Yugioh: Duel Monster Chronicles. Ch. 1- A Empty Shadow

Tick...Tock...Tick...Tock

 

The time passed by as Justin watched his friends deul. He didn't know much about Duel Monsters, exept that you lay down card and attack other ones. The deul was between his two best freinds, Yarvich and Haden. Yarvich was a plump mop-headed toughy. He always tryed to intimidate and physch out his opponents in deul monsters. Haden was the reigning champ in the school tournaments. He hoped to go to the Natonals some day himself. Justin sat there quietly while the other kids watching cheered for their favorite.

 

Tick...Tock...Tick...Tock

 

" I sacrifice my Red Eyes Black Dragon to summon Red Eyes Darkness dragon," Yarvich stated as he set the fabled beast down on the battle-mat. " ... And since I have two dragons on the feild, My Red Eyes Darkness Dragon gains 600 attack and defense points. Now Red Eyes attack his life points directly!"

" Hah, You've activated my trap card, Magic Cylinder," Countered Haden, as he turned over the trap card. The crowd gasped, They didn't Expect that to happen.

 

" I knew he would win," A Little girl in the crowd stated.

"It's not over yet," replied Justin.

Yarvich eyed Justin then smiled. He knew, justin was cheering for him. He drew another card and set it face down on the feild. It was a tied battle. 600 life points to 600 life points.

" Well Yarvich its over now, I play minor goblin offical. Now whenever it's your turn you take 500 damage. Well I'm done your turn."

Then Yarvichs life points dropped to 100. Every one was sure it was over.

" Not so fast," commented Yarvich," I summon castle of dark illusions!"

" What, I thought you were out of monsters!" Haden said in shock.

" Well, you tuought wrong now I..."

 

Tick... Tock...Tick...RIIIIIIIIIING

 

The school bell ringed.

 

" What, no!" Yarvich raged

" Well, you know the rules, if the bell rings during a match, the match ends in a tie," Stated Haden as all the kids left to go home.

 

" What a stupid rule!" whined Yarvich as he munched on his English muffin.

" Its your rule, Yarvich" added Haden as he flipped through his new edition of Deul Monsters Weekly. It came with a free Armored dragon level 10, witch was the only Armored Dragon Yarvich didn't have. Justin walked up to Haden, looking unsure of what to do.

 

" Haden, I think I'm ready to deul now," Justin said.

" Did you read the advanced rule book?" questiond Haden

" Five times," answered Justin

" Well then, here take my Dinosuar deck, you can use it," Haden said, passing the deck to justin. Justin looked nervous he had never deuled before and didn't wan't to lose his first match. " Don't worry, I'm using my insect deck, you'll do great!" Haden reasurred. " Infact, you can go first,"

 

"Alright," Justin said, drawing his first five cards. He was looking tense, then he chose a card.

" I summon, Two-Headed King Rex in attack mode," Justin said, gently laying the card on the table,"...He has 1600 attack points!"

" Good, now I play one card face down and summon Killer Needle in attack mode," Smirked Haden. Yarvich pushed his hand through his coarse blonde hair. He wondered why Haden would play such a weak monster in attack mode.

" Alright then, I play Remove Trap, so now that card is gone," Justin stated, as he pointed to that face down card. Yarvich was impressed, by Justin's move.

" Yah, you show him Justin, kick his butt!" Yarvich cheered, Justin was doing was doing very good for his first match.

" ...and I attack your Killer Needle" said Justin,"you lose 400 life points." Now Haden was down to 1600 life points.

" Excellent but I play insect Queen, Which had more attack than your King Rex, but I'm not going to attack, instead I play, Two Man Cell Battle," replied Haden, " Instead I play, Take-Down witch allows me to summon a monster with 5 stars. Now I think I'll play it in defense mode, face down,"

Yarvich was getting a little confused, he pondered about what the card Haden layed down was. Then he remembered about his first match against Haden. He knew what the card was. Justin ordered an attack on it. But Yarvich broke in.

" No don't attack that card it's..."

" Hah," Haden laughed as he flipped over the card, "Nobleman-Eater Bug, and I use its affect destroy two monsters on the feild, and I choose my Insect Queen and your Two-Headed King Rex, which activates my quick-play magic card, Monster Reborn to bring back my Insect Queen."

 

Tick...Tock...Tick...Tock

 

The match went on for what seemed to be ages, Yarvich felt very sleepy, Haden was very tired as well, and the lifepoints were tied 100 to 100. Haden had nothing on the feild while Justin had two face-down trap cards. Haden was about to lay down a card, when suddenly the front door burst open and three tough looking kids walked in holding deul monster cards in there hands. The one in the middle was rather chubby and had a bald head. He was hiding his eyes with a cheap looking pare of shades. The one to his left was very skinny and tall, his long blonde hair was wrapped behind him. The one to the right was very mysterious. He was wearing an olive-drap tuxedo with a peice of cloth wrapped around his face, leaving only one small opening for his eye.

 

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" Yarvich questioned, clenching his fist. The middle boy snappedhis fingers and the skinny one ran up to Yarvich and tackled him down. " Hey, what the hell are you doing," Yarvich struggled. the Skinny kid was tougher than he looked.

" Get off of him," Haden said as he drew back his fist and jumped on The skinny kid. He delivered a punched that knocked the kid off of Yarvich.

"I'll coming Johnny!" the bald kid said as he body slammed Haden down. Thankfully Yarvich was up and was in a fisticuffs with the bald kid, while Johnny( the skinny one) layed fist after fist onto Haden

" What's going on?" Justin yelled. He didn't notice that the kid in the olive-drapp tux was walking towards him with brass knuckles. He pushed Justin to the wall, arching his brass knuckle arm back, ready to strike at the slightest movement. Yarvich was tied up along with Justin. They watched as the intruders terrorized Haden.

 

"Who are you? What do you wan't?" Haden said daised by his fatigue.

" That's none of your concern," the Bald kid said,"We are mercs, we were hired by a cleint who wanted you out of the picture. Apparently he wanted to be the king of deul monsers and didn't wan't you to show up to the finals tomorow,"

" Now we are going to take you to the junkyard. I am a big fan of deul monsters and am planning to deul you in a 3 way deul. If you win, you are freed, If I win you must stay in captivity until further notice,"

 

The trio were taken down to the junkyard with much struggle. Yarvich almost broke through the ropes until the kid with the tux slammed his brass knucles into Yarvich's stomach. Haden was knocked out and justin was extremely tired from all the action that happened before. When they finallly arrived, they were untied and thrown down into the gulch

"alright, you wretches you win, I hand over the key, We win, and you stay down here, don't worry you'll get food and water, once every five hours."

"now then," Johnny started,"let's Deul!!!!!!!!!!!"

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Will the trio win the deul and escape, or will they loose and be keep'd prisoners until "further notice".
