RP Section spam

Well I didn't think it was a hard thing since I did say 3 when i came up with it and the fact 3 lines isn't much so most people wouldn't have to be watched

When I first got into RP I only posted like 1-2 lines but as I knew how to RP I started posted more lines. But I agree alot just SPAM and stuff. I see members making over 5 plus RPs. But, I don't actually think posts should be turned off on the RP Section but something should be done.

For one' date=' I dont think that posts should be turned off in Role Play, beacause of the dramatic loss of posts people would have.

I do support having every Roleplayer on the forum having 4 lines MINIMUM or their post will be deleted.. That sounds good.

I suggested that rule when I was writing rules for the rp section, umbra didn't agree on it sadly

Hmm... A moderator would have to be there at all times, but unless you can find a way to make a minimum character content of people's posts to suit the problem, I think it is your only option.

That rule was not implemented because it would be near-impossible with my material, although that is an acceptable cause. It was not implemented because I don't feel like putting unneeded limits to posts. Giving people a minimum line is like giving people a maximum line; makes no sense whatsoever.

This is a message from Meti

Hello' date=' this is Meti. I couldn't help but read this topic as a guest eariler today and I wish to express my views. Though, I must do so with a messanger seeing how as my ban is still not lifted. And won't be until August 6th, 2008.

Anyway, here is what I have to say.

I read that some of you were talking about banning those bad Roleplayers with bad grammer. Well, I see this is a horrible idea, and would creat alot of tension and rivalry between the new members who post there, and the Moderating Team as well. If you believe that they are pointlessly spamming, then you may ban them from the roleplaying section all together. But, if they put atleast some effort in tryng to roleplay, then atleast they know what the section is about and that they are trying to become good roleplayers. And with all means of respect and curtousy, help them, teach them to become better roleplayers. Teach them proper grammer, as well as how to creat a storyline. But, as I said already, if they have no clue on what they are doing, then report them. Don't post in the thread, otherwise you'd be spamming as well, being hypocrite and looking like all you care about if your post count. Just report them, PM a member of the Staff Team about it, directly, and then wait for a Moderator to handle it. There is no need to go into such involuntary and crued suggestions as banning someone just because they have improper grammer.

Welcome to the real world, not everyone on yugiohcardmaker forums is literate. However, you can change that for them, by helping those who look like they are willing to listen to you, and then teach them so that they too, can have the skills as a good roleplayer.

That's it for me for now. If you wish to contact me further, my e-mail address is the following.

If you have any questions, then you may ask via e-mail.

Thank you, and have a very pleasant day.
