World of WarCrack?

Recommended Posts

WoW is addictive as f***. I played it for 2+ years. I just recently said "I'm not putting up with this s*** anymore" and uninstalled it' date=' and Im glad I did. It was seriously affecting my school grades. I feel sorry for my friends who are just starting to play it.

Dude, you sound like a drug addict O.o And tell your friends to stop before it's too late.

 at the bolded

I've never even played world of warcraft myself; but it looks like it could be fun to play. :| I'm not really into video games that much. I'm all about music, guitars, women, fighting, and politics (wtf?). Lol I would probably try world of war"crack" if I was willing to pay that much though.

Nothing is healthy if you do it too much; and anything can be addictive. I'm addicted to Pepsi/Coke. (literally...)

It is at the discretion of the player to determine the actions taken to prevent excessive gameplay.

Personally, I am not pro-WoW; it's not my cup of tea, and I don't understand how people can play a game that REQUIRES 40+ people to play. The co-ordination...gah.

I won't diss it as a game, but I just won't play it. :(

I actually read a Self Motivation picture that summed it up quite nicely:

"World of Warcraft:

The Answer to Teen Pregnancy"

...though I find the "I'm not a nerd, I'm a Level 5 Paladin" T-shirt quite amusing. :P

Play in moderation. If you're wasting your life slobbing it up on your computer, you need to get out more.

(...says the guy who hasn't been outside in almost a week >.>)

The thing with video games is, and I'll argue this to any pro-"health" parent:

I'd rather be inside, with all the information at my fingertips, absorbing knowledge

than to be outside, with all the evils of the world in front of my eyes, gaining wisdom through harsh experience.

Sorry if I jumbled too much in one post.

I'm opinionated...XD

Great Technology just bumped its self up with Drugs & Alcohol' date=' what a [i']"Paradise"[/i] World we currently live, in fact we could maybe next make Duel Masters into a equivalent of Crack/Heroine if we all put our brains together. Lets not stop their! Lets also make it an online game that consumes the "Weak-Willed" and pushes away those who can stop at anytime, we could make millions! God I just love this world we love in, don't you all agree??[/sarcasm]

Great, due to people focusing WAY to much on games like WoW for instance and not enough on reality, we turned what was just a harmless game into a devastating drug..

P.S. When a person says playing to much of this game would affect your health, they are not being generous or suggesting it, they are saying stop for a moment and take care of that body of yours because while your in this lifetime you only get it ONCE..

And they want anything else? Seriously, do you think Marijuana would be illegal if our government could regulate sales and makes billions?

They don't give a damn, of course its unhealthy, but its the way the world is, a Greed driven craphole.

WoW is poison, videogames in general are a waste of time if they are not helping you succeed in life, and ones that can take time away from success due to extended playtime and take away hours of life due to lack of sleep should not be tolerated. It should be banned, along with any game that allows the played to kill another being.

Does not sleeping for a certain amount of time really drain your life away? If so, I just knocked off, at the very least, a week of my life for staying up for two weeks straight. I wasn't playing video games though. It was a big party.

You would be dead if you were up for 2 weeks straight. SRSLY, ONLY MILITARY PROS CAN DO THAT! :O

Nah, its not like it was inevitable anyway, but yeah, lack of sleep isn't exactly good for preserving lifetime. Not like it matters anyway, life is life.

Well, I'm not dead yet. Besides, it hasn't been a full two weeks. It's a day or two short though. And, to the "life is life" thing, I completely agree. Live life to it's fullest.

@FFR yes but sometimes it is to late like the guy in the video he is already violent if she cancels it it would be worse

Now look this is a world of techonlogy you could easily get hooked just by moving your cursor around. Now i played wow and i got to Lvl 30(Somthing) and i wasnt hooked i play CoH/CoV I'm not hooked. Some people just dont have self control i would say get up and walk away and get a wiff of fresh air.Everyday just go outside and walk somewhere and then walk back and you will see how easy it is to get over your addiction. And the reason why he is violent is because the game has some violent elements. The same thing goes with Mortal Kombat Grand Theft Auto or any other video game.

Its amazing how something so innocent can be so horrible.

My wife hates that game. She says it ruined 2 previous relationships because her boyfriends were so addicted to it that they spent all of their time on it (even when she was around).

I've since cancelled payments on my WoW account, although I may bring it back in the future. She isn't completely against it anymore, she just believes there should be a time limit on games like that.

Personally, I believe it can be an addicting game if you let it be. The individual has the power to say, "I am done playing for _____ amount of time." and it is up to them to uphold that. Being "addicting" is just a sign of a good game, as long as it doesn't interfere with what is important. As long as you keep your priorities in check (paying bills before playing WoW) then there shouldn't be a problem.
