As far as I know, of what I have heard from all religions, it is not "Okay" for homosexuals in religion. It is shunned upon in nearly every major religion.

i edited heavily if anyones interested. its a bit rambly but covers some bases.

 

i fear whats REALLY going on is that gay couples actually DONT CARE MUCH about legal status in the US for tax purposes, benefits etc.

 

what they really want is a SEMBLANCE of moral and EVEN RELIGIOUS approval (via the vibe i mentioned earlier that marriage has religious meaning to most) for their lifestyle.

 

i feel that this is disguised in many cases by a facade of "we want equal rights under the law" when really they are saying "your religious (the basis IMO of the moral concept of gay as taboo) beliefs are wrong" if you do subscribe to the dogma of w/e prominent religion you were raised under (if you were raised that way at all).

 

and as far as the younger generation. IMO many gays would LOVE for those youngsters to be completely UNAWARE of RELIGION in the conventional sense and MASK the thousands of years of text these religions are based on which DENOUNCE SAME SEX RELATIONS MUCH LESS MARRIAGE.

Allow me to sum it up...

 

Gay= bad with jesus

Gay= Cool with Buddah

Gay= bad with Allah

 

Buddhism is probably the most non-religious religion there is. They don't even worship a god. They dont worship anything. They look up to a person named Buddha and consider him to be a very intelligent person. They probably are the best religion as well; they believe in Karma and Nirvana. Karma means basically what goes around comes around. Nirvana is a term to describe all out bliss; when you meditate this is your goal. To achieve complete peace.

 

And your last comment, "HTF is this appropriate for a yugioh forum?" sums itself up. This isn't a Yugioh forum. This is a debates sub-forum in a polls forum.

Sadly the rules regarding imagery have been around since the start of the forum, i hoped i could demolish them regarding cards, but the older (length of time on the forum) Moderators wish for certain image to not be used, its the only reason i enforce the certain images rule.

 

I wanted to make a Pole Dancing Set :(

with something like say a pillar

and change the hot women

The whole point of love is so that the human race will continue to reproduce. Thats the only reason love exists. Just like love exists between ducks or geese; you know that ducks only have one mating partner for their entire life?

 

Love is only an emotion. And the only reason we have that emotion is so that we will have sexual intercourse; thus continuing the human race.

 

A week ago i would have agreed, now i don't. Love is something that keeps you going even after your down, the thing that comes up to your mind when you wake, the thing that makes your disgusting life worth living for, even if for a man that person is a man or for a women it another women. Marriage isn't something necessary for these people because they have love for each other but nowadays it's much more safer for these people to live as a man and man or women and women legally since that gives them a much more safer life and peace of mind. I'm sure if they really love each other they won't care if they get married or not but it's better for them to be legally married. They deserve it, why take that away from them?

1. Personally, I wouldn't care if my children were gay. It makes no difference to me personally.

 

2. I would actually encourage gay people to raise children. It would certaintly bring a lot more tolerance into the world.

One might argue that tradition is worthless if it contrasts with reason. It doesn't matter how old texts are that denounce homosexuality are, if they conflict with common sense, it's worthless. One might also argue that a purely secular existence is beneficial, as there is no seemingly arbitrary religious tendency to interfere with reason.

I see no reason for there to be a conflict about same sex marriage. I wish that I could just go up to everyone who opposes same sex marriage and say "What is it hurting you if they get married?" and see what they have to say. It is likely that most of them would say "The Bible says gay marriage is wrong." Theses are the same people who believe Harry Potter is corrupting the youth, but that is a topic for another day. I've yet to here a logical reason, and not a reason in which the logic is religion, why homosexuals shouldn't have the same rights as hetrosexuals.

Many people interpret the bible way to literally. IMO, the bible is not to blame. It's the way that some people choose to interpret it to fit whatever philosophy they have. People who do that aren't really following the bible :/ So that is why if anyone ever says that gays can't marry because of the bible, I just walk away.
