "kick ass all the time", whereas other decks do not.

Really, this is all common sense stuff. You don't need to play the meta, or even play at all, to realize this.

To the third post:

I could run a junky, terrible "Law of the Normal" deck, and it would be possible to take down DAD decks.

I could, realistically, run nearly anything, and said anything "could" take down DAD decks.

It's utterly silly to think that "something being able to take down something else" means a damn thing. Come on, common sense.

To the dude above me...Atem or W.e - I had no clue what u said

To the Starter of the Post - I Have a Darkworld deck. if Graceful Charity was not forbidden, the deck would be good. With an addition of a hole crap load of Discard to Activate... or morphing jar like effects. It would be hard to keep up with and with a Card of Safe Return it would keep up your hand.

Graceful Charity doesn't make Dark World good. Discarding cards for a card cost do not activate Dark World monsters.

As long as it is a card effect (Such as in the matters of GC) it activates Dark World effects. This topic has been discussed before, and does not need another discussion.

1. This person doesn't have common sense.

2. Discard COSTS do not activate Dark World.

Why did you bold 'morphing jar'?

Yeah, I know I forgot the word cost.

On-Topic: Dark World isn't dead. There are just better and faster decks out there. However the deck I posted here was fast enough to win.

No, I don't, actually. It's never even been explained to me what "metagame" is, actually.

The only thing I really know for sure, about Dark World specifically is, that it most likely died because everyone was using the same remover deck.

At least, it seems that way when I go to a tournament...

Macro is not widely used. For deck to be successful it must be good against 85% of decks. No matter what deck you build it will have one deck it is weak against. The thing that makes a deck competitive is how consistently it can win. In this format building a deck that does not work against glad beasts is silly because if you went to a major tournement you will find that about 50% of the top players will be running GB.
