General Section getting spammy

Well the title says it all.

 

First of all I made this thread for one point, to discuss spammy threads, people, posts. Since I was going through a lot of threads I found out a lot of spammy posts and replies from people which can make them loose a lot of posts. Ok well this is what I saw.

OK now the spammer just spammed in the last post woohoo thats weird, "I promise that I won't spam again"? Really?

ive seen over half of those post those people did

And Spammers are people who just want to get extra points and post to lv up in his/her member

 

And when he gets to like lv 4or 5 they call people who did what he did a n00b

 

when he knows he has did it....

Yes I agree. The general section seems to be getting spammier as time goes by....:|

Guys this is exactly my point. More posts more points. Thats why I have told a mod or 3 about making a post check up. And slash I doubt it. Before 2 or 3 days ago I saw a thread that which said that YCMaker won't add anymore mods or even mods won't upgrade to S mods so I doubt it.

There is a report button for this purpose, you know. Instead of complaining about it, you can just report them, their posts, and their threads. That way I don't have to look through all the threads for spam.

Slime all of us did that but did anything happen? No they just keep the SPAM cycle so I really don't know and I'm not really complaining TBH. It's just a brief true thing we're facing.

if you have a problem with the spamming thats going on, then dont reply to the spammers post, its a sure fire way, to, stop the spamming from continuing

Lol as I just told you on MSN.

If I didn't reply another one of those spammers will just come and reply to them. Then it will be really long.

Sorry, but I can't be on all the time. Having another mod for this section that lives in another time zone would be very helpful, but as it stands, I'm currently the only one. And again, you (not just you, just members in general) can use the report button to help combat this spam and keep it all under control. Bloodrun is the only one using now, so I hope the rest of you will follow his example.

As you see you right with one point. Another mod in a different time zone. That would be helpful but I don't think there will be any mods at YOUR night. I'm on like 3 days without any sleep and I can tell you that most of the SPAMS start in night time.

We have morning so I really don't have any problem seeing it but it just get on my nerve every time they SPMA and there isn't any mods.

Ok when you say when thay get up it will mean, TOO LATE, too late means, the forum is already half spammed. Spam=Less members coming. But that doesn't matter. While they are sleeping there is no Admin. No Mod no S mod so the forum will already be spammed.

you cant always control that

more then 2 mods, live in a completely different time zone

so, quit complaining.

If you dont like the certain circumstances, there is only 2 things you can do.

1) Deal with it.

or

2) Leave.

If it needs to be dealt with, then YCMaker will deal with it.

Swiss/Xin/Daemon.... Posts are what makes a thread spammy, not the thread started really. Granted some are just nasty or lack point. But if someone can gain a footing within that thread, it is no longer spam. And it just so happens that General is where a majority of Spammy posts may occur. Had it been another section with such posts? General is not the problem, just the unfortunate medium...

Eh thats right well I said all the things that I should but still we will face this in this forum. So I wouldn't really have anything more to give or say. I gave all the ideas I have but non of them were chosen. I think global mods will be good. (I will be one soon)
