Willieh
I'm white and I didn't find it offensiveIn fact' date=' some parts of it are somewhat trueAnd those parts are what actually made me laugh Although they did exaggerate quite a bit ~Clariex[/color'] They were true from one side of the story. But from another side of the story, they were almost false. Really we did Africans a good bit of good by taking them in as slaves. Had we not, they would still be in Africa (leaving their ancestors a lot worse off). Another thing that this fails to overlook is; we didn't take in Africans because we hated blacks. The statement "Back then white people were afraid of work too" is an absolute falsity. The truth is, the first people we overtook as slaves were, in fact, other Europeans. Africans were our LAST resort, and they worked best because their bodies could withstand the heat. Ours couldn't. Ugh.. *writes something down on my list of reasons of why I hate people* Elaborate on what exactly you mean by that statement. (not flaming; just asking.) Benraino
I actually agree with Willie Adler. The education system needs to give both sides of each topic. Teachers need to be neutral and allow for open discussion. I was lucky to have a good school that allowed us to do that.

Willieh
its funny i dont think it is ment to be taken seriously It is meant to be taken seriously. Michael Moore wrote the script, and he did the animation to prove his valid point. The only thing is; his point isn't very valid. It's incredibly one sided and an imposed tragedy. Nobody should actually think like this; because the video is so clearly and discretely racist.

It's put in a way so that the most stupid person wouldn't be able to find it offensive. The colorful images and unreasonable amount of jokes are meant to have the effect they have on you. They are supposed to make people not take it seriously; so that everyone will immediately agree with the message it sends out. This is the video summed up in a way that would make it seem more blatantly offensive. "White people didn't like not having freedom of religion; so they ran away from Europe because they were scared. Then they hit land at America, slaughtered all the Native Americans, and started killing each other because they were so scared. Now you would think that all this mass murder would please these white people, but it didn't, instead they just killed all the British so that they could be free. Then they went to Africa and started taking people back to do work for them because they couldn't do work for themselves. After this happened the north one the civil war, they got scared and started killing black people. Then they ran away, again, and lead a normal life with other white people." I stopped paying attention to the video after the points on slavery. First of all, we took Africans as a LAST resort. We tried using prisoners, then other Europeans, and several other races before taking in African slaves. Want another secret? It was actually the people from Portugal who started the slave trade; not the white Americans. In fact, everyone was involved in the slave trade before America. America was the last link of the slave trade. It started with Portugal, then Spain, and THEN America. Another fine point of interest is; we didn't personally go over there and take slaves. Actually other Africans offered them to us for money after THEY captured them. So you may not take this seriously at all; but I find it as a slander to every white person in America, or better, to ever caucasion person on the PLANET. It isn't just a joke. It has messages lined in it, that aren't hidden to the average person. I suggest you listen to, not hear, what it's saying. The message isn't kill Americans. And the video is a face of hypocrisy. And it's really the fact that they showed this in a school as well. How about I make a video that says... "The Mexicans come illegally to America and take our jobs. They don't care; they even cause a lot of violence while they are over here. And while I'm at it, all black people are jobless and on the well-fair system." I would probably be on the national news as the most racist child in America.
