Unless you want to show me a page of proof, please refrain from it.Lawl. Global warming for most people is:-Polar ice caps melting, flooding the world.-Torrential climate change.Actually is:-Al Gore wanting his face on T.V.In all honesty, even if the ice caps melt, it'd only get mildly hotter, since *Can't remember the douche-bag name of it* theory states that if Ice melts in water, the water level will not rise, as the weight inputted by the ice onto the water, which causes the water to rise, would equal the amount of water the ice caps would lose due to melting.Anyway.. On topic..Curiosity killed the cat? Curiosity is to blame then, not the cigarette. In effect, the cat becomes more at fault than the cigarette.I mean, from my perspective, since I'm only in the 11th grade, EVERYWHERE people are talking about adult films.. I try to be a good little christian boy and avoid it, for the sake of my own decency. Therefore, it's upon my own behalf to resist the curiosity, better word being temptation, not the behalf of others not to make me feel that way.Independence plays a basic factor in those to resist what people believe they "Freely have the right to do." Static
2sick, the theory that the water will displace itself when the ice melts is false. The physics of water makes it impossible. Not like it matters, Gore should have won the '00 election, and not tried to sound like he knows something about science. On the topic issue: The production of chemically filled smokables should be banned. Natural herbs and ground roots are much more healthy than rolled up nicotine and window cleaner tobacco. If there was no added toxicans added to the tobacco, I would say let them smoke it where they want. Since there are, you should not have a right to poison the air that others may have to breathe. It is essentially the same as deciding whether or not I am going to grow my super contagious airbourne virus' outside where it could catch wind, inside, or whether it is too dangerous to try at all, except you cannot get money to stop what you're doing/jailtime for smoking cigarettes. They're inhaling it directly into their lungs, to, whilst, we're breathing in what they breath out. What I'm getting at is.. Supernova513
My question is how is secondhand smoke more dangerous than firsthand? The person smoking the cigarette is getting the poison from inhaling the smoke AND from breathing in what they exhale. The secondhand is only getting what the firsthand breathed out. Now I disagree with smoking in that it is a waste of money and it can kill you, but I don't really care if people smoke in public places or not. I dunno, it never really affected me all too much other than the paranoia and the funny perception. Yeah, I know the whole friends not hanging with you thing though, I was one of those friends to another friend of mine, and though I think it was important that I not hang out with them while they were mentally addicted, I still regret having lost a good friend for that long. Man.... My friends as a general whole... really suck.... Lawl. Its only mentally addictive if you let it be. I had the thought, I should smoke weed so I can be happier after the first time, but I never really felt it strong enough to act on it. I dunno, maybe I'm weird. Other than that, I guess Marijuana is ok for certain people, and in certain regulation. Then again, anything that isn't poisoned, Psilocybin Fungi and the like of natural ground growing mind altering substances, isn't really bad for you if you use them in moderation. However, poison is something that should never be ingested, there's a reason the gag reflex exists. Case Closed.

The delirium this would cause would pretty much make us all look like idiots. =/. (Wow, I'm really not sure if that made sense or not.. O.O".) And yeah..2sick~ Well, you see... I smoked Marijuana FOUR times, and during these 4 times, I never had a sort of let down (and I know for a fact that at least 2 of the times I was smoking quality stuff). Marijuana is not addictive physically like tobacco, which is why it should be allowed over it.And on the issue of second hand smoke, do your research, its actually more unhealthy than the original smoke in the first place. http://www.epa.gov/smokefree/healtheffects.htmlhttp://www.lungusa.org/site/pp.asp?c=dvLUK9O0E&b=35422 Lol 4 times is nothing. I did it consistently until last month. It's not physically addictive, but it's mentally addictive. Everytime I had a problem I wanted to get high. Some of my friends (not the ones who got high with me) stopped hanging out with me because of it. I'm aware, but it was something compared to his one. Then again, anything that isn't poisoned, Psilocybin Fungi and the like of natural ground growing mind altering substances, aren't really bad for you if you use them in moderation. However, poison is something that should never be ingested, there's a reason the gag reflex exists. Case Closed.Just to clarify; I wasn't trying to brag or anything with my one.I just couldn't get more, as if I did, I would of surely continued. In honesty, smoking 3 more than me isn't anything great.=/. Yeah..Anyway, Static=Win. :D.
Dark
I am against it. That is because, if you want to ruin your life and die a cold, hard death because of smoking, be my guest. I really don't care. But when you smoke in a public area, you might be killing people through second-hand smoke. It SHOULD be considered a crime, beacuse you are putting OTHER people's lives in danger. So, if you want to smoke, do it when no one is around, so only YOU die and not 50 other people. saintslashgeorge666
You can't control people's lives. I am for public smoking. Second-Hand smoke (just like obesity) has been taken too far out of proportion. That isn't to say I like people smoking (or obesity) but the risk that their bad habit will affect our bodies is slim, especially in areas of high ventilation or outdoors. Dark
But there is still a 0.00001% chance someone else will die because of your (the smoker's) mistake. I consider that murder.
