Jerry OldMaster
A continuation of the "oil" thread made by Wombat, I'd like to know your opinions how to solve all the stuff.A friend of mine says (and not only he) that the only possible solution is deindustrialisation. Either we lay down or we die.I don't think so.There is no point of deindustrialistaion, too many people will be against it and we won't come further. However, if we do the opposite, concentrate everything in the world to find the solution, we WILL acchieve something.
HelioSpark
I think that at this point, there is no solution. We have to wait it out, and pay for what we have done. It may seem harsh, but its true. Climatolagists have already confirmed that it is too late to stop global warming. Meaning that the ice caps will melt, making the oceans rise, and causing the next ice age. It is inevitable at this point. The bright side is, after the 10,000 year ice age, things should begin to reset themselves^_^

If the icecaps melt the water will stay the same level. Think about it. If I take a glass of water and put some ice in it, the water level will rise. However when the ice melts in that glass, the water will remain the same as when ice was in it. The water will displace itself. So that's not whats going to happen sadly. I just told you WHY science proves it impossible. If the ice melts the water will displace. I'm not talking about advanced science bullshit, I'm talking about your basic second grade science. If I pour water onto a flat surface, the water doesn't pile up, it spreads out. There are also paid scientists who have proved that it WON'T make water run over land. Think about how stupid that theory is. Even if it did add on to the water level it wouldn't run over land then. The land isn't going to sink into the water. Here's another thing you might find interesting. The climate is getting colder. It's not getting hotter. Did you know that during the 1940's the world's climate was at an all-time high. Or how about the fact that GLOBAL WARMING isn't killing our environment. If it is; then why the funk is the south pole on NEPTUNE getting warmer? http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/09/070918100600.htm Please don't believe everything you see on T.V. Most of it is complete bullshit. The icecaps aren't going to cause water to run over the surface of the earth. If anything we would have to worry about polar bears attacking us...-.-"

Actually Wille, that only applies if the ice is ALREADY in the water. Alot of ice on earth is on land, not water. Actually most of the ice is in the water. Besides that, global warming doesn't exist. It's a myth. Let's say that the percentage of ice that is on the land does melt. How much land is it really going to rise over? Oh no some of the shores are gone, IS THERE NO GOD???? That's not going to kill us. Trust me.
HelioSpark
It may not kill us, but you do not realise that even an inch or two of increase can upset the worlds ocean currents, throwing off weather patterns. Static
First off, Gore deserves the attention regardless of whether or not Global Warming is real or not, he should have been our president for the last 7 1/2 years. Second off, burning coal and oil does inevitably cause the greenhouse effect, so to some degree, global warming does exist, its just not going to flood anything 300 feet above sea level (thats what I heard on the television lawl), its closer to.... 50 feet at worst, and the drying out of the Ganges river in India. HelioSpark
^what you consistently fail to realise is that yes, SOME muslims, a VERY small percentage of them are very violent. Muslim extremists. They interpret the Qur'an in a way that it was never meant to be. They don't even deserve to be called Muslims. How much more Racist can you be? separation of church and state, ever heard of it? MCcain is a doof who would like us in Iraq for a hundred years -.-" You couldn't be more of a liberal-.-"you don't understand me, and my beliefs. If you lived where I lived, in Massachusetts, you would have the same feelings as me. If I went through all of your expieriences, I would probably have your beliefs. I am not a liberal. I am a democrat. there IS a differance. Just a suggestion for you. Don't focus to much on a candidate personally. Even though it is very important to have someone with strong leadership skills, the issues are more important. Looking at someone and saying "oh my god he is muslim, he's gonna not do anything to stop those suicide bobmers and destroy our country, he could never be pres"Anyone who is running for president has a great love for this country. Obama loves this country and would do anything to protect it. The terrorists will see his confidence.....also, they don't like him already because they think he is betraying the faith, so they have no reason to feel more comfortable with him than with anyone else. You don't become notorious for something by doing it a very small percentage of the time. You blindly overlook major facts. His wife HAS ties with HAMAS. And sorry for assuming you're a liberal; it's just that you believe in so many things that they believe in...:| And honestly I don't trust Obama at all. Anybody who does is so naive it's not even funny. He is a face of hypocrisy. And not the normal hypocrisy that every candidate has; but a complete and utter hypocrisy. He claims the black votes even though he's lived with WHITE people all his life. He claims that the church he was going to is bad AFTER we caught him there. He voted against raising taxes; and now he's campaigning to raise taxes? You must understand why I wouldn't put it past him to be a muslim. When practiced correctly, it is one of the most peaceful religions in the world. I sincerely doubt that most of the Muslims in america are extremists, because many came here to escape the violence.
