The mods that are active don't know why Draco is banned, and we don't know how to find out. If we knew, we would tell the members, but we don't know. Send a message to YCMaker if you want to know. Cyber Altair Posted June 28, 2008 Report Share Posted June 28, 2008 Really, if an admin who is supposed to be really mature and understanding and wanting the best for his/her site then he must talk and interact with the members of his site and when someone is banned he is supposed to give a reason.... Since when was Remix YCMakers new toy, making him post whatever he wants instead of taking care of it personally.... if someone was banned (not newfags) then isn't he or the person responsible for the ban supposed to say something instead of having all the members running around like headless chicken's wondering what ill-fate has fallen on that member without knowing the reason and whether it will happen to them and when. Such bans though they might be justified must be told to the members of the forum so they know what has happened, refrain from it and most importantly know this isn't like /b/ where someone is banned for the sake of banning. YCM is dieing. Why you may ask, reason is YCMaker is sleeping heavily and if a high predicament occurs he simply promotes mods to Super Moderators and when no more moderators are left he randomly picks 2-3 members. Now i move on to the unfair banning of Draco, Draco has done a lot of good while trying to improve YCM. You cannot deny that it was his efforts that improved GFX around here and it wasn't for his efforts that we now have a debate section that even though it isn't really active that it serves a purpose and it's still used now. If such a member is banned by the ROOT and the only given reason is "Unknown" then what does this mean? the ROOT is a hypocrite of who will ban me and anyone else if we might disagree with him or oppose him? When he says that "The reason was due to lack of "positive contribution to the forum"" doesn't this go out to the 100,000 members who never posted or contributed to the site in any manner? I know, beg the members to look at the reason's which resulted Draco's ban.... is it just? did he deserve it? did he pose a threat? did he threaten to destroy the site? No. No. No. Then why is it that when anyone tries to help a site like me and Draco we end up with a ban. Why is it that when a member is banned by a moderator that no reason to why he his banned or what reason made them chose to ban him him. If you notice many members are leaving right now and that this stuck up act by the Admin is doing absolutely no good to the site. Mark my words if members such as draco are banned in this manner and that YCMakers actions remain the same the next month will certainly mean the last month of YCM. YCMaker has his reasons for banning people, and if he bans someone he believes to be a threat then he can do it, we don't need to know the reasoning behind these things, because it has nothing to do with us. Mark my words if members such as draco are banned in this manner and that YCMakers actions remain the same the next month will certainly mean the last month of YCM.
