FindingTheEverlight
The question is if you play Japanese or American video games. I personally dislike American games (minus Call of Duty), they are generally really crappy and half-assed. I like Japanese games because they are generally good and they actually try with their games. Yet Sega is an exception, Their only good games are Sonic. So what are your opinions? Umbra
I dislike the visual appearance of most characters in JRPGs. Most of them look the same. Yahtzee explained this perfectly in his TWEWY review. However, Japan has an interesting concept-view. Also, they love their card games. I don't keep in touch on where my games are developed when it comes to non-Japanese games. Both America and Europe work for me. Although I dislike FPSes in general. FindingTheEverlight
Lots of people say the Japanese only make RPG, I am very contrary with that, I believe Konami made an anime style GTA and they also make MGS. For American games, I wanna slap Eidos for making games like Tomb Raider or Hitman. (yet they did publish the PC version of FFVII).
Umbra
Japanese ~Clariex I'm amazed by your contributing to the topic. And Sin, of course you're correct, Japan makes far more than just RPG's. I just dislike the fact that most characters I've seen look like they could be on the same team, regardless of which game they are in.
FindingTheEverlight
Charlie, you mean "anime" style-like games? But also I can agree with you.But for some reason the Japanese try really hard with their games v. American games. In the American games, if they base games off of movies (THEY SUCK!) Larxene
I chose Japanese games because they're the only ones who can actually come up with something originalAmerican video games are complete crapThey're all just movie games and FPS's There, I gave you a reason for my answerHappy now? ~Clariex

EliminateHRN
To me it depends on what kinda game it is. But, I generally like American Games better but it depends on what kinda game.

I'm happy. Okay.... I can't think of any off hand' date=' but I bet there are![/quote'] Folklore comes into my mind after a while. However, Ellen's eyes ruin that. Also, Folklore has strange creatures running around, another significance for JRPGs.
FindingTheEverlight
I counted and added up my games, and this is the ratio of Japanese/American games, 18:5 (All Xbox 360 and GameCube and GBA).

Death Metal
I'm not a big fan of japanese games becuase the graphics always have a anime touch and im not big into the anime-style gaming (excluding kingdom hearts and final fantasy). Besides most of my favorite games come from america and my favorite game, elder scrolls, was produced in my state (maryland). Games That I Like That Are Produced In America: • The Elder Scrolls• Halo Series• Call Of Duty• Army Of Two• Gears Of War• The Sims Proving that all american made games aren't crap....at least to me. Destructor
It doesn't matter where the game is developed it just matters whether or not it's enjoyable Like I wouldn't care of a game is even developed other side of the Earth just as long as it's fun as hell
