Is any life better than no life at all?

If someone came up to you and pointed a gun at your son and said ' Either you let us take him with us and raise him, or we'll kill you both now.' If you knew that if they took him he would be raised to hate and taught to kill, but he would also be well fed and clothed and educated, would you let them take him?

You have no other options, you must either give your child to them or let him be killed with you.

This is the choice that many many mother faced during WW2 in Nazi Germany.

They could let their children be raised to be Nazi soldiers or let them die at a young young age.

Is it better to let yourself and your children die or to let them live as murderers?

Do you think the people who choose to give their child up were in the right, or in the wrong?

Hm this is a tough one. The way I look at it, if you hand the child over and let them grow up being violent, that is the only life they will ever know, so it won't be bad to them. Even though i may not like the way they grow up, i would be dead so it would't matter.

So I would let the kid live^_^

If it was some kind of criminal' date=' I'd let him go and call the cops as soon as he's gone.

what?

if it was a nazi? in WW2

there is no if's about it, it was

and you dont say kill us both

you say, kill me instead, take the child, let it live

what the hell is wrong with you?

i would be dead right now (tech. never born) -.-"

He says whatever he feels like saying because it's his opinion and this is a debate. Consider for a moment that perhaps he didn't want his child to grow up and become a Nazi murderer as well, and please, try to show a little more respect for the opinions of other people even if you disagree with them. "What the hell is wrong with you" is hardly a nice way of saying you disagree, and definitely not a good argument to prove him wrong... ;)

no, i said "what the hell is wrong with you"

as he did not justify his reason, for killing both himself and the kid -.-"

I don't think it's a decision for me to make on his behalf.

I'd let the child decide, whether he'd rather be noble and meet his ends with me here, or be preservative and lead a life of violence.

Either way, I'd respect, and accept, his decision.

=/.

lol, that's a good idea.

And that's actually why I wouldn't say, don't take him, lest he grow up to be a murderer...because it's his life to define.
