A continuation of the "oil" thread made by Wombat, I'd like to know your opinions how to solve all the stuff.

A friend of mine says (and not only he) that the only possible solution is deindustrialisation. Either we lay down or we die.

I don't think so.

There is no point of deindustrialistaion, too many people will be against it and we won't come further. However, if we do the opposite, concentrate everything in the world to find the solution, we WILL acchieve something.

I'm sorry but that is just ridiculous. South pole: Much of the ice is in glaciers which reside partially or wholly ON LAND. When they melt, they oceans WILL RISE. Same thing goes for all of the glaciers residing in highland areas around the world. Plus, I would like you to Show me where science has said that the oceans will not rise. I have watched maybe 20 shows on National Geographic, where paid scientists have stated that the melting of the ice around the world will cause the oceans to rise.

I just told you WHY science proves it impossible. If the ice melts the water will displace. I'm not talking about advanced science bullshit, I'm talking about your basic second grade science. If I pour water onto a flat surface, the water doesn't pile up, it spreads out. There are also paid scientists who have proved that it WON'T make water run over land. Think about how stupid that theory is. Even if it did add on to the water level it wouldn't run over land then. The land isn't going to sink into the water.

 

Here's another thing you might find interesting. The climate is getting colder. It's not getting hotter. Did you know that during the 1940's the world's climate was at an all-time high. Or how about the fact that GLOBAL WARMING isn't killing our environment. If it is; then why the funk is the south pole on NEPTUNE getting warmer?

Actually most of the ice is in the water. Besides that, global warming doesn't exist. It's a myth. Let's say that the percentage of ice that is on the land does melt. How much land is it really going to rise over? Oh no some of the shores are gone, IS THERE NO GOD????

It may not kill us, but you do not realise that even an inch or two of increase can upset the worlds ocean currents, throwing off weather patterns. It could still be very destructive.

Just a suggestion for you. Don't focus to much on a candidate personally. Even though it is very important to have someone with strong leadership skills, the issues are more important. Looking at someone and saying "oh my god he is muslim, he's gonna not do anything to stop those suicide bobmers and destroy our country, he could never be pres"

Anyone who is running for president has a great love for this country. Obama loves this country and would do anything to protect it. and they are people, they are my friends.....I understand a lot more about Islam because of them. When practiced correctly, it is one of the most peaceful religions in the world. I sincerely doubt that most of the Muslims in america are extremists, because many came here to escape the violence.
