i found out on the yugioh wiki that instead of "When this card attacks a Defense Position monster whos Defense is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as battle damage" or something like that. i figured out that it is now "This card inflicts piercing damage." look at the card "Cyberdark horn"

Taken from YuGiOh Wiki:

 

Piercing

 

In one instance this was printed as This card inflicts Piercing damage. on "Cyberdark Horn". Cards printed with similar effects in future sets and even the same set have not used this wording.

 

 

 

As you can clearly see, cyberdark horn is the only card to use it, cards that came after it have used the 'Norm', so it has not changed.
