Amethyst Phoenix
You may or may not have seen me mention an upcoming card set in a few of my posts. I've been working on it for a long while, so finally, I present Legends of the Elves! (note , set numbers may be off).Disclaimer: I don't own these images. apologies for lack of traps/spells (I suck at them lol) [spoiler=effect]When this card is Summoned, Flip Summoned, or Special Summoned, you must discard 1 DARK attribute monster from your hand. If you do not this card is immediately destroyed and sent to the Graveyard. This card gains one of the following effects depending on the type of the discarded monster.Spellcaster: This card is unaffected by the effects of spell cards.Fiend: This card cannot be destroyed as a result of battle. Warrior: This card gains 600 ATK.Dragon: During battle between this attacking card and Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as battle damage to your opponent. I credit that you probably took your time to look for some neat pics., but the truth is...some weren't really good, while others were nice to feast my eyes on. The effects, some cool ones, others, not so good at all. Just not a 5 star compared to the other awesome stuff out there. But maybe I was too harsh....a 3 1/2 star? Guest Supreme Gamesmaster
I feel your pain. Badly. Therefore, from ignored member to ignored member, I present a review. Aleion:When this card is Summoned successfully, discard 1 DARK monster from your hand. This card gains the appropriate effect depending on the Type of the discarded monster: •Spellcaster: This card is unaffected by the effects of Spell Cards. •Fiend: This card cannot be destroyed by battle. •Warrior: This card gains 600 ATK. •Dragon: During battle between this attacking card and Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. •Other: This card is treated as a Normal Monster while it is face-up on the field. Effect Dissection: Okay, so you discard a DARK, and it could get an effect. Let's see what those effects are. Discard a Spellcaster for Spell immunity. Extremely useful to anti-Lightning Vortex. Discard a Fiend for battle endurance. Not so useful; most monster removal takes place outside of battle. Warrior, the card gets decent ATK for a Level 6 monster. Dragon, it gets Piercing damage. Since there were no other Types provided, we assume that it loses its effect if you discard, say, a DARK Fairy-Type monster. Playability: Only the Spellcaster and Warrior effects are useful. One potential application in Traditional format is to use his effect to discard Makyura the Destructor. The use of Treeborn Frog might earn him a place in a few decks; however, the fact that he's Level 6 destroys most of his playability. Cut the ATK and Warrior ATK increase by 300 points apiece, and bring him down to Level 4. THEN he'll be useful. Others coming later.
Amethyst Phoenix
i tried to put in other other types for the warlock but it started to act wierd lol. too much text i suppose. thanks for taking the time to review them individually :D
Guest Supreme Gamesmaster
You're welcome. Do you mind reviewing my cards? Battle-Mage:Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can destroy 2 Spell or Trap Cards on the field (you must control at least 1 of these cards). During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. All Battle Damage taken in a battle involving this card is halved. When this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, you gain Life Points by an amount equal to twice the amount of Battle Damage inflicted.Effect Dissection: You can destroy 2 S/Ts, but you have to control 1 of 'em. He does Piercing damage, too. You gain LP equal to what the battle damage should be whenever he attacks, but your opponent only takes half damage.Playability: This guy is pretty balanced. I don't see him featured prominently anywhere, but I'm a TCG n00b, so you're better off asking someone else if you want real-life playability comments. Guest Supreme Gamesmaster
Bracknars: When this card is Summoned successfully, select 1 face-up monster on the field. When this card is removed from the field, destroy the selected monster. When the selected monster is removed from the field, destroy this card.Effect Translation: Destiny Bond.Playability: Summon it and pick JD. Quite powerful anti-DAD/JD, but you have to Summon it at the right time.
